External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar was in Bangkok to attend the 9th India-Thailand Joint Commission meeting as both countries celebrate 75 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations. He defended India's crude oil imports from Russia and termed it the 'best deal' for the nation. Addressing the Indian community in Bangkok, he discussed the rise in energy prices across the world due to the Russia-Ukraine war and said,'We have been open about its interest.
