Novak Djokovic slammed Cameron Norrie's behaviour following their Italian Open match which the Serb won 6-3, 6-4. Early in the second set, Norrie hit Djokovic in the left calf with an overhead smash after his opponent had already turned his back and conceded a point.

Djokovic however pointed to other moments throughout the game where he believed Norrie displayed bad sportsmanship, saying: 'From the very beginning, he was doing all the things that were allowed. He’s allowed to take a medical timeout. He’s allowed to hit a player. He’s allowed to say ‘come on’ in the face more or less every single point from basically first game.'

Biggest crybaby on tour. He turned his back so he has no argument about being upset about being hit by the ball. You weren’t even looking at him when he hit it, and he was focused on the smash, so there’s no argument. Norrie hit it down the center of the court, which is where Djokovic was standing with his back turned. You aren’t even supposed to give up on the point before it is over, that’s against the rules because it is very distracting and you also effectively are conceding the point by stopping playing. For him to get upset is absurd and cowardly. But this is typical Djokovic behavior. He’s a little boy who never made it past 11 developmentally.
