100 DNF's!!! That is amazing! Good for you Maeve. There are too many good books to push through a narrative you aren't enjoying. Lol! I love that you organize the little free libraries in your area. Thanks for the tag!
I realized I phrased this really poorly in my video. I said, “I think this year I’m nearing the 100 book mark of how many books I have DNFed” and what I should’ve said is, “I started keeping track of my DNFs in 2021 and as of this year I’ve reached 100 books DNFed since then.” 😅 Can’t wait for your version of this tag!!
I love that you organise your local little free libraries! It’s always easier to find something you’re interested in when books are grouped together, so that’s such a sweet service you provide to the users of those libraries.
Omg I loved hearing your perspective on skim reading to see the end of the book and if there is nothing, then you won’t feel as bad 😂 this was such a fun tag! Loved the prompts! Can’t wait to hear your other book recommendations ☺️
Would love to see a video about the oldest books you own 😍 If I see a book from a Little Free Library that I like, I always take it whether I have one or not. In my area they are always almost full or over full. When I unhaul books, I will 99% give them to Little Free Libraries and I sometimes get rid of 3+ books at at time. I don't think it's bad to take books without donating others, unless the person takes all the books 😅 This was such a cool tag! I'm going to add it to my list!
I also read in the Bathroom. Also, when I was younger, I had a strict bedtime, so I would take my books with me when I took showers so I could read my books. I specifically remember crying in the shower as I finished reading Fruits Baskets 🤣
1. Do you dog-ear your books? Nyet. 2. Do you annotate your books? No. 3. Do you roll covers or break spines when you read? Never. 4. Do you listen to something while you read? Sounds of the environment but nothing purposeful. 5. Do you read in the bathroom? Sure. 6. Do you read in water (such as in the bathtub, in a pool, etc)? Yeah. 7. Do you DNF? Almost always. 8. Do you ever read ahead or skip to the end of a book? Occasionally. 9. Are you book-polygamous (i.e., read more than one book at a time)? Since I rarely read entire books: thousands. 10. Do you own more books than bookshelf space? Haha. I have more books than is necessary so yes. BONUS: Do you ever take a book without leaving a book at a Little Free Library? I avoid them because I am afraid that I'll take them all. 11. Tag some people. Later.
That's a crazy amount of DNFs. I guess I often read a couple of paragraphs and then not read on, if I counted those I would have quite a few but my number is usually 0 a year 😂
@@AaronReadABook I count books even if I’ve only read a paragraph because I have a horrible memory and if I didn’t keep track I’d probably end up trying the same book multiple times. 😅
I just realized I phrased this really poorly in my video. I said, “I think this year I’m nearing the 100 book mark of how many books I have DNFed” and what I should’ve said is, “I started keeping track of my DNFs in 2021 and as of this year I’ve reached 100 books DNFed since then.” 😅
@@Maeve_Ever_Books Yeah that is a more normal number then. Sometimes i will pick out 5 books and try a bit of all of them, so I don't really count it as DNFing because i will read them one day probably.
This is fun! Thank you for the tag! I’ll probably do this on my channel, love a good “controversial” opinion. 😂 Spoiler alert lol I agree with most of your answers 😂
