Yamanashi Prefecture will start an advance reservation system from the 20th of this month in line with the collection of tolls and mountaineering regulations for climbing Mt. Fuji. Registration is voluntary, but advance payment of tolls is required. Starting this summer mountain season, a toll of 2,000 yen will be collected on the Mt. Fuji Yoshida route. Additionally, a gate will be installed at the trailhead at the fifth station, and entry will be restricted from 4:00 pm to 3:00 am the next day, with the exception of guests staying in mountain huts, if more than 4,000 people enter the mountain in one day.
