It was my first Christmas with my long time boyfriend and we got to spend it with my family and FaceTime his a little too! Overall a pretty stellar holiday

Definitely understand the “not being in safe space when you’re sick” thing! I got a stomach bug when I was 4 hours away in Chicago and it just made it 100 times worse. Being anxious you’re gonna get sick in front of people you don’t know, just a sense of loss of control really wears you down. It’s okay not be okay all the time and I’m glad you kind of share those moments on the vlog, because I think it’s really important for people to see that other people have bad days too. It’s easy to forget, we all have rough days and our own struggles!

Both you girls have been my inspiration to kickstart my business and to never give up even when it seems like nothing is happening. Have been watching since you were both filming in that little apartment! Thanks for taking us all on your journey and even sharing with us the tougher times, because we all go through it in life. Ohhh I can totally relate to the mental thing and feeling sorry for yourself when sick. Last year I went to Russia in midwinter for a semester abroad. Right in the beginning I got a full on ear infection and tonsillitis, including pus dribbling out of my ear. So I went to the doctor's with my exchange buddy and in the metro, I just started crying because of pain and just general misery. The doctor told me to get several medications and I googled them, because RUSSIA. Turned out, the one against infection was something you only get after severe operations like ORGAN TRANSPLANTS in Europe. 😲 I took it anyway because no alternative. So that's my story of being sick all alone. 😅

They already did a staying warm but stylish video a few years back! More fashion related though :) my pro tip is to have a quick foot bath in hot water if you don't want to/can't have a full on bath in the middle of the day but still want to warm up. :)

Oh Kelsey!! I am so sorry that you were sick 😥 18 of my 23 member family had that same nasty bug!! Hard to believe the same thing was going around from North Carolina to Canada 😱 I totally understand the mental health issue, sure hope you are feeling better. Omg Kelsey, thanks for opening up. I was sick with the stomach flu from the 30th to the 1st and kept having so much anxiety about being sick and not being able to eat. It's great to know that I'm not alone in this and that we are STRONGER than our illnesses even when we feel weak :)

Kelsey, my partner's brother had the EXACT same problem starting on christmas eve and until a few days ago. He couldn't join with us for the family party because he couldn't keep food down, felt weak, and couldn't eat. We still have no idea what it was, but maybe you both caught the same kind of bug. I'm sorry you had to go through that, i'm glad you're feeling a bit better!

I actually got sick also during the holidays, so I kind of feel you, Kelsey. I had to go to work during the last week of December so I was not able to recover during the New Year. I’m feeling a lot better now though. I hope you’re also well now.

Sorry you were feeling sick over the holidays Kels! I so get what you mean though - I have Crohn's Disease and I suffer migraines and when I'm feeling really off, I need to be by myself in my own space (which my family thinks is really weird, but I can't stand being around people when I'm feeling sick, even to have someone "looking after me" annoys the crap outta me - maybe it's an introvert thing).

My cousin, his girlfriend and I took your idea and rented an airbnb nearby the night before new year's eve and we went sledding and walked on a frozen lake (and got a little too drunk lol) Definitely the highlight of my holidays!

The new place looks great! Can't wait to see more. Also really appreciated the mental health snippet. My father passed away Dec. 19 so my holidays were bittersweet with family all around but coping with some crazy shit mentally. Appreciate the time you both put into the vlogs

I ended up with some sort of stomach issue going on and had to leave mid-present opening and occupy the only bathroom for like 30 people. It was like 100x worse than if I’d been at home. 10/10 would not like that to happen again
