It's Over! From Today It All Changes

I have decided to make some important changes to the way this channel works and it's largely thanks to you! From today I will:
- No longer do sponsored reviews all watches brought into the channel for review will be either self-funded, channel funded or patreon funded (when I get around to setting it up!)
- I will be open to borrowing watches (on-loan) and returning them to the brand once a review is concluded. But I will not keep the watch.
- I will still be using a posting affiliate links to products but I will have no affiliation with these brands.
Further to the video today I'd also like to clarify a few things I maybe missed out on the recording:
1) The hobby I am referring to is RU-vid (not watch collecting!)
2) The idea of both Patreon and Channel Sponors are in its infancy so don't expect any changes in the short-term
3) I currently don't plan on doing RU-vid full-time I love my day-job so the financial incentive is more around keeping the channel viable as a hobby - not a livelyhood!

Its admirable that you have changed the channels format because of other people's views I just hope you can make enough money to keep it going.

Thanks mate. It’s really important that I can take onboard constructive feedback from the community and I definitely think it’s an experiment worth doing. We’ll see how it goes but I think you may end up seeing a few watches for sale soon 😅!

Well, I would not be so strict if it was my channel. People often change their minds, so your poll results may not necessairly tell the truth. Or the truth may change in a month or a year. If I were you, I would not follow people's advice. I would make whatever brings joy to my life. I wish you all the best. Do whatever is important to you (not the people) and shape the channel accordingly. 👍

Thanks for comment mate, I think I can still make this financially viable by doing this but it has to be said it’s a risk - we’ll see how it goes!

We want dozens more Artem straps sponsored reviews, and plenty of plugs for Squarespace and Surfshark. We can't get enough of them.

I commented negatively on the Artem review but it was more about Artem and their marketing strategy, having seen so many other channels recently reviewing the same overpriced straps, rather than direct criticism of you. I hope you can make your new direction work but with so many other reviewers doing sponsored reviews of free watches/accessories I fear you may struggle. Good luck.

Completely understand! Everything was taken as constructive criticism and it was appreciated. We’ll see how we get one but I’m confident we can make it work!
