Mike, if you can, could you let us know why this ended? Did Kabota want to terminate it because you weren't using the MX5400 much anymore? I know that you are happy with Kabota etc., but you didn't actually say what caused this relationship to end and it would be cool if we could know. Yes, you don't have to say or tell. We get that. But what exactly happened. My guess is that they wanted more screen time on the MX or something like that. Is that the issue? Just buy the Kabota tractor that you currently love to use and ask them for a good deal on it. No need to shop around.

I had the privilege of preparing your defender for delivery, I put the first mile on it. Nice machine. I hope you enjoy it, but I have to apologize because I forgot to take bolt out of the receiver hitch where the hitch pin goes.

Oh so its your fault when it falls apart HAHA.. Far out of my price range for those machines, but dang they sure look nice LOL...wouldn't want the 4 door version, a 2 door with a longer bed would be far more useful for my needs.....I had a 2011 Yamaha Rhino 700....worst mistake I've ever made, dealer and their finance company was beyond horrible, and the machine itself wasn't very good either. I won't waste money on another UTV....I'd buy one of the Kei mini-trucks before I would ever buy another UTV.

Because of your channel I decided to BYU’s my Kubota. It is a great MX6000 with grapple, land plane, fork lift , mower and bucket. Used them all and improved my property to absorb the price. Love it! Named him King Kong. I will be 78 in two months proving you are never too old!

Mike, My hunting buddy bought a Defender Limited about four years ago and it has been a fantastic machine for the Idaho woods and deserts. We have made a lot of great memories hunting with the kids and recreating with our families in that machine. I hope you have the same experience with your new buggy! I also love the tan color. Congratulations, Mike! You've been a great ambassador for Kubota, and I'm sure they are equally appreciative of your participation in showcasing their products over the last four years. I'm a Kubota man myself, having had an L-2900 tractor, currently running a 24-year old TG1860 lawn tractor, and a 12-year old MX4700 tractor. Couldn't be happier with each of them. I have a 2020 CanAm defender 4 door and your gonna love it. Great ride, plenty of power, lots of cubby holes to carry stuff. In 4 years I have over 7000 miles on it and no problems! Use it pulling trailers, hauling equipment and supplies here on my ranch in SE Oklahoma.

Mike, just some food for thought. If the 2 implements are all you use on a tractor, both are available for skid steer. If your new trailer has the load capacity to haul your skid steer, you could safe money over a tractor purchase by just buying these units for the skid steer over tractor purchase, reduce maintenance cost and have 1 less piece of equipment to store.

Hi Mike! You will love the Can Am Max Limited. I have owned two of those units. Ran then from 20 degrees to over 100. Zero issues, very reliable. Drove it with the windshield open most of the time in the summer months. Makes it easy to shoot, lol... Enjoy!

I had a defender(camo) very similar (6 seat w/doors) and loved it while we had our cabin in Colorado. The heater will blow you out. The only thing we changed was the stock tires with some bigger ones. Never had an issue, you will love it

I've always wondered when the Kubota partnership would end, and what you'd do. You really bragged on the 4020 so i figured you'd just purchase it when they came to get it. I'm excited too, Mike. The GMC was a complete surprise!! Blew me away. I too have a black SUV, a Chevy Trailblazer, 2007. In my area all police and sheriff use Chevys, mostly Tahoes. Black, of course. I replace whatever is needed, im not ever trading it. I just love it. Everything works great on it. I watched Melissa's video yesterday on my TV. Just so you know, i bought a sub for supper, and it was nowhere as good as Melissa's!! Ill check out Eva's after i leave here. Don't look for any hate from me, i don't care if y'all have $2 or $2 trillion. I love your channel because you share your "real" w us. That's what i love. MIKE, I searched your channel when I wanted a tractor YEARS ago. You owned and spoke about the Kubota 3901 you first had. Continued watching, then a partnership came up with 'Sherman' and 'Big Red', so I bought one thinking it was the right fit for me. Boy, was I wrong! Was able to get rid of that brand and purchased a reliable replacement that fit my needs. Partnerships can sometimes be precarious! Whatever you purchase, definitely will be the best choice for you! Good stuff!

There is a paste that squeezes out of a tube will last for years use just a little put it on the the bottom of your fuel measuring stick. This paste changes color when detecting water in fuel tanks.

We have had a Can Am Defender Max for many years and we love it! We have a family of 6 and we can all ride it at once. I use it around the property but for joy riding it can really go - 60+ mph! Enjoy the new side by side!

Thank you for all you do. After watching your videos and seeing how you used your Kubota tractors I did buy my LX3310 about 2 1/2 years ago for our property. We have used and abused the machine and it keeps on ticking. I did lots of research and enjoyed your content and Neil Messick's channel. Very pleased with my purchase. I liked the green tractor too, but their paint seemed to add a premium to the cost over the comparable Kubotas. Enjoy watching your videos and hoping my retirement in a few years is as enjoyable as all the projects you keep busy with.

Mike and Melissa, you make excellent choices and decisions and I really enjoy seeing your progress on your many projects. It will be fun to see what SXS you will purchase for a work machine and pleasure trail riding. I ride a Polaris Ranger 900XP and love it because I use it every day here on our acreage and trailer it to many different states for trail riding and it works out fantastic. Was just checking them out at a new to me dealer not far from me. Went there to pickup parts for a lawn tractor and they had a bunch of Defenders on the lot all shiny and new with a price tag to match. Needless to say will be running my 610 Kawasaki Mule till she dies..

Great choice in a buggy. I have the 2 seater camo limited, been flawless so far. Not sure i would want a 4 seater for my style of work/riding at our property in Tioga Co but they are great machines and the A/C is great on those hot days. If you ever need any Larch to run thru your mill for any projects I have 9 acres that im going to be cutting soon, its free to a good home you just need to haul it. Road trip/video maybe?

Good choice on the CanAm. I have had a Defender HD8 for 6 years now and it has been great. Only complaint is that the grease fittings are useless. They pull out when pulling the grease gun off. They were also plastic. Hopefully they have changed that at CanAm. 👍

Suggest you purchase the Kubota RTV-X1140 open cab with steel roof and acrylic windshield. The ability to ride four folks comfortably vs. two is a significant advantage. And, being diesel, you simplify your fuel needs. Great machine.

Mike, I was thinking about you just talking about putting that awning up. You know you could take. I think you got what 2 containers? You can take 2 of those containers and put on each end of that 1 section and put you some. What they call them. The trusses upon top and then might get wide enough the. You can parcos. You're all your equipment under it and you can even build a 4 foot wall to put your trassers on top of your containers and then that way, you'll have more room and higher up to park anything under it. You could even make that places to store your wood that you want to dry

I'm really glad you went with the CanAm. I've been on jobs where there were hundreds of Polaris side by sides and they were all junk. It's not like they were ragged out either, for the most part they were kept on gravel with a 12mph speed limit. There were several Kubotas as well and they were really solid, little to no trouble out of those.

Congrats on the CanAm Defender….my brother has had the 10 and 8 for several years and they’re impressive. Comfortable and smooth beyond compare and loads of power. They go way way faster than you want to go, that’s for sure. I have an older Bobcat diesel and it’s really nice, but jumping from it into the CanAm is like going from an Impala to a Sedan De Ville! Going over rocks and not spilling your coffee smooth.

Hello. I purchased the same machine about 6 months ago and I love it. No problems so far. Mine is a 3 seater. I do have a suggestion for you. Have the fender flair kit installed on it. The tires stick out just far enough that it will throw dirt and mud all the way up on the side windows. They won’t eliminate it but they keep it down lower and more manageable.

Sad to see the partnership go, but it’s one less thing you have to worry about. I just picked up a Defender as a demo unit. Rotax runs great and is really quiet. Yours has power front windows which is great. I like your attitude about it like being a clean start or “reboot”. Love your road too. Keep up the good work.

I would check out the American made Ventrac, made in Ohio, stump grinders, lawn care, rotor tillers and bunches of very heavy duty implement and accessories…handy like a “pocket on a shirt”.

as for the tractor goes , i think the 40/20 is a perfect fit for you. you should consider buying it from them.. not to small but big enough to do most of your choirs. easily trailored. best of luck.

An option for the skid steer would be to add a grader attachment. You'll have the utility of a small road grader while using the skid steer as the motive power. You can also get land plane attachments for the skid steer.

I’ve had a can am defender hd10 three passenger open air in the camouflage for seven years now. Last week I traded it for a defender max limited in the gray color. So like you, it new for me. I live on a farm in Ky and we use it to tend livestock.

Straps and safety lock: If the ratchet strap handle is not closed flat, you have not locked the secondary safety latch. It ensures both paws are engaged in the ratchet and prevents the paws from bouncing out should the paw spring break and load shift. Not criticising, just awareness....have a good day! 👋🤠 Also, not all straps have the third lock that requires you to physically release the second lock.....

CanAm defender is a great choice. We have 3 3 seaters and a 6 seater for our construction company. Great machines sold our old 6 seater with just under 13k miles. I have one for my personal use I love it.

I know you've probably already planned on a certain tractor. But if your looking for a compact tractor, you might want to take a look at the versatility of a Ventrac. They have attachments to cover everything you need for trail maintenance, land prep, plus mow-to-snow.

Good morning Folks, Mike that buffed up Mack on the trailer is B model. Produced from 1953-1966. Replaced by thr R model the one pulling the trailer. The B model aerodynamicslope of the windshield and round corners of body parts.I took My cdl driving test on a new 1966 R model. Real easy to drive power steering and just 5 speed transmission. Aced it first try! New Can Am is a nice unit.

Good choice on the new sxs. I had a 2022 HD10 max XMR edition and after I got the computer flashed to run richer so the exhaust wouldn’t get cherry red I never had a single issue with it. They may of solved that issue by now tho. You’ll love it

I look back at all the video's and you all have come a long way. What a wonderful journey not only for your channel but your family and community. Up in Ontario that CanAm brand is pretty popular and well constructed pieces of equipment. Maybe I'm jaded but that colour orange suits you so I'm thinking another Kabota will be the replacement tractor? Just a wild hunch. Any news on the drum sander? Have a great rest of the day and I'll be checking Eva's new video out in the morning :)

Excellent video and point. I have a Kubota tractor and the rtv900 side by. My tractor is 8 years old and I still have the original battery. No repairs just regular service. I farm and keep my property up along with food plots at my hunting lease. I’m getting an itch for a new tractor maybe even larger but I don’t know if I’d use it choosing my current tractor over the new one.

We have a Can Am limited max and we love it. It's already got 3000 miles on it and when we get a bunch more we'll be trading it in on a new one.

i have the same machine. you can license them to drive on the city roads. you will need a horn, turn signals, license plate with tag light all plug and play extras

Mike, one would think that Kabota would give you a good deal on the purchase of that LX4020. It is used and you really gave them great publicity on all your Kabota equipment. That CanAm side by side is really nice. Good luck with all your new endeavors.

Nice machine Mike! I’ve always been a Polaris Ranger guy before they got so popular (2004, now a 2019 Northstar), but I think the Can Am is a good choice. Enjoy!

Hate the kubota deal is ending. Your integrity is awesome, RU-vidrs sellout everyday for any type of deal. You’re a man of conviction, doing it your own way. The original in many ways. It’ll be interesting to see what tractor you go with.

I have a CanAm Maverick X3 and it's a great machine and I also have a Kubota RTV with cab and AC but I think I would really like and use more, the CanAm Defender. I think it could replace both machines all in one. Just thinking out loud. I'm curious what kind of tractor that you will be getting. I have a Mahindra 6075 (74hp) cab tractor with power shuttle with a nice grapple on it. Probably my favorite tractor of all time out of many. Best part is that it does not need DEF fluid or particulate filter or regeneration. Lifts more, pulls more and weighs more than the others for less money and a better warranty. Can't wait to see what you get though.

The Can/Am will not disappoint you one bit .They are a high quality machine and they work awesome .We use them year round in Northern Ontario and have no issues what so ever over 6 thousand miles on it and no issues at all.We use it for hunting ,work and pleasure and just been totally dependable and reliable .
