Regarding the "popping in" of NPCs in the hotel area, that's normal, although there seems to be a bit of a visual glitch on your end since they're supposed to fade in smoothly rather than suddenly appearing.

Fun fact, when acheron says she was joking you can randomly get an alternate text where she says "have I come to the wrong room? This can't be, before I said anything I made sure I had the right number. Do I have the wrong wing or Block?" Which is really funny XD

A cool detail, some of the things in red Acheron says is different for each player. Like some of the red dialogue in the scene where she's in your room after Aventurine left was different for me. Glad you're finally at Penacony!!

The general catch to thought experiments where you choose to live in reality or a perfect dream is that, upon entering the dream, you'd lose the knowledge that it is a dream and live through it thinking it was reality. The idea is that most people would choose not to live in such a dream because the idea of ignorantly living in a simulation like that with no idea that it's all artificial is somewhat unsettling, and people generally value 'reality' over happiness (the matrix is for sure the biggest example of this). I think that's what makes Acheron's meta comment about 'thousands of versions of you replying differently' so cool - its not like she fully has meta knowledge, but she does seem to have this way of telling that there is more than one 'version' of the conversation that she is having with you. That is also shown by her having randomly different dialogue for different players too, which is one of my favourite details about her conversation with us.

About the red text (not a spoiler). It can vary from person to person. I for example had a completely different dialogue when Acheron entered the room.

Part of the reason I was looking forward to you visiting Penacony for the first time is that I knew you'd be meeting Acheron pretty immediately! It's definitely an intriuging introduction to Penacony!

22:30 You should really listen to the train radio at the end of each main quest or before starting a new one, it's basically a contextualization of your current situation and bits of information that can just be world building or hints about future quests. During the main quest the message is the same until you finish it, so I think it's still worth going back and listening just to get some context, it would help clear up some of your doubts without the risk of someone giving you spoilers in an attempt to explain something. Other more general questions about the paths and groups can be answered by reading the database summaries, but I don't know if there is a risk of spoilers due to new updates. I know that some characters have their descriptions or information updated as the quests progress to avoid spoilers, but I don't know if the same happens with the database.

So, I wanted to laugh because you were saying last time you weren't going to use Acheron until you meet her and I knew you were basically going to meet everyone off the bat. Finality's vision lets you open/go/or do things ahead of time. That one shown is from a map you unlock later but you are limited and can't go everywhere, you could always do it to do Apocalyptic Shadow, Pure Fiction is in the Xianshou, but you have to do a specific world quest first. Also you missed optionally talking to Misha and Aventurine after the first time you talked to them.

Btw mage, just a fyi that Acheron has alot, and I mean ALOT of references to a different game from hoyoverse called Honkai impact 3rd. She is essentially a different varient of a character called "Raiden Mei". If some of the things she says seems weird to you, especially when she says that you remind her of someone else, it's basically a reference to hi3.
