I hope you enjoy this 1 hour long version of Moonlight Sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven on the piano but it's playing in another room - it's one of my favourite pieces. If you do, give it a like!
Thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments on my other videos about how much you enjoy them and how they help you with your sleep, studying, work or whatever else. It's great to see so much positivity.
If you have suggestions for other songs/music you'd like me to do, leave a comment below. And don't forget to subscribe for more videos.
be present, stay safe!
just stop thinking is a channel dedicated to providing music and entertainment to help you calm your overactive mind. We believe that, sometimes, the best thing that we can do is switch off our brains, take a deep breath, live in the moment and just stop thinking.

I’m going to share a little story: I sat on the same seat every day. It’s something I can’t help. Wherever i sit, I have to repeat, the bathroom stall I use first is the one I use all year. It was the seat on the back left wheel of the bus. I remember the view outside the school bus window vividly. The park where carefree kids would be playing. The piles of snow when the plows would come through after a blizzard. I had a playlist of the best 100 classical pieces of all time loaded on a small iPod shuffle. I tried to keep it hidden in my pocket, since other kids made fun of me for not having a phone in 7th grade. Those bus rides were cold, loud, bumpy, and not to mention very long and tiring, but that music always made it better. My brother struggled with addiction, and my home didn’t feel safe anymore. At school I had seemingly lost all the friends I had made by my stupid actions. But on that seat on the bus I could be separated from it all, even for a little while. I would find my favorite piece: Beethoven’s moonlight sonata and feel okay for a while. I could become part of the music. I could cry, I could draw, I could read, and everything would be ok. It’s the summer after 9th grade. The world is in lockdown. My brother has gotten better, and moved in with my grandparents to finish high school. He has a good job and a nice girlfriend. I managed to have a boyfriend for 2 weeks, but we both realized it wasn’t going to work out. My parents found out and got really mad. They took away my phone for a week, and it was hard not having my music to listen to, but it was ok. Things weren’t as bad then. I found my shuffle a few weeks later. All the memories came back as I turned on the song that got me through so much. I lay in bed and cried over everything that had changed. My family and I moved across the country. I tried to make new friends, but realized that they didn’t really care about me that much at all and never responded to my texts. My best friend who I had to leave in my old town stopped talking to me. I started having the urge to harm my body. And I didn’t know why. I didn’t know I was depressed, I thought something was wrong with me. My parents started arguing a lot and my other brother became suicidal and not very good. The middle of 10th grade. It’s Saturday December 5th. It’s almost the end of the semester. This semester has been really hard. At the beginning it wasn’t too bad. My grades were fine, and my family didn’t argue so much. Then when I went back to school in person, I began to realize how few friends I actually had. I only have one friend who texts me or even talks to me outside of class discussions. If you’re reading this Karen, you’re literally the best person ever. You’re amazing, and I can’t wait to hear you play the saxophone one day. My other friends don’t text me, and cut me off when I talk. I’ve started to have flashbacks of middle school, when my “friends” did that to me then. I am so scared. My mental health has been really bad, but I don’t have anyone to talk to about it. The only thing keeping me alive is art. I love to draw, paint, etc. it’s like when I draw I don’t think of dying, I don’t think of fake friends, I don’t think of time, it’s just me, my music, and the paper/canvas. I want to be an artist when I graduate high school. I want to tell other people that it’s gonna be ok, and do that through my art. I’ve been spending too much time on RU-vid lately, because it’s like an escape for me. I saw this video on my recommended page, and decided to click on it. When I heard these notes, I was taken back to those times, sitting on the bus, daydreaming my way to a better world in my head. I was reminded of the person I was, and how I’ve grown. I’ve learned how to take better care of myself. I’ve learned how to accept myself more, and not be too hard on myself for not having many friends. Life is still very hard, especially with my family coming up with many new derogatory names for me, including b**ch, piece of sh*t, and more. I used to not be able to live with myself after hearing those words, but I’m getting stronger. I’ve started a small business to make money to move out when I’m old enough. I’m only 15, but I feel like I’ve grown up too fast. I’m trying to hold on to the last bits of my childhood that make me feel carefree and loved. One of those is this piece, Beethoven’s moonlight sonata. It somehow reminds me that although life is rough, and depression sucks, they don’t define me, I do.

Your story has emotionally thrown me (if that makes any sense), I'm in awe of your resilience. I relate to your struggles a lot, not having many friends, mental illness, difficult home life, but obviously I can't see inside your head so I'd never know for sure. You're right, you are beautiful, you are worthy of love, you are strong, you are more than others perceptions of you, and I hope you are ok. It's so good that you're planning for a better future for yourself, the world needs your art. You have inspired me and given me hope for my future even though you're younger than me. Listening to this music now, I want to be a better person, to be able to listen to it in the future and it remind me of how far I've come. Please remember what you said and know that it is the absolute truth. I hope everything works out well for you :)

You are not alone. Sometimes, life feels unnecessary, but when you think about "these things" you start to know how much do the little things help to give reasons for living. So am I, I have felt way too lonely since my childhood. But one thing that I learned, is to always appreciate all the things that make me feel saffer, and better person, no matter if they are many things, or to little reasons. This is also one. And remember, one time, you will not be capable to even take time to remember, so try as much as you will, always, because life's meaning is abstract, it's free, adjustable, and full of bad, but if we take a look, appreciate the present, the past, future, for all, for even this things like this video right here, we will definitely life like no one did before, and that's a purpose too! 😅 Have a nice day/night.

I guess I’m sharing my story... Everyday was the same for me. I would wake up incredibly tired. I get dressed and go to school. I would trudge through my classes and plaster on a smile when I was with my friends. For a while I thought it was normal. Going through everyday life with emptiness. I really couldn’t feel a thing. Not happiness. Not joy. Not even sadness. Even when I would come home from my walk home to my mom yelling at me, constantly wondering what I did wrong this time but I never cared. I would let her scream and go to my room. My empty room. Nothing but a bed and a desk. I never cared for decorating, it was just the room of shell. No need for joy, just sleep. After a while, I realized my non-emotions was wrong. So wrong that I wanted, needed to feel something. TW: so I did it. I felt something. Pain. I harmed myself and I felt pain. The stinging hurt but I loved it. The way the pain felt. So that was my life for a long while. Wake up, put on mask and go to school, come home, get yelled at, go to my room, indulge myself with pain, sleep. I barely ate, my mom never cared to feed me and I was too young and not trusted enough to go out to grab food at the store. I would just have a little snack and go to my room. At that point, that was my life. Waiting until I could go home and let myself feel something. It was an addiction to me. After a while, I found this song. Moonlight Sonata. I played it and I don’t know. For the first time in my life there was peace. That urge for pain washed away. My life washed away. My brain shut off and I could feel nothing but this song. The sadness, the anger. I remember thinking, so peaceful. I eventually stopped with the harming. But this song stayed. It was my only outlet for emotion. A few months later I got the chance to move in with my dad. I was happy. I didn’t have to deal with my mom anymore. So I moved, thinking that it would be great. After a while, my dad forced me to move schools, leaving my only friends. Then my phone was shut off, I couldn’t reach out to them, or my siblings. And then my dad wouldn’t talk to me. I stopped sleeping as much. I would “wake up” get dressed, go to this strange school, trudge my way through classes with no friends, and I wasn’t allowed to stay after school for any reason, or allowed to go outside (I was in high school), I stopped eating(even more) my dad never paid the school for free food so yea, he would go out and do whatever he wanted while I was stuck at home, at this point living with my dad flipped a switch in me.... instead of not feeling anything, I felt everything. I cried every night, so angry I punched walls, during the nights where I wasn’t sleeping, I would cry until I got the peace of not feeling a thing. At that point I started indulging my pain again, the only thing that kept me going was music, this song. Fast forward to now, I’m back with my mom, (a bit better now) that switch is flipped again. Not feeling much of anything but with everything that I went through with my dad, I’m okay with that. I came back to this song and everything just came flooding back so I thought I’d share my story. I’m okay...sometimes but at least I made it through. (Wow that was long sorry :/)

I will share my story like someone else did: It was another day, my anxiousness always made the room tense. For my orchestra class, there was a listening assignment we had to do on Beethoven. I was searching for music and found none that interested me, until I came across a piece of music titled, “Moonlight Sonata.” As I sat there and listened, I was immediately trapped in the sound. I felt comforted, like I never had before. My anxiety was always coming over me, slashing its claws through my stomach and heart. But this was different. I felt comforted and loved. That night, I was shaking, huddled in a ball, wondering if at that moment I was in danger. I scrolled through youtube, staying up late in the middle of the night as any other teenager would. My fingers and eyes started shutting down, as I nearly fell asleep right there, when I saw that same video, but with rain sounds in the background. At the time it didn’t seem coincidental, but now that I look back, I think it was for me. Again I listened, and was immediately taken back into that trance, feeling the rhythm in my head, the counts, the notes overswept me like a tsunami on a torn city. It was me and the music, and my shaking and sweating and stomach pain slowly vanished, just me and the moonlight sonata ringing through my ears as I dozed off. Still to this day, my life hasn’t been so great, I’m anxious, scrolling through youtube as I just wait for time to pass, and it always finds me again. That same piece that cures my heart and fills that void. I have always loved the sounds of the soft piano, and it lifts me high. I feel like nothing can ever stop me. I started to play the music myself, and although I am not Beethoven, I get in my zone, and yet again, there I am, just me and the piano. Going back into that trance, playing without looking, and allowing the sounds of every delicate key to overtake me. I understand my passion for music, and this moonlight sonata, will always be the healing of my heart.

I used to hate on classical music because everyone else did. I was so afraid (still am) someone would judge me for listening to it. I spend most of my time reading, writing, and drawing, so I don’t fit in much with other kids my age. Maybe because I stay to myself. The first time I heard a classical song and actually listened to it I fell in love with it. It made me feel at ease with myself. I’ve been going through a lot over the years and no one has known. Just like how I am with music I’m afraid of what people will think. This song specifically is the first classical song I LISTENED to. This song taught me how to breathe again. This song helped me through a lot. if anyone reads this I hope you have a nice night and dream well. If you are ever going through something just know you aren’t alone. Goodnight 🌙

I really knew a neighbor who played piano. I delivered news papers in 8th grade to make some extra cash and I always delivered to this one guys house. He always played very somber sounding piano. Never happy tunes. One day I went to put the paper in the mail box and I heard a loud noise. Through the window I saw him continuesly smash on the keys. He then yelled "I fucking love wednesdays". After that he played nothing but happy music. Then one day the music stopped all together. He was sitting in the next room with a girl, they laughed and drank wine. I quit my job but drove past the house every so often on my way home from school. The house was briefly for sale. I never heard him play ever again, the piano was for sale. Whatever happend that wednesday changed his life forever. I think of that man every time I hear piano music. It makes you wounder what could happen.

something about loving is somewhat torture. you are always on edge, do you love them? is it a crush? do they love you back? are they a phase?... are you a phase?.. those questions have always haunted me. i am jinx, i have had a crush on one boy for four years, been in and out of relashionships and still couldn't have the same feeling that i did for him. i have tried, over and over, to tell him, but i can never get to the "hey, i really like you, i have for four years" part. we are really great freinds i dont want to ruin it, he said he had a crush on me once, and lost feelings. when he said that, i had feelings for a moment realizing he had felt the same for me, did he go through that? over me? i felt so bad, i said i was sorry. he said "for what?" and i realized that he only had a _crush_ on me, not full on, i want to marry you, have kids, love together till the end, and i stared at him for a whole minute, i remember it like it was yesterday. it was 2 years ago. i want to stop loving him, its getting to be so bad for me, seeing a post on his youtube saying that he loves another. i cried for days when that happened. he has no idea im going through this. cant he see the signs? i look at him different, talk to him different, act different, what am i doing wrong? why cant he fucking notice? i just want to open my phone and see a text from him saying "i love you," simple. i want you so bad toby. i want you so bad. you are hurting me. i love you.

uh so i wrote something while listening to this isdfuhdsnkj\i - the rain poured down on us, the day of our final goodbyes, a day that i can finally let go of the burden that is him. we stood in the downpour without exchanging a single word until he finally spoke, "why dont you love me, when all i have done is treat you well, gave you everything in my heart, why is it?" i trembled, i had imagined scenarios of this exact moment time and time again leading up to now, spent countless nights trying to piece together the shards of glass that was myself. "you cannot give what you do not have, you say you love me yet you do not have it in your heart to love yourself, how on earth am i meant to continue on with something that will end in inevitable misery?" the silence between us would've been deafening if not for the violent sounds of the rain, then he spoke again, with words that cut through my heart a thousand times, over and over, though i had expected it. after all, i knew him. "i cant live without you." and with my final words, i left, i left it all behind with the rainfall. "then die." - I CANT TELL IF THAT WAS GOOD OR BAD OK BYESFHSUDF

I have a suggestion! The Dying Swan? It's a beautiful piece of music, its delicate and describes not just death but a life story as its ending. As you either imagine the swan as something else or someone else, it could be sinking into the dirt and grass in a lovely yet tragic garden, that we would only stare in boredom, curiosity, and feel we cannot help that life. Or watch the swan die in a pond, lake, of your choice that you think suits your mind. The waters colour to me wouldn't be groomed but dirty, filling almost every corner of the lake/pond as the swan is giving up not knowing it was a few swims away of reaching the angelic side of the water. You can make up anything for any piece of music, unless those sounds that come out of certain notes create nothing more but one singular story. Music is incredible. I especially enjoy classical for it really explains things that I don't have the power to explain. The Dying Swan would be a perfect fit for your style of creating study music, or simply for just shutting off your brain to a certain extent and wipe it clean to please your spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental well being. It's lovely isn't it? Please consider doing The Dying Swan. It would mean a lot to me and many others, maybe even yourself because the piece of music is so powerful. And then if you feel like it, Je Te Laisserai Des Mots is a lovely piece as well. And Lacrimosa. You might be busy so take your time. :) But in the near future please consider doing these.

Revenge serves in a cold place that can be given to anyone that is not warned about reality but to get to that “no turn back point” you need to question yourself what is or was the cost to get where you are at🎩.

What I want. The only thing I ask of. Is to listen to this song in the middle of winter with its beauty. Snow gently falling onto the already covered frosty ground. Piece by piece. Bit by bit. Every flake, unique, beautiful, astounding. Flowing gracefully in the gentle yet strong wind, howling past the trees, through the mountains, and over the rivers and creeks. The sun gusted by the opaque gray clouds. Hazing blue in the distances. The chill and frost nipping at my skin, frigidly crawling as slow but fast as the breeze trips by again, carrying off crisp relaxed breaths. A single tear shed for the beauty of this, this what we call nature: Mother Nature and her beauty.

Please ignore this comment Bruh wtf thats so mean. Atleast your parents agree that she is being mean and stuff. I'm so sorry you had to deal with her. Dont let her words get to you. she's just being not a nice woman so you should just ignore her. I wouldn't trust her word either, so you probably should get a second opinion. I'm sorry you had to deal with someone like that. It'll be okay. You shouldnt worry about her. Don't let things like her effect your emotions. She's just mean. I'm sorry iris

This is really bad and embarrassing but anyways- She started towards the café door, exiting the coziness. The jazz music being played on the piano slowly faded out. The navy sky hovered over her as dark clouds gathered to gush. The black rain poured creating puddles of blue water mirroring the dark sky. Her enticing hazel eyes locked with his emerald green. His fluffy blonde hair drenched, as her long light brown. They steadily walked up to each other, their eyes not moving focus. Just a few days ago, she would give anything to have this man killed. Stood in front of her, her father's enemies' son. But his eyes softened when they met hers. Her heart melted at every word which escaped his lips. She wanted to live out an eternity with this man. But she couldn’t let him know. She couldn’t let anyone know. It was dangerous. For her, for him. The wind brushed past hard, soaking and pulling her hair backwards, as it pulled his forwards. He approached her. But before she could say anything, any nasty taunt, any insulting joke, any degrading remark, he quickly wrapped his hands around her waist. Embracing her, as her hands were on his shoulders. She tried to pull away for a second. But the stillness in his eyes. The serious look he gave. Oh his handsome expressions. It melted her. And as they stood, drenched in rain, in an never-ending embrace, she forgot all about her problems. As if the rain washed them away and they seeped into the gutters. Those few seconds were the most magical of her life. The strong winds swooshed the café door open. The loud piano music could be clearly heard, slightly fainted over the rain. “Moonlight Sonata,” he smirked.

🌎 What if there is a God, and he has made his will known to his creation through his word? What if in his word you find the complete opposite is true to your current ideology? What if because you rejected his word by your own free will to rebel, are judged according to the words of God that you rejected🤔 Does this make God that evil or unjust God you speak of, because of your own decision to reject him 🤔 RECEIVE THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE ! ! If you are here and are not a believer in Christ Jesus, your only concern should be your reconciliation with God,, as you (and all of humanity) have been separated from Him because of sin and are awaiting His righteous judgment. As a perfectly just and Holy God, he cannot arbitrarily pardon your sin, anymore than a good judge would allow a convicted child molester to walk out of the courtroom without punishment. ANY offense toward God, however, is of an infinite nature. Being an infinite God, and of infinite worth and power, our rebellion (lack of keeping His commands PERFECTLY) necessitates an infinite punishment i.e. hell. God’s loving nature engenders the absolute hatred of evil which would include you and I. Our case is a hopeless one, indeed…. BUT…. Jesus Christ came in the flesh to atone for the sin of humanity (John 1:14), offering Himself as the spotless sacrifice pleasing to The Father (Hebrews 9:22/1 Peter 1:19), as men are utterly hopeless to save themselves (Ephesians 2:1 & 8). He bore the sin of the world and the very wrath of God (1 John 2:2/ Matthew 27:46), that whosoever would come to Him (John 3:16), forsaking their sin, could do so through His shed blood. He was crucified unto death. He rose again from the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Those who believe in their heart and confess with their tongue that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead shall be saved; to the glory of God the Father (Romans 10:9). Christ is seated at the right hand of God having been given all power and dominion (Romans 8:34/Ephesians 1:20-23). He will return for His bride (the church) and establish His kingdom (John 14:3). He will judge the world in righteous judgment (Revelation 20:11-15) The Holy Spirit, being God, has been sent as earnest for true believers until Christ returns (2 Corinthians 1:22). He dwells in true believers and guides them into all truth (John 14:16-17, 26/John 16:13). REPENT! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand (Matthew 4:17).🌹
