Simplified cars are what they say on the tin. They're actually full different versions of the cars with less complex physics skeletons. They have less nodes, beams, and parts that can break off so you can fit 6 or 7 of them on a CPU core instead of 2ish cars with fully detailed physics skeletons. If you want to toy with them yourself, you can click the "include auxiliary debug content" checkbox in the vehicle selector to see the configs on the cars that have them, which you can then spawn and drive yourself. They generally only have bumpers, mirrors, hoods and trunks that come off, being attached to a very simplified body skeleton. They also have slightly lower complexity wheels as they don't need to roll as smoothly. All of the parts are still visible, but many (like the exhaust, engine block, head/tail lights, doors, etc. aren't individually simulated as part of the physics model. Instead their weights and collisions are approximated by the simplified body. There are even more simplified "parked" versions which have all of their driveline code removed, and pentagonal wheels to be even cheaper on the CPU. Think of them like traffic cars in Burnout Paradise. They're there to be obstacles to smack, look convincing enough for the half second you see them crunch before tumbling on, without being too expensive. They work well for that purpose but if you pay any significant attention to them the illusion falls apart as they're incredibly basic and only have a couple of parts that can fall off compared to the player car.

Man the filming crew have just got to be absolutely devastated that they didn´t get to be the cars that fell from the sky to crush Alex´s hopes and dreams.... If this keeps up soon even their gaming tasks will be automated!

There was a little section there for the trophy truck where it felt like you were in a haunted house or something with all the cars suddenly appearing from the side out of the trees, lol.

ive had fun running the race the flood WITH the random damage mod. if you could multiplayer that somehow.... random damage does work on ai cars too.

This would make a really funny race! It's like "survive the flood (or lava)" but with raining cars! I don't know if this could work with multiplayer, but that would be awesome if it did!

woah, this is an awesome mod. reminds me of the 2012 movie where they drive the limo to escape LA and a multi story car park tips over, raining a bunch of cars around them. very action movie

Faster you will go then higher chance to collision... bcs not only things that hit you spot on at the time but also those that are landing in a "danger zone" in front of you (area where if a vehicle lands, you are not able to stop or evade it) but the way RNG is programmed in PCs it ensures you will get hit eventually if stationary. But moving is still better strategy since shorter distance to finish = less likely to be hit or critically hit on remainder of the way.

Have to admit, I see "Oh, it's a new failrace vid!" and I'm excited. Then I see "oh, it's single player," and I'm disappointed. I still have fun with it, but I like the competitions and Hunt the Survivors and Gone in 48 Minutes, (and of course a new Survive the Hunt coming this week.) Though I suspect that this game mode couldn't possibly work in multiplayer. There's enough technical difficulty keeping 12 or 13 people connected. Random spawning of additional vehicles? I don't see it working out.

Liked this one. Would be cool to see more.

Honestly, a multiplayer race (1v1 tournament style) in some small vehicles on this map could be great fun to watch, even without the falling cars.

Good map choice to showcase this mod on. Everyone else seems to have defaulted to the West Coast map, which is cool for a few minutes but gets rather boring.

Insane that you consider driving down a difficult road as a "simple task"

You should do this map on multiplayer without the chaos cars. Be funny to watch with all the crew

Now have the hunters do this. But, they have to close their eyes when they spawn it in or throw it randomly.

Reminds me of twister when Jo's truck gets sucked up and then dropped infront of bills truck.

You should do this with the failrace crew instead of survive the flood but while your testing it you are all racing the flood but when you go to do it you change it to falling cars so they get caught completely off guard

I think we are due some soapbox racing on beamng remove engines and throw them down a good hill track maybe even scale vehicles down if thats possible

Do this again but with logs or steel coils!

Chaos Mod on BeamMP would be nuts and melt all the CPUs and GPUs.

This challenge is too random, I would prefer something more skill-based, which I think would also be more thrilling, such as: 1) Customizing a police escape mobile, and 2) Putting it through its paces on Italy Fastello map, trying to reach the airport where the cops don't spawn.
