I'm really disappointed there has been zero news on DLC for Spider-Man 2 since it's release. Not even a downright confirmation that it won't be happening. *It took me 50 hours to 100% Platinum Spiderman 2* *While it took me more than 120+ hours to Platinum Batman: Arkham Knight* ... S2 truly suffers due to a severe lack of Endgame content, replay value on launch, & overall in-game content outside of active storylines...
Symbiote Related stuff for me is the best thing about Spider-man games. So seeing them dedicate a whole game for Carnage instead of a little dlc, I can respect it.

I honestly hoped we would get a Wolverine trailer at the State of Play but having a trailer for Wolverine or DLC for Spider-Man 2 at the game awards would be exciting
there will be a 30th anniversary event first week of Dec (as there always is for Playstation anniversary years). The proof is TGAs is scheduled for 2nd week of Dec (which only happens if there is a PS event the 1st week of Dec). They are likely saving announcements for that big celebratory event.
I thought Spider-Man 2 was much more of the same, insominiac is looking like the new Ubisoft that only knows how to do the same style of game without almost any major innovation, it looks like a DLC from the first game

Not saying DLC is a must. But I have over 1400 hours on the game. And would like more content. At the end of the day its out of my control, but I'm not going to complain for extra content for this amazing game.

I was hearing the hacker that hacked them deleted all their files for the DLC, so they'd have to remake everything from scratch but right now their busy making the wolverine game to even focus on the spiderman 2 DLC
I can live with Spider-Man 2 not getting a DLC. The part that really bothers me is the fact that insomniac is still being so vague about it. If there’s no DLC, then just TELL US.
@caboose I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again insomniac is working on porting it to pc and it probably delayed more because beyond the spider-verse got delayed till next year, so there’s probably more Easter eggs or a full dlc for it
Working so hard for 6 month for new game+ that add nothing, but new suits, gadget skins, and upgrades, i wouldn't admit that was their hard work, they are being lazy over their successful, i won't feel bad if they are falling apart one day
I really don't think they're going to drop any DLC just because of those leaks I honestly think that they refused to make the DLCs now I literally only watched that whole presentation in hopes that there would be some kind of Spider-Man 2 update about DLC or even if they just announced the title to the next game or something I just I legitimately was expecting it just anything from Spider-Man

It's a business tactic, as long as they don't say anything Spiderman 2 still remains in the conversation. The problem with that is once their next game comes out they have to rely on the good will of that as they strung everyone along with false expectations
I hope this is a true lesson for hackers around the world. Publishers will not give you what want at the end of the day and you will just end up ruining the fun for everyone and in time your “leak” will be remember as rumors anyway
We were and still aren’t promised a dlc. Yes there were leaks but they were empty with no content in those specific leaks about the supposed dlcs. Its never been official if we’re getting a dlc and there probably won’t be one coming
Did anyone notice that there’s this one snippet of gameplay when they revealed Spider-Man two is gonna be playable on the PlayStation five Pro that wasn’t part of any of the side missions or story missions? Or is it just me?
If dlc never existed, what was that option in that was accidentally part of that update earlier this year, that had to be patched out? Regardless of whether we get dlc or not, they absolutely had it planned. I think we are still getting it, just not until next year.

Honestly I'm 99% sure they won't make a DLC and that they're completely focusing on wolverine to get it set to release on 2025 but I feel like when people's expectations die down they'll make a DLC but if not they'll have to make spider-man 3 a game full of everything that spider-man 2 had left back on. I'll still hold on to hope because we still have the one year anniversary next month and the game awards in December. So hopefully, we'll see something before the year is over.

If there WAS a DLC, especially for one of the rumored ones like Carnage, he is WAY too big of a Spider-Man villain to be relegated to a DLC. Carnage needs more than that. Spider-Man 3 needs to expand on it. Add in Green Goblin and there might even be a chance for smth like Red Goblin in the game.
This could easily be a " be careful what you wish for " moment. So like they release the DLC but its insultingly short , and now the fans are even more disappointed with tha game.

No one's going to be excited to see literally all the same animations but with a 3 on top lol It's a joke that Peter's diving air tricks give you the same recycled animation over and over, whereas Miles has different varying dive animations. Who's ready for a new studio to take on Spider-Man? Because it's clear they have the "Beenox fatigue", back when Beenox got tired of making Spidey games.
I don't get why they wouldn't at least say... Something. Like, if they are going to release DLC, I get keeping it a secret until an event. But if there is LITERALLY nothing else that they want to show us... Then, they need to stop blue balling the community. Just come out and officially say, "Yeah, there isn't going to be any DLCs, sorry." Plus, hack or not. Wouldn't releasing the DLC show that the hacks did nothing negative to them? That it had no effect on Insomniac's overall productivity and work? If anything, they are losing money and showing the hackers that they succeeded at their goals, giving them incentive to do it again another time.

Idk...they'd have to be making the rumored Venom spinoff pretty big without dlc. There is a lot of loose threads...having carnage, chameleon, green goblin, doc ock, carnage and a few others all in one game would be a massive undertaking. It'd be a lot for one game...

Spider-Man 2 is likely not receiving DLC. They have both Venom and Wolverine to work on. Why "waste" time with SM2 at the moment, when more work is going to be done on other projects?

Im starting to lose hope in Wolverine bc they haven’t 6:31 even given a status update on it. Ffs this game was announced 3 years ago and still nothing? Either they’ve scrapped it quietly or they’re starting from scratch bc of the response the leaked game footage bc I remember a lot of ppl weren’t really thrilled with what they saw.
My problem is that I finished the game in 2 weeks where I usually take a few months to finish other games aside from the story the game is very dry in content compared to the first game
I honestly think they’re delaying the DLC because of the spider verse movie. The movie was supposed to come out earlier this year and I think they had it on track to release a bit after that movie so it would coincide together. Don’t blame insomniac. Blame Sony lol
They're just waiting for people to REALLY not have expectations, and then they'll finally announce Dlc. Same thing with Bloodborne Remaster, as long as a single human has expectations, it ain't happening, so I think we're getting close
I think we're definitely getting a dlc because when the ng+ update came out you could go into the dev menus and it showed the villan arch for the Beatle wich might mean that the Beatle will be in the dlc
If this is it for the game, I really hope lessons were learned at Insomniac. It's a good game, but it didn't get the same kinda love that made the first one great. Personally I think they were doing too much during Spiderman 2's production. Too many collaborations with different designers (not bashing those designers/artists, it's not their fault they're not experienced in superhero costume design), the workload of doing 2 big marvel games simultaneously not even mentioning the scrapped ones.

Antivenom should stay for 3, but have it so he switches to a normal suit half way thru the game, so that your still able to use symbiote abilites if you want
Bruh it’s been nearly a year since release it ain’t happening especially considering the first game released in September 2018 and the DLC was released by December of the same year it’s pretty evident that SM2 ain’t getting story DLC and that Insomniac have fully moved on to Wolverine
