​@@Stogie2112 Her character hits every beat of being a fanfic, poorly written character that defines a Mary Sue; the canon protagonists are all in love with her or instantly respect her. She has a close relationship with one of the most popular characters on the show (Q). The main characters are astonished and sit by the sideline as they watch her resolve the stories problems. Her character resolution is that she's actually a long last space-god (aka Q) and it's now time for her to join her people." I have no problem with women with power, there are a lot of real and fictional women that are great! This isn't one of them. There are also a lot of male fantasy inserts in Star Trek that are poorly written (aka Garry Stu's) and deserve just as much derision.

She is a pleasant, clever, fairly well adjusted woman and they do exist, lol. My problem with this episode is there is no real jeopardy. You know the TNG writers aren't going to actually have the guts to execute her. To make this episode memorable, the continuum needs to execute this woman. That being said, we do get a nice 2nd prize. The bit where Crusher gets turned into a dog was definitely a memorable cultural contribution. 🙃
