Ngl the stagger nerf alone ruined the gun, they lowered it just enough to where it can’t stun devastators, so now if you don’t perfectly hit the head of a rocket devastator (which is incredibly hard due to the head hitbox being so small and the scope being misaligned) it’ll insta kill you immediately after
They fixed the rocket devastators, apparently the rockets were doing more damage than intended so if you wear a fortified medium/heavy armour you can tank the rockets.
@@Leons060 one headshot rocket can be tanked, which is nice, but they still shoot rockets in volleys and spawn in groups, which still makes them the most irritating bot to fight against
Ngl rocket devastators ain’t that bad it is the heavy devastators that I despise. Because with rocket devastators you can take out the rockets before they fire and then they down easy
Personally im fine with the damage nerf since it's barely noticable and the stun nerf is a bit annoying since you can't stunlock devisators but they did fix the rocket devisators. The door/fence breaking gimmick was cool though ;-; Also I've heard the Jar 5 Dominator is the new slugger so I'd try that out.
as someone who's been using the slugger as mostly a DMR, the biggest hit was the damage reduction. been having to 2-shot squishy bots more often lately.
Weapon is gutted for me. Sadly not gonna ever use it again, its not as fun anymore for me. They can nerf every weapon into the ground and it will never get me to use the diligence counter sniper.
I feel like a better nerf would have been to just give it incredibly bad long range damage. Like let it staggerlock stuff in front of me but yeah it should be pretty ass at range.
Not a fan of the devs buffing a weapon with turbo stats and then completely bisecting another weapon. Like seriously, try using a scalpel instead of a hammer for once.
How do you slightly nerf a meta weapons (the breaker) which everyone was using but you nerf a well-rounded shotgun that is not meta it's the f****** ground so it's basically useless, doesn't make any sense to me literally they lowered the Max size by 3 on the breaker but the slugger they lower the damage the armour pen and the Stagger like what the F***.
They didn't lower the armour pen, you read that wrong. Just the stagger (Which only affects against bots really, bugs it feels the same), a bit of dmg and demolition force. Yeah you know need to use a grenade or something else to break doors... like everyone else. Also, the Slugger was the new Breaker before this patch. These kind of videos and people crying all over just proves it. It WAS a meta weapon. STILL, if it's really undertuned now, the devs will probably buff it up a little, just like they are doing with every other weapon, like the AMR or the Breaker Incendiary.
@@KenygarthI do agree it needed nerfed in some way, personally I don't really mind the the damage since I barely noticed it, as for the stun it was hella strong at stunning devistators but now that the rocket varients are fixed I don't mind it as much. If I we're to buff it I'd let it stun scout striders again if you hit them in the legs. But the door/fence gimmick was cool that should've stayed.
@@Kenygarth the issue is the developers said they nerfed the slugger because it was the best sniper in the game, yet instead of nerfing the ranged aspects of the gun they removed all of its utility so now it has no personality and it’s objectively worse than other one-tap weapons
@@Leons060 The stung was great for dealing with bugs. It stopped Brood commanders from rushing you or calling in breaches, it kept stalkers at range, and spewers could even be put in lock down or killed quickly. This really removes my favorite and best utility gun for dealing with bugs. As for bots the scorcher is way better for dealing with the many bot variants
@@Nosyyy If they did directly tune its "range" I garuntee you would still be here saying "Well now the only reason to use the slugger is to break crates, its basically useless. The dominator is better at range and does more damage"
Apparently losing 3 shells and getting a bit more recoil completely destroyed the breakers usability and "meta" status lol, now a little less damage and less stagger has done the same for the slugger apparently. People say they should have just made the gun worse at range but I garuntee if they did do that they would STILL complain they made the slugger useless.
@Harrizonio I'll be perfectly honest if they made it bad at range then I probably would complain as its the best sniper primary option in the game currently because the actual rifles aren't really good in comparison. If they buffed the rifles to be like the slugger with some downsides then I'd be fine.
