Omg I can’t wait to receive mine now! So beautiful! This deck has spoken to me for so long and i just couldn’t resist this time around, a definite investment but honestly so beautifully finished, so much love and artistry put into each! Ain't she a beaut!?!! 🤩 wowzers - I love it! I received mine a couple of weeks ago - I think cus I'm in England and they are in Ireland - but when I opened it I just wept as I looked through the cards. I've been using it for readings every few days and it's just exquisite! I would have loved gilded edges personally but I don't think Baba tend to do that anyway. The cold-foil is amazing. I am truly in love 🥰 and the backs are heavenly. ♥️

I pre-ordered this deck about a year ago, and I'm eagerly waiting for the tracking order, I've moved many times in the past year, but I did send them my updated address and they confirmed my new address. I have the third edition, which is a deeply loved deck since 2018. To the point, I wanted a back-up copy for a newer edition. I love all the new cards and diversity. The Emperor Card with red robe is from an older edition (I think gold or second edition) that Baba Studios brought back again in this edition. The guy in purple robe wasn't really screaming that emperor energy for me. I absolutely love the newer replacements in this edition (Queen of Wands, Page of Swords, Queen of Pentacles, Three of Pentacles) for diversity representation for The VRT.

Congratulations on your shiny toy 😁.. I don’t own any Baba studio deck but if I would, I think their Alice is still the best representation of that story .. I just don’t like photo manipulation much. This deck is gorgeous! The art is beautiful and I often forget that these are supposed to be romantic. I love many cards but then a lot also don’t call for me. I am yet to have my deck of fine art .. There are many gorgeous ones .. and to find the one is s hard quest. I just know I don’t want more than one too because that’s not my regular style ..

I would like to buy one Baba Studios deck someday just for the cold pressing 🤣 I kind of dislike all Baba Studios decks. Not for me and can't justify paying that much for any of their decks. This one was almost a deck I bought but didn't like it that much (and again... The price 🤣) so I went for the Revival Art Tarot 1st ed. instead (more cheaper, overall I like a lot of the cards depictions and so on...) Hope someday they will release something that it's right up to my alley 😁!

I am awaiting mine with bated breath!….& debating whether I should try to grab one of the remaining limited edition decks to have a bigger backup. I completely agree with you, the Baba books are some of the best in the tarot world. I find them ridiculously reasonable in price, especially as the decks are so expensive. I am curious, do you have the fantastic menagerie? It seems somewhat in keeping with your aesthetic. I am dying for the Alice reprint. Tarot of Prague is one of my top ten readers and mystical creatures is my heart. Great video❤️ Thank you

I do not have Fantastic Menagerie - though I did try another deck with the same artists work in it - and ended up not getting on with it. Thank goodness I learned that lesson on a less expensive deck tho! LOL

Your red Emperor is new, the Queen of Wands is new (I love her) Page of Swords (new) is amazing, tempts me right out of my no buy year (ugh...I can not). There is a change in the artwork of the 3/Pents...the Black man as a master is added, and the Queen of Pentacles is totally different. I'm sure Karen was trying to add some diversity as she got popped for low diversity points. I hate the third edition Q/Pents...so it's REALLY tempting to run over and buy this. I have to admit, it's the Page of Swords I am really attracted to, but I'll live. Also, the backs are so different...and pretty, but all her backs are pretty. I have two editions of Bohemian Gothic, but if she does a silver edition...that one's totally coming home with me. And of course, their new cat deck...is life.

This Queen of Pents is SO BEAUTIFUL. And agreed on the Page of Swords...... I mean... I will say that if you do break your no buy for this, I think it's justified given that I suspect this will be their final print of this deck (just a hunch, no actual intel lol) and - in general - they do sell out quickly. Sorry if unhelpful. lol. ALSO THANK YOU for sharing about the updated art in general!

Sorry to hear! the backs looked pretty symmetrical to me. If I concentrate I can kind of see the off centered... it's not enough to bother me and the collosal waste that a reprint would require would be a darn shame IMO. That said, I TOTALLY understand the desire for perfection for such a pricey deck and you're completely within your rights to be disappointed by that.... it really IS a pricey deck!

Oooh tough call. I will say - i suspect the Victorian Romantic will go out of print before Shimmering Veil will. If you think you might EVENTUALLY want both - your best bet is this one first, Shimmering Veil second. If you really truly only want one of them (ever), then think about which one you feel the MOST drawn to artistically! That's my vote anyway! Some cards in there are lovely - but over all this deck is not one for me (and my bank balances sighs with relief as I've just ordered Pagan Otherworlds and its companion book!) I see the King of Swords there less as 'defeated' but more in the process of looking out over a battle situation and weighing his options before he makes his tactical decisions. He's up in his castle on the hill and is surveying what's unfolding beneath him on the plain below. I don't know if that helps

Oddly enough I feel the major arcana don't really lend to romance readings, they feel supplementary where the minor arcana cards seem to. At least to me.

They are currently accepting pre-orders for a 2024 printing, limited to 1,000 decks. To be shipped in June. $98, still pricey but better than the $350 eBay offerings.
