Retail for homes is up 35% food cars fuel every thing is inflated. Concrete is way inflated also. I don't think your price is too high. A good foundation is the most important thing in building a home.

People need to understand that the two builds are completely different. It is not a competition. The builds are not comparible and should not be compared. May both Men enjoy what they are doing.

Great video! The house is coming along nicely. Don't worry about the comments regarding the concrete and the comparison from your brother, believe me your concrete is going to last a whole lot longer than his wood. You are doing everything just like it should be done. Say hello to Mom, Dad & Matt, and extra pat's on the head to the pups and goats.

One thing not mentioned, your concrete price included labor. You and your job were smart chosing to have professionals do the concrete work. As George said, the concrete will never rot or have to be replaced. Love watching both you and Jason. You both are so talented. I am so excited watching you and your Dad build. Your home is going to be so well built. Always going to get weird comments. That is just the world we live in today.

I like seeing the actual framing. It's amazing how beefy you need to build structures because of hurricanes.

Really well constructed project with rebar and your 2 X 6 you are using on walls. This will also permit use of thicker insulation in walls. Happy for you!!

One thing for sure when this build is done you won't be making payments on it for years. The shed to house was basically a shell, so money still had to be put into it. Plus all the interest your saving. Win Win on this build. ❤

Jared and Jason live in different climate areas and they are doing different types of construction. Jared is needing to build stronger d/t hurricanes and Jason building stronger d/t tornados. I think it's really impressive for two men who claim that they don't know much, to accomplish what you have on this built so far plus what you guys did on the shed to house. I think you're doing great on the build. Concrete work done, correct is expensive. As long as you're happy with what you paid, then that's all that matters.

You got a great deal I'm a contractor 24" beams, rough plumbing, 2 porches that's a great deal. Plus it's permanent hold your head up high. Working with your pop even better looking good Jared.
