Hi Darcy, The quilts hanging behind you made my heart happy. I usually spend most of my knitting time making socks all year long. The print you used on the cute bag reminds me of a table cloth my Grandad had on her kitchen table. Thank you for sharing 🧶🧶🧶

What a wonderful visit. I love talking camping in the summer and this year my must knit are shorty socks. Wool is so kind to my feet and keeps them dry even in the heat. Love all your sharing and it always inspires me. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤😊

Ever since I learned to knit socks they have been my favorite summer knit. I try to make enough socks every summer to refill my sock box. Then I donate last years socks to a Charity Shop near me.

My girls always picked me dandelions…such good memories! I like to knit socks and small shawls during the summer.

Love your hat! "Dandelion Magic" is one of our favorites! My grandson always picks this one first to read. My daughter also harvests dandelions to dry for tea. SO many benefits to dandelions including magical bouquets! Happy Birthday Darcy!

Happy Birthday! I don’t have a specific project I like to knit in the summer but I love to sit on the front porch or the deck and knit and watch knitting podcasts.

Happy Birthday! Another wonderful episode. I knit every day no matter the season. During the summer I knit mostly smaller projects like socks and Mother Bears or whatever you need test knitted!

I am enjoying knitting on a pair of shorties. Whenever I have a textured sock, I usually add the rows to the heel flap as you suggested. (Or if it’s a really thin fingering weight yarn.) I am close to finishing my pair, so I’ll be adding them to the cabin! The project bag you made is so pretty and reminds me of vintage fabric. Take care my friend!!❤☀️❤

Darcy, I am so happy you shared about children and dandelions, I truly have a new appreciation for the little yellow flower and it's fun to know the inspiration behind a pattern😊 I love gardening and have been spending lots of time outside planting pots, baskets, rail boxes and vegetables, and of course weeding! The question is, will I pull the dandelions? I am looking forward to knitting a few pair of socks, shorties probably, longer ones maybe. I love the shorties you are working on, the colors are so bright and cheerful just like your front porch!

I’m working on a pair right now and I was wishing the back came up just a bit higher. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! And that pattern looks great! I love that rainbow yarn from Melissa….she is doing a great job! I just finished wildflower tee #5. Hoping to get the final 2 done this summer, along with some socks thrown in there for good measure. I just found your podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love having a vegetable garden and picking ripe tomatoes warm from the sun and then canning them for that taste of summer during the winter. I don’t have a favourite to knit in the summer but knit on whatever I am working on or whatever catches my eye.

Hi Darcy! I first 'met' you thru your Slip Crazy Cowl pattern! We chatted a bit on Ravelry and I've recently started watching your podcast. Thx for keeping me company while I knit! I love your new Dandelion pattern too... would make a cute shawl too... and totally agree about loving dandelion bouquets from children! ❤❤ I've been making cowls for my DILs this year, and currently finished a scarf shawl for me... with a snack scarf and a wrap on my needles. We are enjoying sure camping, fishing, and traveling this summer... hubby is retired but I still work full time. Thx for your chats! 😊

I’m making all shortie socks for Summer Sock Camp this summer.

Darcy those socks are very pretty. There's pattern on Ravelry called Heel tab for short socks by Amanda Steck. It's a free pattern and the tab stops shorties falling down the back of your heel. I too love dandelions. The young leaves are great in salads and are super good for your digestion.
