lots of rambling but I got to the point in the end. Thanks to all of your for being the reason I get to do things like this. I'm so freaking lucky to have y'all.
This is Rosa's uncle...we just heard from her today after she received a package from us....fyi: she's doing fine. She likes the "quiet time" for now, don't worry.
It sounds like you lost track of how Wise , charming, knowledgeable, beautiful, talented and ambitious you are . Your videos are ALWAYS AMAZING, never boring.
Totally makes sense. You like to challenge yourself. That's where growth happens! 🙌 If there's anyone who can do this it's YOU. Your Outdoor survival skills are top-notch.
ROSA! You are so well spoken - how you talked for 10 minutes straight without messing up and going on a completely unrelated tangent is beyond me. I’m so proud of you and excited for you! I can’t wait to see this new journey of yours 🥰
Just started watching your channel this year and loved it I'm 60 and loved what you do but I'd be too scared ( watch too much crime shit 😮 ) so ya take care and ill look forward to watching your adventures stay safe from Tipperary Ireland x
This will probably be the coolest journey of your life so far. Good luck. Don't be afraid to tap out if you burn out. It will still be awesome regardless.
Good luck Rosa make sure to get PCT long distance permit and California fire permit to use camp stove. Be careful watch your water supply points and know how to use crampons and ice axe thru the mountain passes which will be snowed in late this season. Practice self arrest with ice axe to stop from sliding out of control.
@@tanstaafl1960She also hasn’t done this before and anyone who’s been around the block a bit understands that “you don’t know what you don’t know” and smart people listen to all the advice they can from experienced people. When you start saying “I’m sure she’s researched and she’s smart”… those are the people who get in trouble. Smart people love advice.
Hi from Scotland, Rosa 👋. My first comment here. I found your channel a few months ago and promptly gobbled up all of your videos and was then left desperate for more! Among other things, I love the simplicity, slow pace, wonderful scenery, and your apparent authenticity. They bring me moments of peace. I've found others through your channel, not least Madilynn. You two are by far my favourite folks to watch. Thanks for sharing. I wish you the challenges you crave (!) and much fun and fulfilment on the PC Trail. "I've got people that will take him on walks" 😁 Too cute.
@lifeinmyelement It's wonderful that you have such a lovely friendship. I'm not surprised that you're excited ☺️. I'm sure that the trip will be an incredible experience. Take care.
Haven't watched your channel since sometime last year. I like that you did this and I think I shall prepair for doing the same by spring of '25. I'm wayyy overdue for such a trip.
The hike sounds like an amazing challenge and right up your alley. I would love to see any video of you on the trail! Good luck, you're inspiring! Btw, your ability to get excited by the possibility of failure is an incredibly healthy outlook many of us wish we had.
Over the past 10 years I have followed, here and there, over 100 van lifers, car lifers and sail boaters. For the past few months when I stumbled upon you, you have been my favorite. I have watched all your videos. I don't believe I have left a comment before. I love your videos. Watching you all is what made me buy a van, sell my house and hit the road 3 years ago this month. I love it. Like you I also love posting videos of my travels. All the best my youtube friend. Best of luck on the trail.
I just stumbled onto your channel today, and absolutely love your videos! Its so inspiring to see a young woman thriving in a life I'd really only seen men live before. You are so confident and grounded. I'm so excited for you to get to do the Pacific Trail! It will be an amazing experience. Even if you don't fully complete it, its not failing because you're LIVING YOUR LIFE in a way that is so authentic to you! Keep kicking ass and being you
I think you're amazing. When I was your age I wanted to be a photographer/journalist and travel with GNR, Cinderella, and film them sort of like William in Almost Famous. Instead I became a court reporter and played it safe. What can I say except it was the 80s and times were good and it was easy and I was not an Adventurist. Whatever you do we will be more than happy to tag along bc you are wonderful! Stay safe and healthy and all will be very well with you! God bless❤
I'm with you all the way - life is change and life itself is a challenge - I am excited for you - Your adventurous spirit brought me to your channel and this will keep me with you all the way. Rosa your YT community is cheering you on, every step of the way. Give Elrod a good Spa treatment at a reputable mechanic, he deserves it as your faithful partner. Good Luck - Stay Safe - and thank you for bringing us along. ✌👍👣
Dear Rosa, today I saw all of your videos - thank you for the insights into your wonderful and exciting life! I admire your courage and have learned a lot from you! Now I wish you a wonderful hike and I look forward to seeing something from you again soon. All love! 💕
Hi Rosa! I think what you’re feeling is called “Being young and adventurous”!! I am Really proud of you. I am a Dad of 2 girls a bit older than you,but doing things that you could possibly fail at is so Awesome. I’m proud that you have the guts to do it! Any type of video or contact we get from you we will Love I’m sure. Be safe,be well, and have a great challenging time! (Also:Mosquito Net!) see you soon! Mr.D 😃👍🦅🥾
Yes it is. Even though many say the PCT is less physical than the AT and a lot less physical than the CDT. I would imagine you still need rest days or days with very limited hiking. I'm been on some parts of the AT as I live close to it. The CDT I wouldn't mind seeing some of these areas but the elevation is far too brutal. I wonder who she's going to hike it with. Solo hiking any of these trails is beyond dangerous even for the best in the world.
As person who had commute for YEARS in train yes it is. And I had commute in the evening at 11pm with the last train, I had commute in the most scarry place too... yes, it is. I had commute of a day of hard work and everything. Yes, it is. My suggestion is avoid this kind of travels, you won't be relax and you won't being able to feel the travel... is useless doing too much. @@josephdover198
@@lisaordell2467 Oh yeah a petite vegetarian female can obviously just hike 20 miles a day for 5 months straight. No problem. No rest days needed. You do realize that you have to pack light and resupply your food source often, right? Hunting isn't an option.
My name is Andrew. I saw a video of you on Tiny Home Tours and this video on your channel. I will say you are brave and courageous! If you're still doing that very long hike that amazing! Stay safe and much Love from Texas💥🫡
Awesome Rosa 👍👍 I support you 100 % I only wish there was more I could do to support you. For the time being I will support you with my words and by viewing your content. I've been subscribed for about six months but find you channel and content very inspirational 😊 I have retired not even two weeks yet and am inspired by people like yourself 🙏 Happy Travels Rosa❤❤
@@lifeinmyelement Fair enough young lady 👍👍 As I said I am recently retired and because I will have more time on my hands. that is one activity I have in mind and you are inspiring me to do so 👍👍 For your plans I wish you all the best, keep on doing what you are doing and whatever makes you happy because you only have one life 🙏 I'll be here to show my support in any way I can ❤❤❤
Woshing you all the best and cheers to new adventures and experience. I totally fell in love with your channel and Elrond of course. I think i needed yo hear this message about challenges and getting put of my comfort zone. Thanks Rosa and cant wait to see your new journey!
That sounds amazing and I really understand how it becomes "normal" and less exciting after living in a motorhome for 4 years, now I've managed to get my own home and settle I've plans to hopefully now get back on the road and or do a similar thing backpacking/cycling Europe! I feel too comfortable. Look forwards to the new series of videos
I actually started watching youtube for the through hike videos. I've always wished I could do it myself. Now im not physically capable of it. Enjoy life while you are young and free! Good luck!
oh my gosh! It's my dream to do the PCT and you're one of my fav youtubers. You're going to crush it and i'm so excited to follow your journey! don't worry about the video quality, we watch for your personality, perspective and adventures. Yay!
Please keep recording your adventures for us to join in along with you! Your channel has always been great bc of your great personality/ humility / absolute sweetness about you. So don’t quit taking us with you! ❤😊. You are so well spoken that I wouldn’t be surprised if you were on TV or in the movies someday.
Wow, that's a serious trail hike, and it sounds very interesting. You can do it, I'm with you all the way, change is good and this will be a good challenge for you.
Omg! I feel so much better! I thought that you were pregnant. You'll have an amazing adventure and will document it perfectly. And you'll get super fit and grow the channel.
Awesome! I’ve been waiting for this announcement since your friend let it slip under one of my comments! Totally believe in you after that 40 mile day hike you did. Good luck and be safe on the trail
Thank you for the update, Rosa. It would be great if you can post some hiking experiences. please take care and stay safe. Congratulations and good wishes to you on your next endeavors!
I wish you good luck, you are very motivated and I know you can do this. I understand exactly what you are saying. I'm going to be 56 soon and yes life can be boring at times I think that's why I started tent camping last year. You know, shake things up a little bit and get out of my normal life. My husband doesn't camp so I go alone and I really like my solitude when I'm out in the woods. I can't wait to see some of your adventures on the trail and what and how you are cooking your foods.
Great to here Rosa I felt like that 11 months ago that I needed a change so I went off the road I'm now a general manager of a restaurant I have a really nice 2 bedroom apartment and I bought a second car. My life is really good now have a great job I love. I hope you have a blast doing you hike and you get what you want out of it. Best wishes
Hi from Essex, Rosa! Good for you, and I hope you continue to enjoy life's journey. I did part of the PCT about 20 years ago when I lived in Portland, I just bet you will love it. I look forward to hearing your impressions, and all the best from me "Marmite". 😊
Geez you had me worried, sitting on my sofa digesting every word....and a huge sigh of relief when you said you're TAKING US ALONG :) After that I was all smiles. THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT :)
Live your best life. You have amazing instinct. Hiking the Pacific trail will be a huge feat. I’m confident that you’ll succeed at everything you attempt. As always, stay safe and be well. I hope you’ll keep us posted whenever you can. I look forward to your adventures. Much love ❤❤❤
Rosa, this is an amazing choice you're making, what an incredible challenge! I do hope you're able to make some RU-vid posts along the trail, I really want to hear about how you're doing.
Nice that you always challenge yourself! Lovit it, and take your own direction in life! I am also changing from independent catering to mobile homelife..🎉
I love Renee and Tim! I’ve also watched all of homemade wanderlust thru hike content. I’m absolutely stoked that you’re taking us along for the ride as you do this! I’ll definitely be watching so SO excited to see your uploads. I would love to see some videos on the process of packing, and food prep. Go luck Rosa! I wish you the best of luck and be waiting on the videos. I watched Kelly Hayes hikes channel and she did the same thing you are about to do. She does a lot of everything.. So I would definitely love to watch your hiking videos. Stay safe ,strong and hydrated.. You got this.. God Bless.
That’s Awesome. Wish u the BEST on your journey. I know exactly how you feel about being so comfortable. I recently had enough of my one job, burnt out and other stuff built up throughout the years. Have a Great Time on your hike. Look forward to see your adventures. Take care. 👍👍
It’ll be great to experience the trail though your eyes! Good luck to you~ Please finish the trail~so you have that experience to talk about the rest of your life 🤙🏻
I'll be praying for you, your health and safety. ❤ I know you will kick butt on the 5 month hike my friend. ❤❤ you should start writing a book about your travels since 2017
Keep inspiring people Rosa. You really are an inspiration. And when you are older you will cherish the life that you are living now. Stay safe. Incidentally, I have niece who is just a little younger than you. And she's had some social problems that affected her. I've been showing her your videos, and they have helped a lot. She's realizing that she is much more capable than she thought. That's what I'm talking about. Thank you.
She has a live that she did 2 months ago on here. Maybe watch that and see if she mentions anything about uploading on there? I just found this channel, I haven’t even subscribed yet: I do hope she’s okay though.
That's awesome !! I'm actually preparing for moving into my honda element so I understand your need for some change and excitement ! Will join you along the ride big love ❤
AWESOME!!!! You go girl!!!! So proud of you. At the start of this video I thought you were going to say you were leaving RU-vid! So relieved that it wasn't. Look forward to seeing you kick arse! xo
The PCT is a big challenge. I know you can do it. You’re young and tough. Please be careful and stay in touch with family and friends all along the way. Carry on and Enjoy! I look forward to a few of your videos. 😎
Omg Rosa! I literally screamed YES! when you announced you'll be hiking the PCT! Then I had tears come to my eyes. My dog was concerned. 😂 This is going to be amazing. I would watch you every step of the way! ❤️ But I'll settle for weekly updates. The more the merrier though! I'm so stoked for this. Can't wait! ❤️
You go girl! You were a big inspiration for me to hit the road and that I could do it from my crv. I'm so excited to see your next adventure. The pct is definitely a curiosity to me. ❤
Thanks for sharing!! Not only will this expand your own horizons and capabilities, but it will allow you share other parts of your life's journey with us and BONUS!! There will be more nature, which is really why I subscribe to channels like yours. Best of luck and looking forward to seeing you on the trail!!
As a relative newcomer to your channel, I have the luxury of watching your back catalogue of videos. When this video came up I though, oh no, Rosa's stopping. My timing I suppose. I enjoy your videos. A young , beautiful lady with the gusto, drive and adventurism in a wonderful package of car and person all in one channel. I wish more people were as brave and with as much drive to keep pushing themselves. Thank you for all you do, share with us all.
BRILLIANT! 🎉 How exciting! All the emotions, right? My mind is racing with thoughts of all the adventures you will experience. For what it's worth, you have my support! Love, light, and laughter on your journey sweet girl. ❤
i’m so excited for this path!!!! we love you rosa and anything you want to do or accomplish is going to be amazing and well supported !!! thank you for the exciting update; you inspire me everyday to try to spice my life up and take more lead. i appreciate how much your values and spontaneity has incorporated into my life. 🫂thank you always soul sister 🌀
I wish you the best in your endeavor. That is a challenge. It was a challenge for us to hike 7 miles to our campsite and you are talking about 2500+ more. I hope that you do it!!! Go Rosa!!!
One of my favorite quotes is from Jordan Peterson. He said "Do something difficult. If there is nothing in your life right now that is confusing, challenging, or just beyond the limits of your control, then you aren’t moving forwards or growing. You’re falling backwards. Stand still and you will be flattened by chaos."
