As a middle age guy with a family who loves to fish, LFG is the most relatable Googan for me. He was more mature though had fun and always put his family first. Even with the health ordeal…the wifey, the kids, always came first. You’ll be back in a bigger & better place you’ll call.. home. Much respect!!

When you said you're leaving the treehouse, i got misty-eyed. I remember when you first moved in there and all the work and renovations. Going through my divorce, you guys were that comfort, even if it's just watching you guys adventure and some awesome fishing to boot. Me and my kids are kind of in the same situation though, when you outgrow and don't have the time to fix everything, it's time to move forward. I lost touch with this channel a few years back when Googan got all corporate, and I kind of lost my love for fishing. Emmy was just a baby. Didn't even have little man. Crazy to find this channel again and see how grown up she's gotten, and now another fresh face in little man. Really cool to see. Feels like family you have but don't see all the time, and then you see them again and are amazed at the changes.

A bit late to the game, but LFG was actually the first fishing RU-vidr I saw, and I remember watching his videos, as well as got into the rest of the googan squads vids, during a difficult time in my life, before they even moved into the treehouse. Very thankful I stumbled across this channel!

Man its crazy seeing this and how relatable this is to my wife and I life. We have 3 littles 5/2/1. We moved out to a house similar next to a state forest and have a homestead. We have out grew everything already in our 5th year and man has this house been work......Been watching you for years and years. But this channel got super relatable when I think our families had kids about the same time. My wife and I have said the same exact thing you said in the beginning though. Beginning of this year we felt a change happening and we aren't sure what. But with this past weekend we found out what it was and ready to take that jump. You guys got it! Better to be sad it happened then have no emotion at all. Means you guys used your time and property to its fullest.

It's definitely a changing of the season! This video made me think back to just how long I've been watching your channel. I can't believe it's been over 7 years. I remember those old videos of when you were still living in BCS (I think?), Winston was still around, before the tumor, all that stuff. Relatively new sub here, definitely late to the journey but I am here now. I came for a fishing video but found soooo much more. Had to go back and watch the journey on both LFG and lake life family channels, from surgery and follow up appointments to sticking the knife in your leg and many outdoor adventures, even read lots of comments to see how others were relating to you and the life you are sharing with us. I know you’ve heard it before from many viewers and fans,but you truly do have the best channel on RU-vid! Always real and share the tough trials of life as well as the priceless rewards of family and the outdoors. You have given many inspiration and strength to make it through their own struggles. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I can only hope that I am navigating life as gracefully!

Come to Southwest Missouri. I know you’re Texas at heart, as am I, but I moved to SW MO last year and absolutely love it. The Ozarks are a beautiful place. There’s 9 different lakes within ear shot. I have heard that specifically the town of Ozark, MO has the best school district in the area. Going from salt to fresh water was a major change for me and I have no regrets. Since i started following LFG i have been more motivated to go out and fish. I been learning so much from you by carefully watching all the techniques and tip and tricks you provide in your content and it actually made me way better at fishing in South Africa which is not easy sometimes . So i just wanted to say thank you. Can't wait to see the next chapter i just know its gonna be AWESOME !

We currently have an Ayam Cemani rooster that is about 2.5 years old but we just clipped him about a centimeter back with some tin snips. Supposedly when their spurs get long they basically impale themselves when they go to roost at night.

Change is good. I personally went deeper into the woods and a bigger piece. Enough that I don't need to touch the majority of it monthly. I know all of my does and most of the bucks on sight. No lake but I have a large southeastern reservoir 3 miles away to wet a line. Had to move 600 miles to get the right spot but happy I did.
