I have had anxiety and depression since 1997. I was at rock bottom yesterday and I found this channel and this sermon came into my inbox this morning.

Brother, your vulnerability and transparency is so brave. Thank you for allowing yourself to say what you’ve struggled with. There are so many of us pastors that deal with junk yet never deal with it but allow it to take over. God bless ya!

I was at the 11am this morning and was glad I went. My sisters step son took his own life last week...what a waste of promise and potential..we really need to reach people who are suffering in silence all around us. I know God is going to bless this series and I am so proud of you for telling your story and getting the dialog started, Pastor Shawn. I live an hour away and have been looking for a church closer to home but just decided 2 weeks ago that I am coming every week...God is moving at RRC and I want to be a part of the action!!

Thank you for talking about this. The symptoms you've described are exactly what I've experienced. And you're right, you feel so much shame because you're "supposed to be strong." I'm so glad your church is addressing this head on. God bless you all!

From past past hurts

I first went Red Rocks church while visiting in Denver CO, I’ve connected so much with all of people here , the pastors are amazing my anxiety is out of control so many days an nights watching on weekends live an rewatching sermons help so much, my 27 year old sister has battled stage 2 breast cancer now metastasis to brain lung . My prayers to the highest power for healing she has her whole life ahead of her🙏🏻🙏🏻please pray for @Desserrae, these sermons are the only thing that bring my thoughts back under control .. Thank you for your word it came through my scrolling an for a few weeks I have felt like my family would be better off. I've dealt with Grief an it's been almost 2 years since it happened but it still feels so new and raw. People say get up and move on but no one has helped guide me through good steps to get through it all. Or had a steady support that I felt was real. My heart hurts an I feel alone an I can't be around people for too long. I found my fiancé rotting in an abandoned house God took the vision of face and body out of my mind because it was truly torturous trying to close my eyes after that but I've been healed from that now it's my heart and my soul feels so empty at times. I know I have a bigger purpose but I can't break through the stronghold that is trying to take me out. Please please please PRAY for me to be that light God put me here to be with a miraculous miracle of boldness, courage, faith and that peace that surpasses all understand. That I am able to work in authority to cast out the evil in Jesus name every time he tried to put doubt in my mind and heart. Amen thank you and God bless you guys an thank you for sharing your story ❤

I've been struggling with anxiety and depression for so many years to where I felt like I didn't know what happiness was anymore, but God listens and acts. "though he may stumble, he will not fall. for the Lord upholds him with his hand." Psalm 37:24

This is going to be an answer to prayer. I was just asking God why do I continue to deal with my anxiety and fears. I’m totally broken!!!

A pastor at my church recommended me to watch this video. It really resonated with me. I've been struggling. It's not easy. Sometimes when I'm having anxiety it feels as though i'm stuck in my head and i'm not able to tell anyone about it because I don't think anyone understands. Thank you for speaking on this and making it known that i'm not alone in my struggle.

I come from a different perspective. I’ve suffered/deeply agonised with depression and anxiety for 7 years. The thing with me is I agonise because I’ve stood on the word of God for those 7 years, believing, expecting, standing in faith through the most horrific torment, trauma, horror, terror, being honest blind whereas I’m an extrovert, always out, volunteering, teaching the word, having been called in by God in January 1997 to memorise passages and passages of scriptures as prayers for 40+ people, therefore, I know the Word of God intimately and hence why I used it to be free. The thing is no matter how much I spoke scriptures, worshipped, believed, expected, etc I’m still not free. Everything I use to do and everyone who knows me are aghast, I’m unable to be out, clean, drive, and so much more. I’m an Author, Poet, Writer. I’ve shut down my website 4 years ago. I stopped filming on my RU-vid channel 4 years ago. I stopped teaching the Bible on Lives a year or so ago. I sit in a chair, rocking back and forth from chest pains and unable to breathe, it’s a very long story. Watching Christian sermons, testimonies etc daily. IM SO OVER DOING THAT. I’m an extrovert I can’t bear sitting in a chair. I’ve always been a in nature person, working out and fasting with no food 3 days a week and still fasting without food messaging everyone to pray and like you always saying - I’m sorry. Forgive me Lord, etc. watching people live life. I love life and GETTING SO ANGRY because I’m not living. Ive had enough. Day and night pressing through. I can’t share all the meds, all the counselling that caused trauma. You see Ive always known I don’t have to live this way knowing the word and using it and yet NOTHING CHANGES!!! Do you know what that does to a person? Wailing to God asking Him why He hasn’t performed His Word. Nothing makes sense. 3 churches praying for me, many intecessors praying for me and I’m still in this chair. Therefore, what you’re sharing I’ve done e for 7 years and I still believe God can come through but IM FED UP. I’m sick of being angry, this is not who I am. Therefore this is why I agonise. I know God has called me to ministry as prophesied after Bible College 32 years ago being prophesied by 2 prophets. Teaching, healing and deliverance is the ministries, yet, I’m still in it having for 7 years reciting the word, worshipping, praying, believing etc. I’ve had enough. Every night I expect God to come. Every morning He hasn’t. So tell me, Ive done all you’re encouraging to do and God hasn’t responded yet. I live in Melbourne, Australia.

7 months ago I had to ask my ex's best friend to come take the guns out of my house as well. The shame and guilt I felt from that haunted me for months. Now I realize that was the best possible thing I could have ever done in that moment. Thank you for sharing your testimony and spreading God's love and hope. ❤

I haven't cried so much in a long time. I struggle almost every waking hour with anxiety and fears of panic. I have been adding additional phobias, but you know, it's so stupid and foolish. Now I have this that God has used through you, to connect with me. I have heard messages on anxiety, but I 100% identify with the many things you described, for over 20 years too. I'm am hopeful that listening to these sermons will help me begin to feel hopeful, joyful, and finally have a much sounder mind through Jesus.

I literally was crying out to God last night that I didn’t want to do this anymore. I listened to a snip of this message on tik tok and literally just hopped on youtube and tried to find what the pastor was wearing in the tik tok video to hear the whole thing. It was really encouraging for me! I am so glad to see vulnerability in the church and in pastors and be reminded that the great men in the bible suffered to. No one is too Holy to suffer. Please pray for the difficult path God has me on right now. I want to get off but I know I cant. My pain has a purpose.

Trust in the lord with all thine.heart and lean not to thine own understanding, in All your ways walk with him and he WILL direct your path. The time is NOW! If your still alive, that means that you still have a plan a God has a purpose for you…… Seek forgiveness and pray and allow him to dwell in your heart. The Holy Spirit WORK. Look at the world around us. Now look at the Bible. They have been trying for centuries to prove ANYTHING wrong to no avail. Now read revaluations kjv And please repeat this pass along the word of God while we have the freedom to still do so… will not be long look up!!!!!
