Love your work and enthusiasm Liz! Q for you... if you could give "past you (circa 2011)" some advice about electronics and microcontrollers, what would it be?

thanks Seon! i think i would tell myself to try some simpler projects rather than trying to dive right into a giant midi controller with the explanation that even though they aren't the goal they would help me to learn the concepts. i'd also leave a mysterious post-it note of resources that i know about now that were available back then that i somehow never stumbled upon

I believe that every project has its own "Duration of Creation" And in that time the project's DNA collates as we manipulate components and code It takes longer to bake a cake than to fry an egg ... And the value or quality of the products are a direct result of how much time we put into them

I love this project and so well managed with a fantastic description. 😎 They could use smart people like you at NASA. 👧 Thank you. One thing I have found out about making modern circuit boards, even if they don't work they are really cool desk artwork.

Why mono? Is it not even worth trying stereo or is most of the eurorack stuff mono? I’ve never used eurorack. I guess gated stereo doesn’t make as much sense but it’s not completely outside the realm of music possibility. I have actually split a gated signal to fade left to right channel but that was with a VST. The hardware stuff you do is much harder to pull off and requires real knowledge. Congrats on modularizing your breadboarding to PCB! Fingers crossed!

eurorack uses mono because it is transmitting control voltage (CV), not audio, across the system
