Glad to see that you finally touched on creek/river fishing. I live in SW Ohio and wade fish strictly rivers and creeks in my area. I have translated some of the information in your various videos over to those moving bodies of water that I fish. Feel free to have a few more videos that tap into this rarely covered type of fishing outside of the "watch me catch fish" type videos that are available.
Dude what's w these youtubers(not throwing shade by any means) only ever talking about lakes. River ways are way more prominent and accessible. Wish they'd throw love to both not just lakes.
@@kevingonzo70 I'm with you! I've always been a small river and creek fisherman. Heck, you don't even no stinkin boat. I just got done scouting the N Branch of the Potomac River. Looks very floatable in a kayak. Also the water temperature is sooo much lower than the surrounding waterways because it is comes out of two dams not far above where I was looking. Gonna hit it real soon!
@wciii3591 hell yeah! That sounds awesome have heard a lot of good about the Potomac. I just bought a feel free lure kayak, taken it out on small lakes a few times to build some confidence with the intent of getting in some current on creeks and rivers! Cant wait to get some smallies out there. You should have no issue getting some on the Potomac. Tight lines, happy fishin!
Wow, you are the first person I’ve ever heard mention Philpot Lake on RU-vid I was just fishing it five minutes ago. It’s my home lake I live literally right beside it
It ended up being a really fun lake...found a lot of fish super deep near the main channel. Drop shots..I am sure things have changed since then but absolutely loved it when I was there
Nope, to be honest with you things haven’t changed much. The bass They’re still really deep it’s really Clearwater and they are still on the drop off and legends I’m working on a drop shot. It’s not my strong suit by no means lol bot it is really tough right now all the fishing people and pleasure voters and on top of it all they have pulled water level down about 10 to 15 feet from normal pool. I’ve been really struggling this year with that lake anywhere else I go though either just fine or better than average. I guess you would say, but Philpot is being the thorn in my side come on back and fish it again I’d love to see a late break on Philpot
Where in big Darby were you talking about? I used to live just east of west Jeff. River bout 3/8 mile walk behind where I lived. I’ve waded it from US 40 bridge to almost I70, all up n down Georgesville where lil Darby comes in, from Harrisburg right below orient all the way back to trapper John’s. Just flat drill smallies of all sizes. My pb is a lil over 5 down to itty bitty ones on rebel teeny craws. I’m at Indian lake now so haven’t been down there for quite a few years, being an hour away.
