I really do believe that if MBTS ever lost his voice, I doubt if he would be able to function? Good seeing NYA there also, as always you guys do a great job and sure are a hoot. Love the channel, thank you for bringing us along again.
It's awesome to see camaraderie . It's awesome . That's why I scribe to the Chanel . People don't get to see camaraderie among friends anymore . Work can be fun too . Yes I'm an old fart .
Would like to see the re-route of the small stream. Glad you are going above and beyond. Once a slide like this starts, it is hard to stop. Looking good
First of all, thx for the reply. I always enjoy your videos. However, other than you pointing into the woods and stating it shouldn’t be to hard to reroute, I didn’t see any video of the finished stream. Have a great day and keep these great videos coming.
That concrete block is excellent for this kind of application. When this job is done, it should hopefully protect that house from any danger for many, many years to come. I think Matt is really interested in how it turns out, too. It's an interesting/captivating project. I'm wondering how you guys are going to deal with the drainage issue there also. Can't wait for the next one!
You're the first person to mention it. Hydrostatic pressure is a real issue here. There needs to be some drainage for that wall. it may be sliding in the first place due to water movement through the soil.
I’m gonna have to give it to Case that DL550 is a BEAST. The other guys have their work cut out for them in order to catch up to that piece of equipment.
The thing about technology. It’s very easy to catch up but much harder to get ahead. Just look at Hyundai’s automotive development and think back to how bad the Hyundai Pony was (if you know about it) and realize how far behind Hyundai was compared to most other car brands and look where they are today. They closed a 20+ year gap in 10 years.
@@P-J-W-777its not a skid steer tho. Its a cross over. So its apples to oranges. Expecially if you compare 18.5k 550 to a 299 or 333. If you took either of those and put them against the case 620 it would be a way closer match
There are other excavator channels out there that do excellent work, but you provide a top level product, interation with your crew, good explanation of the steps of the project, and viewers get the feeling that we are old friends just helping out from our comfortabe chairs, sipping coffee. I appreciate that you sacrifice valuable working time to produce these videos for all of us to enjoy, thanks to all of you. DP, MBTS, NYA. JERRY, and anyone that I forgot to mention.
That pile of concrete blocks was all I could focus on while Matt was quoting this job. I was like "Concrete blocks? In the middle of the woods? How long have THEY been there?". Good to see some were salvaged, and also good to see they were at least repurposed and weren't a complete waste.
Wow DP, that Minotaur is one amazing machine! It can do so many different applications that I can see you keep it in your fleet!! Awesome job so far on the wall, what an intriguing wall!! Great to see Matt too!!!
Nice job as usual guys. Hard part about surveying a job for estimates is you don't know what you will get into once you break ground. Some you win out on, others are more of a challenge. Thanks for sharing.
LD18 would have all ready contracted an equipment painter and had the counterweight repainted while setting blocks! MBTH is looking more like an equipment operator ever video, he keeps hanging out with DP he’ll be twisting hooks off block hangers in no time. That rock shelf was flat as a pool table ..you can sure see why the water chose that path. Big time props to the neighbors for letting a bulk of this project happen on their property, most people aren’t so understanding and helpful.
Glad to see Matt there lovely fella wish he could work with you both some more the three of you working together is just the best time ever you all are just so good at your jobs love it cheers Jill Australia 🇦🇺🐨
Several years ago I was working in South Haven Michigan. While I was there they were replacing a retaining wall with a product called Ready Rock. Each block was 2400 pounds. It was mesmerizing. I think they had 18 x 46 face and 40 inch depth. Not at all needed for this job but it's why I have to watch.
Nice job. Mike, something really stood out to me today. You have the knowledge and experience in moving dirt and assessing the situation. Yet you honestly solicit opinions from your coworkers (employees) and listen to them. That is an awesome quality in a coworker and phenomenal in a boss. Plus your statement at the end, "The rest of my lifetime that house will stay on top of that hill" is the attitude and philosophy every contractor should have. Thanks for sharing it and living it.
That is going to look really good in about three years. Once it starts naturalizing. What a great neighbor to allow access to the property, knowing that it will not be the same afterwards. Cutting a new channel for the creek will benifit both landowners. Great job. Can't wait to see the finished job. n
I look forward to all your videos..On top of all of your great topics I really Like that you haven’t crammed your site with ads from sponsors.. lately I have unsubscribed from several sites for this reason.. please keep doing what your doing.
HI DP and Aaron, I just realised that I had a beaming smile on my face when Aaron managed to hook that first one on his own!!! Great going! Oh and No chainsaw needed! You guys don’t mess about! Great vid guys1 Jerry...Uk
Ya as soon as I read the bit about sliding hills and houses i was waiting for the concrete blocks to swing in lol They are the best eh? Gotta love um 🙂 Good stuff as per always and good to see you Mike with Aaron working together. You can tell how much happier you are with the two of you together working on things. Great stuff for sure. 😎👍👍
That DL550 Minotaur not only isn’t tippy handling those mafia blocks, it doesn’t even look like it’s running on that front idler wheel when it’s carrying them either. Definitely handles the weight very well.
That's some mighty fine dirt moving and engineering on that hillside...seems to me it's a great solution and application. Appreciate you sharing your project with us and as always great content and the like.😎👍🚜🛠️🔧🇺🇸👷♂️
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Good to see the job pulling together. Was sad to see how much money had been thrown at the problem prior to you getting the call. Glad you were able to salvage and repurpose some of the materials. Was surprised to see you scraping rock so close to the surface when digging up the backfill. If only you had known starting out an extra layer or two might’ve started you out on solid rock. Was a shame that Arron doesn’t have his paperwork to take the Mac for more blocks while your grading and stacking. Almost like you need your Captain back for a few runs. Wishing you and your family the best.
lol, Aaron, you're getting mighty fancy on the lil Case: good to see that👍. Also good to see Matt at the jobsite even if he's just recording. And of course Mr Dirt you're the reason for me coming here mostly on a daily basis. Good job, Mike. 👍👍
Chris is going to be on your butt for the counterweight scratch! lol I want to see Aaron on the compactor 2 or 3 courses higher, that could be interesting. 👍👍
Looking better already, nice of Matt to show up it's like watching the three Amigos. 😂🤣👍 That 550 made easy work of those blocks, so much safer than the skidsteer. 🤗
Y’all accomplished quite a bit in this video.doing some serious reconstruction on this job.y’all just keep doing what your doing and carry on.great video as always.kudos 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Ouch!! Enough said on the paint. Looking good impressed with machine operating by both MBTS and You DP. Good to see Matt. I can’t wait to see the finished slope. Thanks again!!
Ha Ha Letsdig18 would have promptly given live birth to a litter of furry mammals then promptly expired in his cab of the "Volvo" he so much as scratched the counter weight.....
DP I’ll have to say that skill working in rock with the bucket backwards. That was a good choice you’ll keep working at it you’ll have it good job be safe.
Looking good guys, that’s going to be nice! Thanks for sharing Mike, kirk from Louisiana! Sending prayers and good vibes! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👌🏻👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Were im at we would have to have dug down 3 to 4 ft added a gravel pad with weeping tile then start the first row. Nice work you two work very well together.
