You actually can! There are programs to go help but you usually aren't hands-on with them due to illnesses being transferred but you can help with making them toys, with food, etc.

Obvious you care. Understand orangutan center's payed and funded by the palm oil industry. Chop down trees - habitat and kill orangutan and then they pay for and fund recovery centers all over the place. It sad people think primates are related to us but they are only 86% and a banana is 60% to humans. So much people don't know and understand. The biggest threat to orangutans is palm oil and palm oil pays for recovery centers. I think it's good to help animals because people are worse than animals. Smart people have checked out of society already because neighbors are evil liars. No one shares and tells the truth. It's so bad.

They share most of the same DNA with humans.

I agree orangutans always been orangutans, We are human beings created in the image of God. We must take care of creation though.

wowowo....no..no..no...people like you are the reason why many orangutans are being hunt and their babies are being kidnap for illegal trading so they could become pet when they are really a wild animal...believe me they don't want to hang out with you, watch TV, play or take a road trip with you..they need to be in the rain forest in their natural habitat and live like orangutan. Please..if you ever become rich please give donation to the orangutan conservation effort and if you really like them you can always come visit the rehabilitation center or apply to become a volunteer...don't ever think of having them as a pet..they are wild animals and belong in the wild..

They aren’t pigs, they’re orangutans. They learnt to survive in the wild which includes eating and Climbing , the caretakers are wonderful people who spend all there time making sure the species doesn’t disappear
