The funniest thing about this is that you can throw this track over a death battle or an epic rap battle of history and it would work.

Connections between Mori and Pink Guy I found: -Both are the pink-clad personas of internet rappers, who’s music often contain dark and edgy themes and lyrics. They have other hobbies aside from making music (Mori streams and plays video games/Pink Guy goes around harassing people and disturbing public places). -Both can speak Japanese. -Both are dedicated to someone, who are given names of honor (The Grim Reaper as “Death-Sensei”/Filthy Frank as “b0ss” or “Papa Franku”). -Both were apprentices of black-clad masters (“Death-Sensei”/Chin-Chin) -Both are a part of a superpowered species or group of entities (V-Tubers/Lycra People). The powers of said species/groups (including Mori and Pink Guy) gain their powers from a natural source (V-Tubers with Gems, and being Archetypes that embody reality/Lycra People with Chromosomes, the building blocks of all space, time, energy and matter). -Both have a particular relationship with a partner (Takanashi Kiara, a fellow HoloMyth member, has a crush on Mori/Red Dick, another Lycra Person, is Pink Guy’s brother). -Despite the personalities they often show to others, both have moments of expressing the opposite (Despite being cool and serious especially when talking about reaping souls, Mori is playful, air-headed, forgetful and loves “cute” things such as romance/Despite being goofy and… Mentally-Challenged, Pink Guy suffers from depression over his flaws and prophesied destiny of destroying the Omniverse). -Both their worlds revolve around and are composed of universes (Hololive contains an infinite multiverse, which is composed of infinite layers of realms that are home to Gods and the V-Tubers/The Filthy Frank Omniverse consists of an unknown number of realms, parallel universes varied in size and composition that are inhabited by humans, lycra, aliens, and kokujin). One of the many realms are both characters’ homes (the Underworld/Realm 6.2 - Nairobi Desert). -Both are affiliated with other RU-vidrs (Mori made a guest appearance on a Trash Taste podcast consisting of three Anitubers (Gigguk, CDawgVA, and The Anime Man). She is also a fan of penguinz0/Pink Guy slapped JonTron’s ass in a Prank video and had guest-appeared at the end of JonTron’s "The Skateboard Kid" video).

Personification of Death vs Servant of the God of Chromosomes Interesting

This track is perhaps the one that I was most curious and apprehensive about the vocal version in probably ever. I don't follow Hololive in the slightest and I only know Pink Guy from the memes. So needless to say, especially with how hard the instrumental went for seemingly no reason, I had absolutely no idea what to expect in the slightest. Also after reading that one guy's comment that stated the connections for the matchup; what the actual hell is that lore for both sides of the matchup ? I certainly didn't expect there to be that much lore and certainly not that type of lore for a silly web program about people with anime avatars doing wacky stuff or a classic internet meme trove made to be offensive and vulgar on purpose. Not complaining but it's really funny. Either way, in the end damn, this song suffers from an acute case of "Ketchup And Flush Down Syndrome" where a track with a meme matchup ends up being genuinely amazing for seemingly no reason. I mean, I certainly don't get a single one of the references in those lyrics but it doesn't remove from how hard the song goes as a whole. In a way this song feels a lot like an Epic Rap Battle of History where on a surface level it feels a bit "low quality" in its general atmosphere (IE: the verses sound somewhat "unmixed" which I'm pretty sure is on purpose especially given the chorus are mixed properly) but then it surprises you by sounding simply wonderful and having lyrics that feel quite deep in what they reference (as said, I don't have a single reference for this but the way they're written makes me feel that there's quite a lot of references littered all throughout them. More on the lyrics later tho). This along with the great instrumental combines to result in a song that feels actually quite emotionally-filled even with how many obvious jokes are added to the lyrics themselves. Speaking of which I quite like how the lyrics play on this by sounding more and more serious as they go on. I mean, literally the second line of the track is "I’m gonna make all your balls sacks snap and crackle" of all things, hard to make something less serious than that. But as it goes on, especially with the chorus, the song goes ahead and mixes those joke lines with more serious-feeling ones to give something that goes genuinely quite hard without losing this joke feeling (once again, similar to how Ketchup and Flush Down did it which is a really good thing). This goes to the point where I actually really enjoy the third verse that references STFU and beyond up to the second chorus (which is probably the only reference of the song I got, once again because of the memes, and speaking of which I really like how fluidly-implemented it is in the song. Feels completely natural despite how hard it seems to implement in a song. Honestly If I didn't know about it I would have thought that it was just a really well made verse part) even despite it being so damn vulgar for no reason which I generally hate in songs. Shows how well the track is written especially given this is combined with the fact that the song's half rap which I generally dislike and yet it *still* manages to be enjoyable even in its verses. And to elaborate a bit more on that I of course need to mention the vocal performance itself throughout the track which plays a major role in how good the song is. With lyrics such as those it was obvious that there would need to be absolutely flawless deliveries and inclusion for them not to fall flat and it wonderfully works. I mean, to take an example, just the completely deadpan "Wow, thanks" is actually really funny and that's one of the first lines. And every line is like this from both vocalists. Of course it's more audible in the verses because the chorus is way more melodic (and don't worry I'll cover the chorus itself in a bit) but as a whole there's absolutely no flawed deliveries in there; every single line lands perfectly to make something that'd otherwise sound extremely cheesy and cringe into something cheesy but actually hype and enjoyable. I mean, as I listen to the song more I'm starting to appreciate the verses almost as much if not even more than the chorus which is saying a lot because the chorus' amazing. Which brings me to finally talk in more detail about the chorus itself. And yeah, without surprise it's great. Yet again I must reiterate that I'm missing all the references in there but for some reason the chorus feels really deep in meaning even in a vacuum. This combined with the way it's sung and accompanied by the instrumental makes it legitimately quite emotionally-driven which is something that I absolutely never would have expected to say from a song where one of the lyrics is "I’d rather shit myself than become a fucking whore so" which means that it is obviously extremely impressive. Overall this track is one that I was highly apprehensive and curious about for the vocal version but I absolutely love the end result. I was worried at first that the vocals would have trouble fitting the instrumental with how complete it felt already but this is legit one of the best vocal inclusions of *any* commission song on this channel, both in how the lyrics are written (honestly I thought that the lyrics were made by Brandon at first with how good they are, really good job on AriesShepard's side for doing them) and how they're delivered by both vocalists. It seems to me that it fits the characters, it fits the general atmosphere of the matchup and gives it a really unique general twist that results in a great song as a whole. It's a very unique song in more ways than one and it's definitely not for everyone but honestly given how this song was bound for failure when it came to pleasing me due to it being almost contrary to my tastes, the fact that I *still* ended up enjoying it that much is telling of how its general quality. This track along with almost all of the recent releases definitely feels like a streak of truly outstanding work when it comes to commissions, both for instrumental and vocal tracks. Truly wonderful work with this to both artists for sure.

I've been waiting for the lyrical version for this MU since January and I was not disappointed in the slightest. This with the soundtrack makes me wish this would be an actual matchup for Death Battle, even if the chances are very slim. I also hope one day both Mori and Joji make a reaction to this. Just getting either one would be priceless. Not only that but this was released on my Birthday so I'm counting this as a present!
