Have you ever felt like things are moving too fast?? In this day and age there are so many things to pull at our attention and demand our time, but what does it look like for us to slow down and be intentional about noticing our days? I have found that when we choose to stop and look around, the scenery isn’t all that bad! Join me in this episode as I chat about the importance of slowing down. I would love to hear in the chat, what are some ways you’ve learned to pay attention to your days?

I couldn’t agree with this more! Lol! I get to work 30-40 minutes early just so I can sit and read in my car. Take the moment when you can!

There is a song by Forrest Frank called slow down. I discovered it a few weeks ago, didn't know God was actually preparing me for the slow down that was coming. I've been going and going for the last two years and this year I didn't plan to stop - I told myself that this is the year I push harder than all other years -. WELL😂, I was forced to slow down..I got sick twice, my car and our other family car also broke down and I used to do my 9 - 5 job plus Uber eats. Now I can't do the Uber Eats for now. It was a rest I didn't want but I really needed. I have spent time with family just getting to know each other, focused on my health and fitness properly, gotten more sleep Hallelujah!!! I thank God for this slow down time.

When we slow down it gives cause to pause! You get to think, and look back on life! it's a cleansing for me! The Holy Spirit speaks to me to slow me down, or cause me to pause! I appreciate The Lord Speaking to me when I slow up. He is audible with me to get my attention when I am going too fast! I appreciate God's timing for me to take it easy! I am easy like Sabbath morning, and I thank God for that time to recalibrate! Slowing down is important and I choose it over fast, speed, hurry mood! Thank God for slow down! Thanks Woman of God!😊💛

I have learned to slow down, only because it was necessary. I now see the leaves in the trees, the wind blow. And when I’m here in my home alone, there is peace, I’ve never experienced that. Iam so great full for this message Chrystal, especially hearing you’re time spent slowing down😊Thank You🌹

You are right on point! I was struggling with a situation with my middle child and that situation took my health to a whole new level, i am a very fast pace person, slowing down for me was really hard, but because of my situation with my daughter, my body took it upon itself to slow down for me. Thank God for trials, they slow you without permision. OUR God is an awesome God

Slowing down to see what my next season is supposed to look like for me personally and professionally. I am intentionally listening to God so I make the best decision for me and my family. I am always running in overwhelm and that doesn't work anymore. Thank you Chrystal.

I learned early in my adult faith raising my daughter as a single parent, well over 23 years ago to rise early and take care of my spirit and my home. Now she is 28 yea old and 2’more adult children rising early is the best. Like Joshua. I can slowly enjoy Jesus, reading the word and caring myself and my home sets the presence for the holy spirit to lead and guide me. Thanks Chrystal.

Amen to slowing down, I went on a cruise to Bermuda by myself and ENJOYED every moment of early devotions with God, journaling, finished reading a book and just enjoying nature and the option to socialize. I learned that I like me, I dont bother me and I really enjoy my three best friends (ME, MYSELF and I) Crystal you shared that your mom went on a cruise by herself and it encouraged me to do the same w/o my family and met and enjoyed the locals of the island. ( I sent a picture of my suntanned feet while lounging . I am preparing for 2023 and Now they want to come along.

I could feel the Holy Spirit's confirmation coming through your message to let me know I have been doing the right thing in being intentionally mindful of the pace of my life right now, and not to let anyone else control that pace but God and me. Both my parents passed within 18 months of each other and I was caregiver for them both and executor to their estate which is a lot of work. Some think that now that everything is settled that I should keep going at the ungodly pace they were used to me going. And I don't have to do that as that season has run its course. It is time for me to grieve and do it well. And you can't give yourself the time needed to do this while on the go. I am my best version of me right now being intentionally mindful of the pace of my life in this new season. If this sounds similar to anyone else's journey right now, know that it is ok to say "no" to all the things others think you should be doing. I stopped listening to all the talking heads and start my day in the quiet presence of the Lord God in devotion and His word . Thank you Sista Chrystal for telling the truth and shaming the devil who is the liar that tells us we need to do more and do it faster. It's just not true. You are a true blessing to us all.

I forced myself to slow down today. After I ran to two stores, in the rain, looking for cream cheese for a recipe, couldn’t find it. I said, forget it, there is something in the refrigerator I can warm up for dinner. I went home and took a nap LOL! Today is the day the Lord made, I’m glad in it! Thanks for that anointed word.

I start each work morning off with pray, positive motivation and affirmation. I come to work usually an 30-45 minutes early so I can have quite time before my co-workers arrive. It provide with time to get my steps in and it also allow time to get my day organize . By doing this it allow me to slow down and I usually have a wonderful day!

I take my slowdown seriously. Because i don’t want to be on a bad mood. Taking walks and enjoy nature helps detox and release all. We all have our days. Sometimes unexpected situations tested us how we react. I say to myself, theres a solution for everything. Tomorrow will be a better day. Or simply let it be of some steam or venting. We needed, and also a good laugh, is a good medicine 😂😜

So insightful, I love this wisdom! So practical and smooth. I've Learned to slow down over the years after learning how not to feel guilty about slowing down, trying to be there for family members or friends, now that I'm in a new season of life, my challenge is finding out where I belong in this season, how do I navigate this new season as a senior, trying to find my inner circle, it's definitely a new challenge. Thank u Crystal!

Interestingly enough, I am not a person that moves fast in day to day tasks, though I need to work on that with being punctual, but I do see where I can move at a slower pace when making food and travel decisions. I typically don't drive anywhere during the work week, before I leave for work. I am also a Sunday nap taker like your friend. I have cut out certain activities or things that no longer serve me in this season of my life. I am saying yes to resting and enjoying the simple things and say no to things that I don't find a necessity.

My children always saying mom you need to slow down. I'm retired not by my choice. Sometimes it's hard to do. Taking naps, I have tried, but I need to stick to it. I read a book little by little. Taking my time.😁 I'm multitask person too. I have stated doing the do a little and go set down and chill. Ok enough I can talk!!🥰❣️❣️❣️Thank you for sharing. I do enjoy listening to you. My pace is not as fast as yours, Chrystal, but I'm packed from the time I wake until I rest my head. But I'm going to bed earlier and waking earlier to allow a slow down. I begin with the Word and prayer, morning pages as a writer and some stretching before leaving. I've learned I have to write things down -- you helped with this to keep my mental real estate clear. I'm finding a clarity to handle the fiery darts, if you will, and when Friday comes I'm ending with a similar energy as remain steadfast and steady throughout the week. Sundays are a rest day overall. Then I have one day a.week to go out for a couple of hours to get nails done, hair and therapy (one service a week). Thanks for the support all along the way

Glenda Morrison just sit with those emotions right now as they are surfacing for a reason. We are emotional beings and are so often trained to keep them in check so that when we need to release them we end up wondering what is wrong with us, when in all actuality the Holy Spirit cannot use us as God intends as he is trapped beneath all the "stuff" we push down. Praying for your peace and clarity from God.
