✅ Welcome to the official RU-vid channel of Quitting Together, a place dedicated to those of us on a journey to recovery, especially from marijuana addiction.
This channel is not about demonizing marijuana; in fact, I acknowledge and support the right to choose. Marijuana can have positive impacts, as it did in my life for a long time. But, like many, I reached a point where it started to take more than it gave. If you find yourself in a similar situation, where marijuana has begun to overshadow other aspects of your life, I invite you to join me on this path to recovery.
➡️ Here, you'll find content that tracks my personal journey from day one of sobriety. This channel aims to provide a supportive community for those who are looking to break free from what is often considered a "non-addictive" substance, yet find it challenging to let go of. Each video is a step in the ongoing process of overcoming addiction and rediscovering the joys of a life not dependent on marijuana.
Whether you're newly sober, considering sobriety, or have been on this path for a while, there's something here for you. I share not only my experiences and challenges but also invite guests to discuss various aspects of addiction, recovery, and mental health. From professional insights to personal stories, each video is an opportunity to learn, grow, and find support.
🎬 Subscribe and never miss a video. Hit the bell (🔔) for notifications on new uploads as we embark on this journey together. This is a safe space for healing, learning, and growing. Let's navigate the path of recovery as a united community.

Over a week weed-free. I too am a musician in my local scene and weed and alcohol is super prevalent at shows. Everyone’s very nice and generous and it can be hard to say no, but the feeling of mental fortitude feels better in the long run. Last night, I had a few beers at a show, had a decent buzz on. In the past, I would’ve totally gone home and smoked to ride the buzz, but I didn’t last night! Feels really good to have power over my impulses. We’re all gonna make it

Thank you for sharing your story and feel free to check out some of the other videos on this channel. I think they will really help you. I know reading through the comments and hearing stories like yours has really helped me.

I stopped smoking (vaping and marijuana) on August 12th, since then I starting drinking frequently. I would not say I am at the point of alcoholism (although not many people would lol) but I am definitely struggling to control my impulses. I am still figuring out my journey, whether I need to quit altogether or just take a break for a while. Nice video!

You being open and honest about it is a great first step either way! I’ve come to realize that if we get to the point where we can acknowledge that we have a problem and that probably means we’re at the point where we need to stop. It doesn’t make it easy by any means, but it most certainly makes it right. I would encourage you to check out some of my other videos and keep checking in with me in the future I would love to hear more about your story!

You were correct about reduction and picking a quit date. I have slipped back into smoking in the mornings. I did well for one month with minimal slips and still do not use tobacco but I am a distance from the position I was aiming for. I’m still in the running to quit but now know the only way I can quit is with a quit date

100%! I appreciate you being open and honest on here as that’s a really good first step and shows you still want to quit! Well, pick a quick date and let me know and I’m happy to hold you accountable
