It Took 2,589 Days To Finish My Film. Here's Why. 

I remember feeling so proud about backing the kickstarter when I was like 14. Now many years on, I’m very excited to finally see it. Congratulations on it all!

I've been waiting for this film since middle school and now I'm in college this is so HYPE

holy shit, i've been following this project since the start! i remember being 14-15 and excitedly telling all my friends about it. i'm 21 now so that's a little scary actually. it's really cool to see how far you've come with it all! excited to get to see it :D

i remember backing this film right after i graduated high school in 2015 with my graduation money. Now, about 7 years later I have completed my degree, moved across the country (usa), work full time in my degree field, and own a home! So happy for you Luke! I can't wait to see the film!

I went to a test screening of this film in 2017, and have been waiting to see it complete since then! Massive congratulations for building this from the ground up, looking forward to seeing it!!

I was 16 when you announced making the film. I wasn't a kickstarter backer, I don't think, but I defo remember giving £10 for it. I also bought the book and read it super quick (I still have it, and I'm going to reread it before the 1st). super excited for this, I always knew you were talented but totally forgot about this project until it won that award. you've grown so much and I'm super stoked to see carrie and patty (who have also grown so much!) on the project. congrats, luke, take some time off tho, jesus

Absolutely more than deserving of an award. Not trying to lean too hard into the money side of things but for a youtube crowd sourced movie that exceed the expectations of what would be delivered is a monumental achievement to the platform and already speaks for it self. From first subscribing in 2014 i couldn't be happier to see someone so passionate for their art it warms my heart to see someone have their dreams fulfilled.

Thank goodness the film is streaming in Mexico, maybe I'll show it to her next time I'm visiting. How time flies... I remember being in middle school and meeting you at VidCon a year (?) before the announcement, and now I'm in my mid-20's about to graduate university. So much has changed, and throughout the years here and there I would think, "Who is Arthur Braxton?" and look up your RU-vid channel again. As a former fan that's come around again, I'm so proud of you! I can't wait to watch the film with my roommate.

Bits that made me want to cry with emotion and one of those films that made me feel so at home, despite multiple dark and upsetting themes. A very grounded and beautiful film.
