The latitudes from Seoul to Busan in Korea are 37 to like 35 degrees N. Denver to Dallas ranges from 35 degrees to 32 degrees N. Indonesia is like 0.79 degrees N. Anything coming from Indonesia is thrown much further out of climatic equilibrium and will be subject to much more dramatic stress and strain as it adjusts to the climate of the US than anything coming out of korea. It’s an industry wide issue and not limited to a single company’s production line.

I am sorry you had these experiences bro. I have been playing LTDs for a long time now and my experience has been EXTREMELY positive. The QC for me has been completely on point. Maybe I got lucky who knows. It just seems you get really unlucky man

I feel you. Back in the days if you spent $500 on a guitar you got a hardshell case and a high quality axe. Spending $1,700 on a guitar to have it play like shit is very frustrating. I have had similar experienes and it really pissed me off. I know first hand that Indonesia guitar manufacturing is hit or miss and more the latter. Then you got S. Korea and that seems a little better but I would prefer Japenese or American. The prices are crazy but it is what it is.

I’m the same man, most of what I play is Japanese E-II or ESP. You get what you pay for nowadays is so true.

Korea is going down in quality too. Went through three 2023's Korean EC-1000ETs and they all had QC issues. Looking to get a refund next, because i'm tired of playing lottery, since i had the same experience with indonesian EC-256s last year. In that price range i kinda expect it... above 1k usd though? not acceptable at all.
@jordansguitarchannel3809

Exactly. It’s why I just save up and get an E-II, or something nicer. I’d much rather have a few nice guitars than projects.

I ordered LTD Viper 256 and nut seems to be moved to a side a bit (like its factory fault) which is causing unfixable big buzz on 1st fret and D and G strings are not laying in their positions on the nut properly idk but this is not acceptable for 500 € guitar. But then again I bought it from not authoritized shop I bought it from one of these big webshops and they probably gave me guitar someone already sent it back...i have 200 € guitars that dont produce a single buzz even if they are not tuned or set up...my heart is broken...probably will replace it for ibanez...I am scared to order online another guitar in that price range, best to try it somewhere first.

Until they fix all the issues I'm done with the brand. Just got a korean made ltd and the bridge and pickups were crooked.... ESP and the distributor offered no help. I think they're done as a brand. You can get custom made guitars to your specs for E-II prices.

I get it bro. It’s crazy how much potential they have, but just let it slide. Sad.
@DanzoSrife
@DanzoSrife 5 месяцев назад
That's sad, because Koreans are well known to make amazing quality guitars, you can just go to a few yrs back. I think its recently, they are probably overworking them and offering them much less pay than before. There's many stories of previous decades of Korean guitar shop worker strikes, but then they fixed it. Seems now its back again. My old JH 600 Hanneman was flawless.

Bro I just got a week ago a brand new Ltd Eclipse 87 nt rainbow crackle, not a single flaw on it and I was surprised on the headstock it mentioned it was made in 2021. Right now the rainbow crackle is not available for the eclipse 87 series . Tho i wish they made more models with that crackle finish. Good to hear you got the guitar up and going. Btw what is your opinion on Schecter?

I learned the hard way not to buy an Indonesian made guitar after my second Indonesian Ibanez. It's just not worth the hassle, your playing will suffer, and it simply does not hold a candle to something made by people who truly care about their product and reputation. I will only buy Japanese made Ibanez guitars from now on personally. I'd imagine ESP players will be in a similar boat. Incompetence is expensive. Might as well pay more up front and get something that isn't a hobby killer IMO.

@NotBCT
@NotBCT 5 месяцев назад
The reason they're pushing the "Premium" Ibanez and the LTDs and what-not is the insane profit margin they get from manufacturing in Indonesia. They'd rather you buy a $1700 LTD than a $2000-$2500 E-II, since they make more money off the LTD than the E-II, same as the Ibanez "Premium" vs the "Prestige." I had a similar issue with Indonesian Ibbys a while back, mostly with the issues mentioned in the video (usually caused by improperly dried woods). Since then Hoshino-Gakki/Hoshino-USA hasn't got a dime from me unless it comes out of the Fujigen factory in Nagano.

@@NotBCT Ibanez is nutty right now. They have Premiums that are the same price as the cheapest Prestige models (1600 ish with hardshell case). And they are at nowhere near the same build quality or playability. It's infuriating.

Jordan, have you checked out Ibanez or Vola guitars. I've had really good luck with them and absolutely no quality issues with them. I've been to TX. love it there but unfortunately alot of humidity and that plays havoc with guitar necks.

I really want to try a Vola, I’m just not a fan of Ibanez necks. I really don’t have any issues with humidity except for this guitar. I’m fairly certain it has to do with when they repaired the crack.

Retract my previous comment on your other video about switching out the 5150 now that you got a proper fireball. Funny I talked to my bud who’s a producer in Germany and he told me ENGL is to Germans as Peavey is to us in the states 😂. All my research has confirmed that. But a proper Fireball is gonna sound great no matter how to slice it. I love LTDs and ESPs but they cut the dumbest corners on some LTDs with a plastic or on some a “molded” nut Like I said in in my previous comment on another video you should ditch the EL34 for a proper stealth. My LTD ec-1000 is a 2011. I’ve never had to replace the tuners or nut that came stock. I feel like it really depends on the build. But im in the works of building out a ne LTD SN-1 with some minor tweaks(pick ups tusq nut) but be very cautious as to made in Korea vs made in Indonesia models. I’ve never owned an Indonesian model, only Korean and Japanese made ones and the quality has always been thru the roof. I’ve heard nothing other that people having problems with Indonesian made models. And I retract my first statement, get rid of that el34 hot garbage and get yourself a stealth!!! Happy Easter to you and the fam homie

Ltd puts graphtech style nuts if they are black in color, i was so pissed when i pulled the nut off my korean jm-ii and found out its just plastic. Most aliexpress guitars come with a bone nut. The frets on mine do stick out a little, not enough to cut me but it feels rough.
