I'm a huge ESP fan and got several of em, I own a 4 knob eclipse which is brilliant as well as a nice run of the mill Ec1000. I also have a snow white EII on order, can't wait to get it!
I have this exact guitar. Same color too. Also have a vintage black ESP E2. Great guitars. Have a few Schecters , LTD’s, Ibanez and 3 Gibson , 2 of which are custom shop. And even one Squier. The Japanese built ESP’s are amazing. 🤘🏻
Ur dead right about good guitars. I grew up playing a USA Kramer Baretta and now I play Kiesel. I have a bunch of mid level guitars and none compare to the kiesels or even my 1984 Baretta I got when I was 14. I’m 51 now. Thanks for keeping it real and doing what you do homie. Much love
Over the pandemic, I fell in love with the E2 full thickness Eclipse. I just bought it and it completely blew away my expectations and it’s a guitar I’ll have for the rest of my life. My first ESP I think I might be hooked.
Great video! What you said about the durability of the nickel frets is exaclty my experience with my 2008 Horizon. With a bit of care and polish, they feel like stainless and they haven't had any bit of significant wear that can be felt. Whilel on paper, the specs are nothing fancy, in actual workmanship, you get what you pay for!
I have a 2012 Snow White ESP standard Eclipse but not as yellow as yours. Actually is still pretty white. I love the fact you love yours almost as much as I love mine lol. Also have an EII Viper like yours.Got me into your channel.Keep coming with these cool videos.
AWESOME guitar brotha. I totally agree with you about pulling the trigger and getting that one guitar you have been wanting. It can really change the way you do everything with regards to music creation.
I ended up returning that ltd jm-2 from indo because when I was getting the strings changed, I noticed cracks on the ebony fret board on the 12 frets and below. I returned it and ordered an e-ii m-ii jeff ling, hopefully the japan quality is worth it.....
Bro I’m sorry to hear, I know that sucks. I can tell you after two years with my M1 I’ve had zero issues, and it’s stayed the same amazing guitar the whole time. Keep me posted, I’ve been eyeing that model.
Def a bummer as the jm-2 was much cheaper than jeff king's m2. These were the only extra thin necks, so even though the standard e-ii might have a little nicer bells and whistles, if the neck ain't right and feeling too thick, then whats the point. My guitar arrives today. I'll give ya n update. @@jordansguitarchannel3809
@@jordansguitarchannel3809 had it for about 5 days now. definitely digging it. was never much of a single cut guy myself, but there's something about this eclipse that does it for me. good times.
I’ve never had a chance to play an actual esp I’ve got a ltd deluxe vintage black that plays and sounds great so I can imagine select woods attention to fret work and setup out of the box is great .
What a great ESP LTD! I have a Sn-1000 LTD and its a great Superstrat Hardtail. Topic of Dream guitars my first and still is a Parker Fly since I seen them in guitar world magazine back in the day. Played one one time but now years later building up my stable then maybe who knows!
There's actually a good amount of them (varying condition) out there , they carry a still really high $ figure. I'd have to play one before thinking about it seriously.
I bought this exact same color 2012 ESP Eclipse, the seller didnt show how beat it was in current day pictures, but idc the tone and feel is perfect so its a steal even in its condition
I already have a black burst MIJ E-II Horizon. That thing is not just a guitar it is a weapon of war. It is best of Gotoh from end to end. I want an Eclipse now to get over my over priced Gibson LP obsession.
Great stuff! I agree - don’t buy a bunch of mediocre instruments. Save up some $, buy the one guirar you really want. Keep it forever and play the hell out of it. In this scenario, it’s a a killer value and $ well spent.
Yeah, cheap guitars are great for a day, but expensive ones last decades. I have a mix of both but looking to shift all the cheapies and replace them with premium pieces. Except my Ltd Viper 301 cos that’s my Superunknown guitar, my Mexi Strat cos it’s just a good guitar and my Sterling St Vincent cos it’s just so good. My EII Eclipse is a better Custom than a Gibby, such a perfect guitar.
If you really want a certain guitar like say a Gibson Les Paul, you can buy all the substitutes that are all great guitars, but in the end you will still want that Gibson Les Paul. May as well just go down that route if capable.
@@jordansguitarchannel3809 Thanks! I'm leaning towards a full thickness Eclipse. The other day, I went to tighten the screws on the back of my Gibson's headstock and most of them just turned. They wouldn't tighten at all. I couldn't believe it. I've had the guitar just over 2 years. They're the factory screws and machine heads. I've never removed anything. So it's either trade it towards an ESP at my local dealer's or I'm also thinking of just getting some Gotohs that only have a screw at the bottom, vs the Kluson style, which has a top and a bottom screw and have a tech fix the holes. I'd love a JH camo Snakebyte but they're way out of my budget.
Yeah definitely have a tech do that, Gotoh tuners are super solid. In my opinion you can’t go wrong with the Eclipse. It’s basically a modern Les Paul, I find it easier to play than my actual Paul.
Guitars are like boobies, so many perfect options. I just got a Gretsch Penguin for my birthday, and still have the Kaizen, LP Custom and with a Phoenix or a Firebird on my list.
@@jordansguitarchannel3809 I have a set of Graph Tech Ratios that have never been used. I'm going to have those installed. If they don't work to my liking, I'll try Gotohs. If Gotohs don't work out, I'll trade the guitar.
@@jordansguitarchannel3809 I don’t really like 7 strings anyways I’m a bit old school, Sylosis is probably the most modern thing I play and even they draw old school influences. Hah 😂
