Alfred…love your show! In Texas, we can launch the boat with a person on board, start the engine and get out of the way of others wanting to use the ramp. For loading, one person gets the trailer in the water and the other drives the boat onto the trailer. We then hook it to the trailer and drive away to free up the ramp. Is there a reason a person isn’t in the boat when launching at Black Point? It just seems to take so long… Keep up the great work 👍
Because its Black Point. Its the same as the people all sit until they hit the dock then think of ropes. OR grab the first post instead of pulling into the dock. Half the people just don't know what they are doing. Plain and simple. Thus the name of the channel I reckon 😉

I teach my new invited crew at the BBQ to cast a line ashore by upturning a bucket, then get to coil the line attached at one, separate coil in half to each hand swing both arms along one side of them and throw with open arms towards the bucket, holding onto the loose end of course. As an added incentive their open beer can is atop the bucket.

Heck no, those small Flat boats, when new they go for 50K ! And many of those Center Console Outboards are easily 100K and up when new. These outboard engines are pretty expensive also when new.
It's a trailerable trimaran. The amas retract for trailering and at the dock. He had to retract the starboard ama to fit into the marina and keep the port open for crew to stand during docking. He'll retract the port ama before going on the trailer. The line that was caught in the prop was simply a support for tilting the motor because you can't reach the motor to tilt like you would on the transom of a power boat. No power tilt. Boat is steered by the rudder only.

Tell me, even though you know I was in the Sea Scouts when I was younger with many boats.....Do you think it is wiser to have a boat with two smaller engines than one larger, just in case you are far out in the water and one goes kaput? I am thinking that for the longest time after watching these marina live streams. Thank you, as always, for what you do.
Two engines means you'll have a higher chance of getting back in. I've seen some boats with one main outboard, but a small 9.9 merc just sitting on the side waiting.
If it's hungry, yes. That's the biggest thing I have seen him eat, most stuff is from the Fish-cleaning table. Alfred has even caught Fred eating a live Pelican !
