Hey guys! Just so you all are aware, I’m not skipping any of the Marvel shows! Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Werewolf will all be reacted to! They will just be on Patreon! RU-vid voted they didn’t want to see Ms. Marvel, but the Patrons get access to everything! ❤❤
Why not make a video because some people don't want to see it? Then they don't have to watch it! I personally want to see your reaction to everything. I mean we got to watch your reaction to Thor: The Dark World...c'mon man! 😢
Fun fact: In the original script Ryan Coogler wrote before Chadwick’s passing, it was a father son story. The black panther got blipped out in infinity war before he knew he was having a son. The movie would’ve taken place shortly after he got back and found out he has a 5 year old son.
thats just ridiculous. all that because of an actor who wasnt even good (if he was, people would know him not only because of black panther) and even in the only role people know about, his performance was nothing special. I have no clue how can people feel like this about such a person.
@@jdmfsdjsaren't you just the edgiest little edge-lord? Just because you aren't aware of the numerous other projects he was in doesn't mean everyone else is as ignorant as you.
Yes that Marvel moment of silence hit so hard uncontrollable sob in the theater and the same with the end that hand shake between chad and Letitia gets me every time
The reason the soldiers etc are walking off the ship is because of the Atlanteans hypnotic singing. It's a nod to the old legends of sirens and mermaids luring men to their deaths with their singing.
I LOVE that this movie knew it wouldn't be the same without T'chala/Chadwick, and they used that absence as part of the story. It's a really hard hitting movie.
exactly. hot take, but I feel like the movie would be worse if they did a recast. not because of someone replacing Chadwick, but it shows realism of how even superheroes can go in unexpected ways. they are strong, but not invincible.
@@camerongough3491agree and not a hot take from what I’ve seen. Even the people who didn’t like this movie say it wasn’t the fact the movie lacked a black panther/T chala, most of the time it’s because the movie doesn’t feel the same as the BP they fell in love with. I think this movie shows how amazing Ryan Coogler is, and his flexibility handling something like this while grieving too.
Watching this movie actually felt like a massive group therapy for all the MCU fans to deal with the passing of Chadwick. Every line felt like they were really talking about Chadwick and not T’Challa. We were all experiencing that grief along with the characters and by the end of the film it felt like we got closure. Not a dry eye in the theater. 😢
Though I sympathize with this statement, I believe that this movie kinda let us all down in the end. This movie was not really made for a Marvel fan and it had a lot of messages pretty apparent, white man is bad kinda message and it kinda ended hurting this movie a lot. I know this might sound serious, but I kinda feel like this movie was just a way for Marvel/Hollywood to monotize on Chadwicks death. I only watched this movie via Stream and Im glad I did, though it was sad how this movie started it would make me even sadder paying money to watch this.
@@kadegetslaid634 I think its molding to be the same thing really, the white man were the colonizers, thats why the white man tends to either be the villain or the guy the movie makes fun of, in this case it was the agent simon i think thats his name.
@SlivkoverseStories yeah 100 percent white people are the most widespread colonisers, it definitely plays into those themes with the villians, killmonger being a villian because of slavery, prodomenty spread by white people during that time in America, and namor, who has a similar distrust of the surface world because of the Spanish and their genocide and colonisation
But what did he do tho? Had 1 movie and couple of short roles in others. It wasnt like Rober Downey Jr. Dying before endgame happened... damn you're blowing it out of proportion
I think the weirdest part about losing someone you love is, as you said, those anniversaries and birthdays and stuff sneak up on you. And 5 or 10 years later, you'll wake up one morning and just feel like absolutely garbage all day with no clue why, until you finally remember what day it is
True . My mom die on 2010. And sometime when I wake up , half wake up / sleep you know ? I was like « why there is no sound ? Why the tv is not on ? (Mom tv). I open eyes , look my room . Where I am ?????? And why mom don’t watch tv ? And then I realize it’s impossible for my mom to be here because she never she my appartement . And finally , I realize she was dead . Bad wake up ….. I have a suite case with a lot of stuff / object , for here. But I don’t open this box … When she die , when I have to Clean her appartement , the closest, with all her cloth dress , I have take all his cloth in my hands , just to smell her « smell » / perfume. People who read , if you are lucky enough to have a mom or a dad or both …….. you are very lucky . Sometime , for no reason , say to your mom or call her , just to say : I love you mom .i love you dad .
I’ve somewhat recently became a father, my boy is 2. Unfortunately it didn’t work out with me and his mom. That happened a little before this movie came out. When I see his son sit down with Shuri, and even without really knowing his Dad he shows a clear love and admiration for him. Brings me to tears every time. Probably just getting way too personal and divulging too much, but I know I struggled with the idea of not being there always when my boy needs me. Or the fear of something happening to him when I could’ve been there to prevent it. Or the fear of something happening to me so I’m not here to protect him at all. So seeing that reality of him having a son, and the great Black Panther isn’t their to protect him. It just really hits for me.
Hello, random stranger on the internet here. Just wanted to let you know that with the attitude you're displaying in the above post, I can tell you without doubt you are going to be an amazing dad, and your son is lucky to have you in his life. Just have to make the father-son moments count when they present themselves, you know? Stay strong. You got this.
one little detail i really like is that the Talokanil are only blue when they're *not* underwater. Because they get oxygen through the water, so when they're on land they're not getting as much as they're used to. In the comics, when Shuri became black panther, her costume had a big fur collar, and I kinda wish the movie used that too. I think it would've looked badass on her suit.
It's the kind of details and her own personal touch , that you can add instead in future movies , when she comes truly into her own . In that one she's literally following Killmonger and T'challa paths , so it's reflected in the armor
I was choked up within two minutes and had tears running down my face by the title card at six minutes. I appreciate so deeply that they gave this to us fans so we could mourn both T'challa and Chadwick as a fan base.
I'm not sure what you mean by the film not "hitting as a hard" without Chadwick, I actually feel like the way they did it (centering the film around his passing) was a phenomenal choice and "hit hard." People said they would have liked a recast to continue T'Challa's story, and some said they should not continue, and some even said to write him out but not have him pass--but I think the way they handled it was just so beautiful. It didn't feel like he "wasn't there"--it felt like he *was,* in every scene. So rare for a film to capture that feeling, actually portraying a legacy lingering over people's heads without just saying that's what's happening. You really feel it here, in every shot, and the fact that the movie is even remotely good (saying this for effect, I think it's actually VERY good lol) despite all of the trouble they faced with his passing is a testament to how much they cared about him as a person, and not just the character.
In my opinion, this was really a pretty strong way to wrap up Phase 4. Much stronger than the previous movie, Love and Thunder. Thor 4 had it's moments, but the more I think about it the more I dislike it because of the over saturation of the jokes and bits like the screaming goats. I think even Chris Hemsworth isn't fully satisfied with the final product either since he commented afterwards that if he got to do another movie he would like to try going in a different direction. Got a bit side tracked, but Wakanda Forever is a touching tribute and way to establish Shuri as the next Black Panther. I'm interested to see if M'Baku will also receive the heartshaped herb and become another Black Panther. I'm looking forward to seeing these characters again in the future of the MCU.
Yeah I wasn't expecting Love and Thunder to be the most disappointing project of Phase 4, seemed like an easy win after how good Ragnarok was. Bummer. Glad that Shang-Chi, Guardians 3 and this turned out so strong.
@@CrowTRobot Yes. Not trying to be dramatic but I was almost sick watching it. Thinking of all that came before. Only stayed sitting out of respect for the past.
My god I have to stop myself from crying at both the beginning and the end. Truly one of the most emotional experiences the mcu has ever made and I’m glad we got to celebrate Chadwick’s legacy and grieve. This movie reminded me why I love marvel, they can get me to care about anything.
This movie doesn’t get enough love & respect, it pulls off so much in the face of what could’ve broken the Black Panther franchise. I’m glad the chose not to recast Chadwick & instead honor him throughout the film, while introducing a new T’challa, his son, who can eventually carry on his legacy, which I think is the most respectful way to continue these stories
Hey, Alex, if you wanna continue Marvel Mondays then please watch the X-Men movies from Fox (different company that made marvel movies that weren’t with Marvel Studios/Disney until a few years ago when Disney bought Fox.) Please continue marvel Mondays, Alex! It’s a need for us!
Exactly my thoughts. I definitely want him to continue Daredevil and the defender Saga, including the Punisher. And of course he absolutely needs to continue the MCU with the different shows and specials like, Moon Knight, she Hulk, and Werewolf By Night.., just to name a few.
Wakanda Forever was the perfect sequel to the first one. From an artistic stand point it is a much better film than the original film and has some of the best acting ever in the MCU. Letitia Wright and Angela Bassett were incredible. It was hard to watch at first without Chadwick but Ryan Coogler does a very good job that although he isn't physically on screen, his presence is constantly felt throughout the movie. Namor was an excellent villain too and the soundtrack rocks in every way. A solid film and well within my top 10 MCU films.
I actually got to see ( not really meet ) Chadwick Bozeman in person when I took a trip with my show choir to New York in high school. I think I was 16 or 17 back then and it was absolutely amazing seeing the King of Wakanda in person.
12:08 Funny you said that bc RiRi Williams aka 'Iron heart' is Tony's protegee in the comics. She had to be introduced here bc they completely ignored her character arc. Tony and Riri basically had the relationship the MCU gave to tony and peter.
I would not say the same , for the most part when she even had her first official armor , He was dead/comatose , and she mostly interacted with an AI version of Tony . Still it's true that he met her , and endorsed her
My dad gave me many moments but my biggest mistake was not letting him in...and then he died...7 years later now today...it hurts everyday...cause i just want to talk to him and tell him everything and he isn't there. and that hurts everyday. only people who lost things can relate to death like really. And this movie made me cry made happy...made me excited in some parts. And in way thought me to just let go of somethings in life and move on.
In the comics Riri made an Iron Man suit out of spare parts. Tony found out about it and contacted her. He mentored her for a while. She called herself Iron Heart which is the name of her Disney+ series that's coming.
I agree. I've rolled my eyes every other time someone has tried to push an MCU movie for an Oscar nod but Angela Bassett absolutely deserved one. Her standoff with Okoye is unreal.
Wow… wasn’t expecting the Wakanda Forever reaction so soon… this movie definitely was a difficult one for the creators to make based on what happened to Chadwick, but I think they went the best route in order to honor him and move forward with the legacy of the character. Such a great film in my opinion… Also, I’m hoping people haven’t told you to skip Ms.Marvel and She-Hulk… cause I feel like people did. If they did, I recommend still watching them, especially since MsMarvel plays heavily into something that happens in a film that comes out later on this year, and since SheHulk has a surprise I’m excited for you to see… plus they are good and fun shows
@@nerdakash4920 Dude, what? First of all, not a kid, I’m a grown as man who grew up with these films… second, just because SheHulk had flaws doesn’t make it a bad series. And I have my own problems with Marvel, but I won’t let one out way the other. I’m saying he shouldn’t skip them because he should judge the shows for himself instead of by the majority who would say otherwise
@@nerdakash4920 she hulk had its good moments, grown ups can see that. Ms Marvel was pretty good tbh. It’s supposed to come before Thor LaT, but Alex skipped it, because of a poll.
Ms Marvel is Hannah Montana level which is fine if that was the intended audience. Anyone saying it was great for what marvel is doing elsewhere is just simping. If it was disconnected it’d be fine or if she wasn’t a frontliner. She is utterly cringe in the Marvels trailer. The only saving grace of that movie is Monica.
Ree-Ree's super-hero name is "Iron-Heart", and in the comics she was Stark's protogée before Stark died. So the similar visual elements are on purpose.
30:19 this movie actually won OSCAR for costume design ! Ruth carter the legend is behind all this. This was her 2 nd oscar . 1 st oscar was for the same category for black panther 1
I can’t show my appreciation for this movie enough for how it handles grief. Having lost my brother and my mom just three months apart, I can attest that deep losses like that will absolutely change you. They show all the stages of grief excellently, and it was a really good movie overall. Great reaction as always Alex! 🤘
I feel like the only one who absolutely LOVED this movie. From art direction, score, set design, costume design, performances, and the way it tackles questioning one faith, it totally knocked it out of the park for me. It's #5 on my top MCU movies (behind Endgame, Infinity War, Guardians 1, and Winter Soldier).
It's not in my top five , because it's crowded lol . But it's a great movie , and pretty much the best they could have done with that real life situation . Namor is also excellent ..can't wait to see more of him
My week has now been saved! 🙌🏾💜🖤 Also, about the positive or negative motivations from teachers or people. I’ll be honest I’m not happy where I’m at and words can make an impact on someone as it did for me. Honestly, the same negativity still haunts and clouds my mind a lot so I’m for positive motivations.
The perfect tribute to Chadwick. He would have loved this movie. And he would be happy that the crew and cast made this movie not just for the fans and viewers but also for him as a tribute. Rest In Peace Chadwick Boseman. Wakanda Forever.
I think we need both positive and negative reinforcement(someone to doubt us) a healthy is balance is key. Proving someone that doubts you wrong and showing them just what you're made of is a GREAT motivator, however we also need positivity from other sources.
@@cindynderitu757 a) I said ONE of my favorites, so learn to read. b) Shuri is Black Panther now. I loved her as Black Panther long before this movie because she earns the title in the comics, too. So yeah I said what I said
seeing this in theaters on premier day is something ill never forget. the moment of silence in the beginning and the silence in a giant theatre with 200+ ppl. it was like the world stopped turning, unforgettable.
The reason its’s slower is because they have to tell a whole new story and give you the exposition and back story not the new characters. We were introduced to Black Panther in Civil War and we didn’t have to go into a lot of the character development to understand why the motivations behind the characters actions. Even with Kilmonger they were able to give us simple explanation for his motivations and we all understood his assignment. Where as with this movie you aren’t only getting to learn the motivations of a new antagonist, you’re getting to learn the motivations of a new protagonist. Plus this isn’t an action movie, it’s a movie about grieve with a little action added
All i need to say is that when the movie ended I just cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried cried and cried and cried and i am STILL CRYING. RIP Chad 🖤♾️ 🕊️ legend. Our Inspiration . ❤ Wakanda forever 🕊️ You are and will always be Missed ❤️❤️
23:04 something I noticed during the premiere of Wakanda Forever is during Nakia & Okoye’s really emotional scene, you can see people walking normally & then water flowing on the ground before the attack, I just love Ryan Coogler’s attention to detail on this entire movie
Most of the theater reaction for this movie was just quiet sobbing. All you could hear was people sniffling and crying throughout the whole thing. It was definitely an emotional experience.
@@patrickcox8990 I take it you didn’t see it opening night. Apparently most theaters were like this. You ever see a big movie opening night? The audience reactions are a different experience. Especially certain Marvel movies. People showed up to both movies in African garb. It’s not that weird, dude. People resonated with the death of Chadwick.
Original script was Tchala and his son would be going on a father-son adventure. Unfortunately, the script completely changed due to Chadwick's passing, but instead, Tchallas son was used nicely to honor Chadwick
RE: the suits looking like a combo of the two previous suits - Back in Black Panther, there were three suits she offered to her brother. He liked one. Killmonger took a second. She's wearing the third. They set that choice up, way back then. Not realizing that it would mean THIS when it happened.
The reason Namur has pointy ears, winged feet and isnt blue is because not only was he effected by his peoples flower but he's also a Mutant, the girl u said Tony would like is actually his um successor IronHeart
Yeah this is an excellent movie with rather perfect tributes ... but some walls can't be overcome , and losing Chadwick is one of those . Still i'm so glad they did not recast T'challa , it would have "failed" to hit even more than the movie we got . And oddly as a comics fan , a major Black Panther and T'challa comics fan , some part of me wishes the character was still around , even without Chadiwk Boseman , but it just would not work the same for the movies . Moving on is the only solution ... till someday maybe , his kid grow up to be a good substitute yet character of his own , as T'challa Jr .
I’m 20 now, and I’ve never experienced a loss. But I’m sooo afraid of when that moment will happen, especially with my grandmother. She is the number one person in my world and she has an illness where no cure has been found yet. I just really hope she can fight for a couple years and watch me graduate college and start my own live.
I’m 24 and my 86 year old grandma passed away last month…. She was a great person with a loving spirit. I wish you and your family a long life full of fun, joy and great memories!
I respect your choice to save some of the marvel stuff for the paying Patreons. Although I am not a supporter on there, I get it. Make that paper, bro! This movie was very emotional. That opening funeral/celebration of life just hit me right in the damn feels LOL and then the after credit scenes with Prince T'challa, OMG that was a moment where I was sad, but filled with so much joy I could not help but tear up and let the water fall from my face. Such a beautiful scene. Rest In Power, King! I remember the internet was split in half with fans wanting T'Challa recast, and those who didn't. I think that was the perfect recasting choice for T'Challa that both parties could get behind. Great reaction, bro!
I just happen to live in Chadwick’s hometown of Anderson, South Carolina. this man has done so much for the kids & local communities here. Wakanda Forever, My King 🤴🏿🙅🏼♂️ also, Namor was bad ass, can’t wait to see him more
This movie hit hard at the beginning and the end. I was a little disappointed that it took so long to Black Panther. I hope that Shuri continues as the character, but I look forward to Prince T'Challa II to come forward and be Black Panther.
Glad you're watching this, sad the internet convinced you to skip Ms. Marvel as it's easily one of the better MCU shows. I leave with this: don't skip the Werewolf or the Guardians holiday specials.
@@ngrosskurth hilariously they could have just skipped his reaction . See i dislike Venom 2 , so while i gave him the click and like , i just had to skip it , easily done . But haters gotta hate and parade all around for everyone

What i feel like many have missed is how in that scene where Shuri showed mercy towards Namor, she was using T'challa's line "Yield for your people, your people need you" when he first won his battle for the throne against M'baku.
I still have such a strong emotional connection to this movie and gotg3 i lost someone not too long before i had seen the movies and i cannot hold back tears for the beginning of this movie
I like how they didn’t explain how he died in universe. They never wanted to exploit his cancer as a plot point so they just left it vague and he could have been sick with anything or injured from somehtingb
Wakanda Forever was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. As a long-time Marvel fan and someone deeply invested in the Black Panther legacy, watching this sequel was incredibly hard yet necessary. The film's dedication to Chadwick Boseman touched my heart; it was a poignant reminder of his incredible talent and the impact he had on so many lives. The way the movie tackled grief and loss was both raw and relatable. It felt like the filmmakers were not just telling a story but also mourning alongside us, showing the profound effects of losing someone we love. The tribute scenes were beautifully crafted, capturing both the essence of T'Challa and Chadwick, and I found myself tearing up multiple times. The exploration of how Wakanda copes with the absence of its king was brilliantly portrayed. I appreciated how the narrative delved into the struggles of leadership, the nuances of responsibility, and the burden of legacy. Shuri’s journey from grief and anger to acceptance was particularly compelling. It was more than just a superhero story; it was a human story about resilience and healing, something that resonates deeply in our world today. Let’s not forget the introduction of new characters like Namor and the underwater kingdom of Talokan. I felt that these new elements added depth to the narrative while also showcasing a rich culture that mirrors our real-life struggles. The visuals were stunning, and the way they honored indigenous cultures was thoughtful. Moreover, the emotional weight of the film was balanced with powerful action sequences and stunning cinematography. The fight scenes were not just visually impressive but were also integral to character development, highlighting the stakes involved. However, I did have some mixed feelings about pacing in a few areas and certain plot points that felt rushed, possibly due to the tough decisions the creators had to make under challenging circumstances. Overall, though, I believe it succeeded in not only honoring Chadwick Boseman’s legacy but also laying a new foundation for the future of the Black Panther franchise. In summary, Wakanda Forever was a tribute to love, loss, and the enduring spirit of a community coming together in the face of adversity. Watching it was emotionally challenging, but it was also an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything. Thank you to everyone involved for creating such a meaningful and heartfelt film that will resonate with fans for years to come. 💔✨
Dude I can't help to notice you missed the fact that Namor was born a mutant and that his home is Atlantis and the funny thing it is not a city It's a continent so Namor is not exaggerating about any thing he said he has a lot more warriors than Wakanda. And remember most of the planet is under water and humans depend a lot on the Sea and Oceans.
Yup. Ms. Marvel was SO good, as were the two specials. The internet decided to hate Ms.Marvel several months before it came out. Even though it critically reviewed extremely well, people still spread lies about it so I think that's a lost cause now. I think he'll watch the specials though.
As always another great Marvel reaction! I brought a tissue box when I saw this movie opening weekend! I knew I was going to be crying my eyes out… and I did! The opening scene was so beautiful, and I felt that it was appropriate to give him the celebration of life and continue with the story. It truly went with the theme of grief; life moves on, even when we are not ready for it to move on. I thought the son at the end was also a perfect touch, because there was so much debate about should BP be recast or make Shuri the new BP. All in all it was a good movie, however the first one does still holds a big place in my heart, and like you said it is not the same without Chadwick.
this movie is definitely about loss and grief and to me the most heartbreaking thing about losing a loved one is the fact that i'll never be able to talk to them ever again until i die more than likely. its such a simple notion because thats what happens when someone dies but yet it's such a complex emotion to struggle with nd it's deep and it hurts the soul especially for people that didn't deserve to go :(
To answer your question, a lot of all this stuff is pulled from the comics, characters, storylines, etc. Janes cancer, the getting the hammer after being diagnosed.
I really enjoyed it and loved the movie it definitely isn't the same without Chadwick but still a great movie, I was keeping it together till the end part when it flashes back to show Chadwick in the previous scenes and then when T'Chalas son is brought is where I finally broke and started crying
Unpopular opinion: This movie was propped up by the emotion over Chadwick, if you take away that the movie is.... just... Good. not great, just good. Add the Chadwick emotion and you're just kind of wired already
I left the theater so disappointed for this exact reason. Disney pushed this movie by using the loss of Chadwick to their advantage like the scum bags they are. I know I’m in the minority when I say this but they genuinely should’ve just recast t’challa and went with the story they had literally already finished writing. Rip Chadwick you were an incredible human ♥️
