This is your fault Jimmy. Year after year, you predict that the Celtics will win a championship, and year after year they choke. But the one year you don't predict for them to win...
Im kinda of a "casual" to basketball so I dont know if this question Im asking if its dumb or not. If we are going to use the best player on the best team logic for who wins Finals MVP shouldnt that be the same for regular season MVP?
Wolves are better, they were just mentally and physically fatigued from previous series. I believe that if the Mavs and Wolves played in the first round, the Wolves would win.
People don’t truly understand how insane LeBron 2nd Cavs stint was, would’ve potentially been a dynasty if the Warriors didn’t snag KD after that 2016 loss.
I mean, the Celtics are STACKED, if you put Luka in Tatum's shoes right now he's turning into Bill Russel 2.0...Now that being said kudos to their front office for actually doing their job
Can you make a video on Inflategate? How home team stats used to be juiced around the league-questioning the DPOY 86-87 season. Look at Jordan’s at home vs away steal and block stats
I think the Tatum hate stems from his luck with how many good teammates he has had at such a young age. Everyone is jealous that their favorite players weren’t as fortunate as him so they take it out on him.
nah just annoying how he claims himself to be a top player yet craps his pants every playoffs. all the corny stuff he does it’s not surprising ppl don’t like him.
@@ramoncartierright?? Until this year I had him lumped in with Embiid as a playoff dropout. But he’s doing a very respectable job this season. Even though I’m not a Tatum fan, gotta give him his flowers when they win.
NBA discourse will be infected with that fucking picture until probably several years after Luka retires and even then it’ll pop up from time to time when the Mavs play the Suns or Timberwolves in the playoffs
Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars is the real answer. Ask MJ, he knows, he lost to them 3 years in a row during his prime and only got past them once they got older and started to get some timely injuries.
Tatums gonna win his first NBA Championship and he's only 19. But on a real note, Tatum has solidified he's not overrated and CAN get it done. This is one and probably many more to come. Hes just getting started
JT a star, not a superstar. Theres only a couple superstars in the league. In order to be a superstar you have to either be really fucking famous, Lebron and curry, or be really, really fucking good. Luka and Jokic.
@@Majuuub What? No. There are not 15 superstars in the league. People don’t understand the meaning of superstar. In order to be a superstar, people have to know who you are even if they know absolutely nothing about basketball. Nobody who doesn’t watch basketball knows who Jayson Tatum is. He is a star. Star isn’t a bad thing.
I thought this video was gonna be about how Jxmy predicted that the Celtics were gonna win the chip the last two seasons, and the one year he didn’t pick the Celtics, they’re on the verge of winning it all
In the Tatum vs. Pierce argument, you forgot to mention that Tatum has been forced to wear a Vista Print logo on his jersey-- I think that's an important stat.
@@deebee2762 Only he hasn't, you just don't watch the games. He didn't score the first to games, but he assisted, rebounded, spaced the floor by drawing double and triple teams, and played better defense than the entire mavericks team combined.
Jayson is humble enough to give his team the spot light and let him ball out. personal awards don’t mean much to Tatum when he’s already won so much and Jaylen is showing he deserves it more than Tatum. It’s a PG n SG game in the finals tatum is a elite PF doing his job well
A Tatum fmvp would heal basketball discourse. I’m a Celtics fan and I don’t care if Neemias Queeta wins finals mvp as long as we win the series. Nobody can just say “Tatum is really good and Brown is really good” it always has to be “Brown is better than Tatum” or “Tatum is better than Brown.” Both will have their moments, both are stars in their own right. Tatum and Brown are not 1 and 2, they are the 1 2
I'm not a Celtics fan but honestly I don't understand the insane debate about Tatum and Brown -- both are great players that any team would love to have. I've seen each of them have bad games but a lot more great games. They're on the same team -- just enjoy it. Celtics look like they're going to win this in 5.
People call Tatum playoff dropper when he’s scored the most points ever in a game 7 and has multiple legacy saving games against the bucks, heat and Sixers
The thing I noticed about Jason Taytum (at least imo) was that in the series against Miami he seemed totally dazed and not in the zone nearly enough to deal with Jimmy Butler’s intensity and energy. These playoffs he had experience and the bitter taste of defeat to keep him focused. I think he will continue to improve, we have yet to see his final form
jimmy isn’t my favorite youtuber. i don’t watch live basketball games (going to start). but if jimmy uploads, i watch. the quality is ALWAYS there and i have made it my goal to watch and like every video
I think that take was brought up because of jerry west’s passing. If yall dont know, he was the guy who won finals mvp while losing. I still think lebron should’ve won that fmvp. And iggy shouldn’t even be in consideration, steph should be the runner up next to bron. What a wacky award
My take: If the TWolves or Nuggets were in the finals, they would have won the series. The TWolves, designed to beat the Nuggets, just barely did, but then went up against their weakness in 2 guards that can make bs shots. But the Nuggets would've beat the Mavs and Celtics, and the Wolves coulda beat the Celtics. The best teams just happened to go against teams that had their weaknesses.
hot take: “clutchness” is extremely overrated, saying someones is good at scoring “when it matters most” is stupid. you wouldnt need to turn it up at the end of the game if you scored more earlier, why praise someone for getting out of a hole that they themselves dug.
Very good take, you got me wondering too and i may have the answer for you. clutchness biggest factor its not on court skill, its composure and coolness in a moment where normal people get nervous/anxious/overwhelmed. Lapses in concentration happen due to various reasons hence why you dig yourself a hole... then its time to rise to the ocasion, can you bring your sh*t together and make it happen? So not only do they praise "Clutchness" for its game saving heroics but also for the strong mentality of the player, which in most cases is what separates All Stars from All-NBAs
I have always agreed with this. You’re essentially praising people for doing less in most cases. In some cases it matters. like a neck and neck game where you’ve been performing the whole time, or lebron in 2016 going against what could be considered the second best team of all time. but overall, a very overrated stat that is essentially worthless. if you play good all game and aren’t “clutch” they see you as bad. but if you do jack all game and turn up at the end they eat it up
I was looking at a wiki about teams that have come back from a 3-0 deficit and didn't realize that the Celtics almost pulled it off in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals. This is a dangerous team.
