Hey folks, this is a good recipe channel, and chef Joel is french, but lives in Australia, which like the U.S. has many immigrants who adjusted recipes to local tastes, especially in cafes,restaurants,diners, etc.. to make a living. Here are a few monstrosities we have from italian immigrants in the U.S. that were changed to fit local tastes and to make a living, so how can you fault them for that ? Here are recipes you will not find in Italy/Sicily but are big sellers in the U.S., fettucini al fredo, spaghetti & meatballs, meatballs are always served on the side but not here, in italy only ragu on the pasta, most eateries do not finish their pasta in the sauce, they pour it over the pasta, they do not serve the pasta in a spiral in a hot bowl style dish to keep it warmer longer, they use garlic powder on bread instead of fresh cloves sliced and rubbed on the toasted bread. I could go on and on , but can we all chill on the term italian bread, because all the things mentioned above are served in so called italian restaurants here, whether they be chain places or 1 owner italian immigrant owned

Garlic Bread was invented by a Tibetan throat-singer named Wayne Gehlman while on a vacation in Twin Falls, Idaho. It was originally thought by many scholars that it filled his need for a midnight snack while keeping the Nosferatu at bay. Bruschetta is an antipasto from Italy consisting of grilled bread rubbed with garlic and topped with olive oil and salt. Variations may include toppings of tomato, vegetables, beans, cured meat, or cheese Garlic Bread is actually a French dish called "Préfou", made exactly the way they do it in America, with melted butter on baguette slices and baked in the oven.

And sure the dried mozzarella they used looks more a provoletta cheese to me but sure not juicy real mozzarella. Dunno why in US they change names to things from abroad...

I feel like I have kind of a hard time sometimes finding good bread as well and it's actually ridiculous lol. Bread is such a staple for everyone. It should never be hard to find great quality as opposed to a shit ton of processed pre sliced garbage.

Wrong parsley variety for classic Italian you need flat leaf not as you showed curly.

In Ialia esiste la "bruschetta", ossia fette di pane fatte tostare sulle quali si strofina l'aglio e poi si aggiungono pomodori e basilico. La ricetta presentata in questo video di italiano non ha nulla e non esiste.

😨😨 Heart-breaking!! 🤧👌🏻 I wonder how people keep fit eating cheese? I mean .. uhh 😕 I got no gallbladder.. a bit of cheese would be stored and appear on scale. 🙄 Had to change my lifestyle to stay fit after surgery keeping out cheese, whole dairy products and fatty meats not to mention anything containing sugar and trans fats. Life's still good. 😭👌🏻

Fausto Levantesi we all know that, it is just that he used italian bread for the base. Italians got the pasta from the orient a long time ago and who cares. We all know you have like 500 pasta shapes and they are all good and i will eat them all. Tomato sauce, olive oil,cream base, no base, they are all good. Minimal ingredients that are of good quality is the key, as you know, great cheeses and wines, i love italian food. You do not call any of your pasta dishes like meatballs and orient inspired/originated spaghetti, let it go pal , i'm irish and i am relatively sure we did not invent the potato, eat it how you like it, make gnocci and enjoy some food and wine pal, you are going to stroke out over a food video, have a nice day,and God bless you and your family R
