Wow this is actually how I make my garlic bread. This is the same recipe I use at home so of course it's a 10! Sometimes I put sun dried tomatoes on it.
In Lebanon we would melt some mozzarella cheese on top . It tastes amazing and we do it the same way you did it in the video. Amazing recipes .Keep the good work on
Garlic bread deserves better than powdered garlic, better than butter, better than cheap baguette if possible. That’s what this recipe is. A chef must believe that food, like any art, deserves the best they can give, and they will never go wrong.
Thanks for clearing my years of confusion on garlic bread! I never saw it when I lived in Sardinia, my Italian Mom and Grandparents never served it but yet it is in most American Italian restaurants... You must be my long lost brother, because I never liked it, especially with all that butter on it! Your recipe changes everything for me, I could eat your garlic bread every day! Thanks Vincenzo!
Garlic bread is an Italian-American Depression-Era invention, essentially Bruschetta Alla Romana made with readily available ingredients. Butter was cheaper than olive oil, baguettes were cheaper than ciabata. The reason it's in every Italian restaurant in America is because most Italian restaurants in America are ran by Italian-Americans.
@@Ardyrezv I'm Italian and it just upsets me to see. I think people putting their twists on dishes is such a beautiful thing and it brings the world together. If you want to put bacon and cream in your carbonara because that's how you like it, by all means do it, I'm just happy to see you enjoying food.
All I can say Vincenzo, is fabulous! Thanks for sharing your recipes, passion and culinary skills with the world. Its a pleasure to watch the masters in you family work their art
@@vincenzosplate The comment I left you is the only comment I've ever posted on RU-vid - you certainly deserved it! The Ciabatta buns are on the go, then garlic bread........many thanks!!
@@vincenzosplate One more thing I forgot to mention. You are missing something very important in your videos, you are not wearing the Foodfather bow tie!!!!
I just watched this video and decided to make this recipe! We always keep good quality extra virgin olive oil, fresh ciabatta bread and garlic on hand and I grow my own parsley, so it was really quick and easy to do and was the most delicious garlic bread ever!
This must be so good! The other day I experimented and made garlic focaccia! I took a focaccia recipe, added parsley, garlic and a tone of love and it was delicious! 😍😍
I'm making this one tonight. This is amazing. I have made 2 of your lovely Pastas already and now this Beautiful Bread. I can't wait. Thank you so much...
Just test out this recipe, and it's so awesome! I grated a bit too much pecorino and not as much oil as you did, but it still taste super fantastic! Thank you for sharing such a popular dish but with your Italian twist!
This looks fantastic. I love garlic bread but never eat it because of the massive amount of butter and cholesterol that comes with it. I’ll be making this very soon. Thanks Vincenzo!
Cholesterol is good for you. People need to update to the current state of knowledge. It's sugar and "vegetable oil" that damage the heart and arteries, requiring the cholesterol bandaid that the body makes on purpose. Don't like cholesterol clogging your arteries? Try cracked arteries that leak blood and tear open. That's the alternative. That's why the body makes and uses cholesterol. To fix it, fasting works amazingly well.
I was planning to make some garlic bread this evening using butter, but I thought let's check Vincenzo to see what he says. I will definitely use extra virgin olive oil. It looks a lot tastier.
Congratulations to 711k subs! When I make garlic bread I take a French baguette bread which I cut to put the selfmade garlic butter in it (without cutting through). Then I put the bread into a foil and now in the oben. No cheese, no oil. Thank you very much, Vincenzo, for sharing your great recipe video of garlic bruschetta with us. Greetings to Suzanne, to Sebastian, to your families in Australia and in Italy and to you, Vincenzo, from the Swiss Kitchen Dummy!
I hope you have a real olive oil. Not that big box store garbage. I'm fortunate I have a olive oil and balsamic store close to me....fresh and u can taste anything u want and pair them
Thank you so much will definitely try it , I love Italian cuisine a lot pls make more vegetarian recipes , I will rate it 10/10 because of how good you explain things and it looks so delicious 🥰🥰
@@alexilaiho321 There was another comment on here that mentioned butter was used in the Americanized version because good olive oil was almost impossible to come by back in the early days of Italians immigrating to the US where butter is cheap and readily available, and Americans got used to it once Italian restaurants started opening up around the country (and eventually world).
Dear Vincenzo, I love all your recipes and cocked a lot of them. Family loved it. I have a question, Since Christmas is getting close. Would you consider making some Videos with Christmas specials? Or simply, how would your X-Mas menu look like? Cheers from Germany Keep going with your amazing work 👍🏻
Thank you, I really appreciate! Of course I'll publish some Christmas recipes! In the meantime you can find all my Christmas recipes here www.vincenzosplate.com/?s=christmas
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you love my version. 🥰 Keep enjoying the recipes and let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see. Happy cooking!
In some so called "italian restaurants" in the Netherlands you get some fresh baked ciabatta bread as a side, if it is a decent restaurant. And i always top it with olive oil and salt 😅 it is really good
When I went to a restaurant, I often thought: you can only feed me bread with garlic/herbal butter, and I would be very happy! Unfortunately don't often go to restaurants, or even 'eetcafés'. Ik ga nu iets in elkaar flansen met P.A.N. maismeel met knoflook- of kruidenboter. :)
Cracker of a recipe Vincenzo, loved the video. Easy to make and no "butter" required, definitely looks better than the stuff you get from "Pizza Hut" or "Domino's". Absolutely making this "Garlic Bread" soon, the Italian way of course 🤣🤣🤣 Easy to make. Just a few ingredients and your done, easy peasy. Just another fan from Sydney. Lots of love to you and your family. ☺️🤗🤗 😄😄😄
I'm thrilled to hear that! Changing up your garlic bread recipe can bring new and delicious flavors to your meals. Enjoy experimenting in the kitchen! 😊🇮🇹🍞
It truly is an amazing dish, I must say. It is well flavoured, the texture is superb and it's not soggy. The garlic gives out that amazing kick and it compliments well with the rest of the ingredients. You should definitely give it a try!
I didn't know garlic bread wasn't Italian. You learn something new every day. XD The way I occasionally make garlic bread is buttered bread, sprinkle with garlic powder, then make it golden brown in a skillet. It's good. Not as good as yours though, I'm sure. :)
Actually spaghetti and meatballs DOES exist in CERTAIN parts of Italy. Like spaghetti con pallotines from teramo. Even vicenzo said his nonna made spaghetti and meatballs for him.
“a meta-analysis of 75 different studies, suggests there isn't convincing evidence that saturated fat - which butter has, but olive oil does not - increases the risk of heart disease”
Will be making this soon can i use vegan cheddar and mozzarella cheeses instead as i have them in the fridge at home i love garlic bread soooooooooooo much perfect for my after office snacks love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
I remember saying that the bread should be slightly charred dry, rub it with a cut garlic clove and then drizzle extra virgin olive oil after and enjoy
BRILLIANT RECIPE SIR!! For info; Air Fryer is a CON - A Waste of MONEY! - Translation; Its Just a small version of a Normal FAN OVEN. Just Use your fan oven - Zero Cost. Just put things on wire racks or baking trays to allow the hot air to flow :-)
Garlic bread with butter is a classic comfort! 😊🍞 In Italy, we also savor it with olive oil, garlic, and herbs. Try it our way for a flavorful twist! 🇮🇹🌿
3 cloves for 2 halves of ciabatta, I am confused. Did you mean 3 heads of garlic? Looks great but I would add more cheese & garlic. Love your videos vincenzo. I will have to try your ciabatta recipe.
Una sana alternativa, sicuramente la assaggerò! Qui in Brasile abbiamo il pane all'aglio. Nessuno sostiene che sia italiano, ma è molto pesante e calorico.
@@vincenzosplate for the pizza base, it was just that that's a popular style of garlic bread in the uk; the mix of garlic and vegetable oil was probably to stop the pre-minced garlic from going bad. The chefs there did a lot of stuff that would make for entertaining reactions if they ever filmed it...
That sounded so crunchy!! It sounded like you were eating bones lol. Great recipe though, I'd never thought to swap the butter for olive oil but i'll try that next time.
@@vincenzosplate Oh cool thank's for the reply back were do you buy your fresh pasta and cheese's from and your tomato 🍅🍅🍅🍅 passata from do you buy them from online store if so what is it called i bought some of my fresh pasta and cheese from Supermarket Italy it's an online store based in New Jersey USA 💛💛💛😮
