I love watching her videos, reminds of me the old days of YT when people were authentic and okay to not be perfect: not showing off their $3,000 purse, wearing the same heavy makeup, being overly animated, going to the same hot spots. Nothing necessarily wrong with the latter but this is so much more refreshing. Also, you are still young and will meet someone else meant for you at the right time.

Grape jelly, well-known non-organic peanut butter, like Skippy’s or JIF, and soft white bread. Give a thick serving of both in the sandwich, it’s almost messy. Enjoy!

She has her whole life to live a secluded/solitary life but while she’s young it’s not healthy to live so isolated after a while!! Did you see that film about the guy who left everything for a life in the wilderness and then he ended up going crazy and realising that human connection is most important in life. That's the healthy peanut butter! You need the thick kind that's pumped full of fat, sugar, and preservatives :D Also, highly recommend having it on toasted sourdough. Not traditional, but my favorite way to have a PB&J.
American here - you need inexpensive peanut butter, and strawberry jam or grape jelly (strawberry jam is THE best) on white bread to get the full experience. No bougie peanut butter, you want Jif, Skippy, or Peter Pan. Natural peanut butter isn't going to give you the full effect. Even better with a tall glass of ice cold milk.
Most of the time good quality ingredients are always better except in the case of Peanut butter and Jelly. Many American's like myself find comfort in Jif peanut butter and either strawberry or grape Smuckers jam, they are not the highest quality but make for a pretty good sandwich. Thats my own opinion, but I don't know if that was the issue. I'm not north American and I don't like to make them with Jif or most cheap jams that ppl get here. I actually prefer to make them w natural peanut butter and better jams or even just natural peanut butter with a cheaper jam bc to me the sweetness balances out better. I think jif with most jams can be too sweet for my taste.
Hey Rosie! This is like the first comment I’ve left in 10+ years of having RU-vid! I found your channel two days ago and I’ve been loving watching all of your videos for how realistic they are. They’ve made me feel more confident about my eating habits (and the joy of eating well without convincing myself I have to work out like crazy to justify it) and my self-image has improved so much by watching you because you are a beautiful person. Your personality is so sweet and calming too! I’m finishing up college this year and I haven’t made any friends so I get really lonely too away from home and my dogs. I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety in the past but with the quiet it’s a constant struggle to stay out of that. But your videos really relate to me and make me feel like I have a friend in these tough times! So much so that I’ve left my first RU-vid comment here ever! Even though you’re blowing up and will probably never see this, I wanted to thank you for showing me how even the simplest moments in life can have so much beauty. :) Don’t give up! And don’t work yourself too hard either. And know you have plenty of friends here rooting for you. Now I feel inspired to get up and explore my world a bit more.
I had some Italian friends in grad school and they would curse for 15 minutes straight anytime we all had coffee or pizza (as students, this was a daily occurrence lol) 😂😂😂 I felt bad for their refined tastebuds having to suffer the crap that passes for food and drink here

The only thing I keep hearing is that it takes time. My advice would be; feel it. It's really scary and extremely painful but feel all of it. Cry, and don't stop until you feel like it. I agree 100%. One of the reasons why I stopped watching Vlog videos and RU-vidrs because so many people came off fake and like everything was happy and smiles all the time.. I love the fact that she gives honest reviews and opinions!

She moved to Canada 100% for economical reasons, you see South Italy is not a wealthy place, so to get more opportunities you need to move out of the country. I've watched her wating videos and unfortunately the pizza she eats is not good, to get a good Pizza in Italy you have to go to Naples and to eat a different style you gotta go to Rome, Calabria (where she makes her food videos in Italy) is known to not have a good pizza.

Hi Rosie I'm also living in Toronto. I'm Canadian but my parents were both from Puglia. I live very close to Woodbridge which maybe you know has a huge Italian community developed over many years by Italian immigrants moving up from the downtown area where they started when they first arrived. I think you should maybe blog about some Italian restaurants in and around the city. Your food blogs are the best and you really seem to light up when you're filming about food in general. Gotta use Welches grape jelly and Jif creamy peanut butter. And I like mine on brioche bread. You can also butter the outer side of the bread and pan fry it in butter like a grilled cheese sandwich.
If you buy natural peanut butter like you did, you need to stir it. You use a butter knife to get down to the bottom of the jar and stir, stir, stir until no oil is left on top at all. Then you can use it and then put it in the fridge and it won’t separate again. If you buy Kraft or Skippy etc, you don’t need to stir it. Peanut butter and strawberry jam is the most common icon sandwich in Canada I would say.
Rosie, for your next PB&J, make sure you mix the oil all the way into the peanut butter first. Traditionally, we use grape jelly with it. And if you use chunky PB, you get more texture in your sandwich. If you REALLY want to go in hard, sub the jelly for Nutella and marshmallow fluff

I lived in the USA my whole life and I can confidently tell you that everyone I know is happier when they travel to their home country with family and loved ones. I know you’re from Canada, but in other countries I sense that community and family are far more important than they are in Canada/US. If that’s what’s number one in your life, I’d say definitely choose Italy. ❤

Love the videos! For the PB&J in the states many of us use the Welch’s Grape Jelly and Peanut Butters like Skippy or Jif. It tastes a ton better lol and what I do to make it 10 times better is melt some butter in a skillet and grill each side until golden brown like a grilled cheese sandwich. Not the most healthy of course lol but very good and nostalgic! Hope you try! I enjoy your videos btw 😊
Love your videos! 3 things: - no no no noooo Starbucks. There are so many great 3rd-wave cafes - there are many in Montreal, must be some in TO too, I went to Library Specialty and Milk's, they're great - go to those, and get an excellent drip coffee (no sugar or cream) to taste the best that coffee cherries can offer. Nothing beats drinking espresso while standing up in Rome, but on a daily basis, I much prefer drip coffee (with 3rd wave beans) - poutines... again, don't go to chain stores.Or better still, come to its birthplace - Quebec. You're right, there's a correct time to eat it, definitely not when you're feeling cute... more like 2am, you're slightly drunk, it's freezing outside, and you've half given up - I think PBJs taste better with toast (not really my thing either)

I did what they wanted me to and although I have a great life now, I spent my 20’s being miserable. I remember you saying something about how your family doesn’t really get your RU-vid career, and look what you have been able to accomplish with it! You seem so happy in Italy as compared to Canada. I’m Canadian,but have lived in the southern US for the past 20 years. I love Canada, but winters are very difficult. It seems maybe your breakup,although painful may be a signal that you are ready for change. As a Mom with children your age, I hope you look after yourself and don’t be too hard on yourself. Oh girl Skippy peanut butter with concord grape jelly on that kinda white bread is where it’s at. That cherry jam would’ve been good on soft French bread with almond or cashew butter. Don’t forget the cold glass of milk!🌻

I’m really sorry to hear about your breakup! I hope you are doing ok with it- I mean as much as you can. I love your videos! Where I live we use ranch dressing to dip our pizza in, and burritos(usually school food burritos or frozen), and sandwiches sometimes depending on what kind. Oh and the best peanut butter to use for a sandwich is like Peter Pan or Jif. Usually the natural peanut butters do not taste good at all in a sandwich.

Welcome to Canada 😄😄 one thing you have to try that is very Canadian is ‘La tire d’èrable’ or maple taffy in English - it’s warm maple syrup that is poured over snow to make a delicious winter treat! Also I think the butter tarts are ‘tarte au sucre’ which are mostly made of butter and sugar 😂 and please try real poutine with cheese curds *cries in Canadian*. Another big part of Canadian cuisine is that it reflects our multiculturalism. There are many people who immigrated to Canada and brought with them their delicious food. So you can find many restaurants with authentic food from around the world (we try not to ‘Americanize’ everything 😉). Plus that’s only considering Canadian food culture post-colonialization. There are many traditional First Nations, Inuit, and Métis foods to try! And it’s a great way to learn about the history of the country! Sorry for the long comment I really love talking about food (especially from Canada) 😆 happy travels!
The US is also multicultural and has a lot of immigrants, so what’s your point? Greek, Indian food, Chinese food, Japanese food, etc. are amazing in the bigger cities like San Francisco, NYC, and Chicago. You think only white people live in the US or something?
You cannot beat real Italian food, their pizza and their gelato is to die for (icecream). Got married in Riva del Garda in Lake Garda and going back next Aug to celebrate my 50th our 20th Wedding Anniversary, been with hub 32yrs, taking my girls there to finally see a bit of Italy. Tbh I've never heard of Poutine so you learn something new everyday, they do look yummy.

Not everyone in North America likes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It took me a long time to like peanut butter. I was in my 20s when I would toast my bread and then spread Jif on it with Smucker's jam. Jif mixes easily with jam or jelly. It is still not one of my favorites. I like poutin. Here in the states, we call it diner fries-french fries with gravy, minus the cheese. I've had poutin before while visiting Ontario. It's probably my age, but I don't get dipping sauce for pizza. It reminds me of how some people just love to put ranch dressing on everything. Good video Rosie!
I'm glad you said this bc others are commenting it doesn't happen in the US. It's big in the Midwest, but many chains like Dominos offer dipping sauces nationally for a reason.

Windstone Peanut butter is probably one of the most authentic peanut butter on the market. And the best part about them is the packaging is in individual packets so you can take them with you.
Rosie, for the PBJ, you need to mix the peanut butter before spreading it. Also, it’s traditionally with strawberry jam. Some people also toast the bread. Moreover, being from Québec, please note that Poutine is a Québec dish and I have not yet found a restaurant outside of Québec that makes it good. Harvey’s wouldn’t even be on my list for Poutine. You lost me there. It’s like saying the best bistecca alla Fiorentina you’ve had was in Bari!

You have to mix the peanut butter up with a knife until it is smooth with no separated oil. Next time, try a bit more peanut butter and jam. It's also really good with toasted bread.
Have you been to Montreal? It has a much more European feel than the rest of Canada or the US and I think you might like it more, even if just for a visit.
I prefer the peanut butter and jelly on crackers myself. I find that when it's with bread it's too gloopy for me, and it tends to stick around my teeth. So I put it in between two pieces of crackers instead.
Interesting food adventure. My notes as an American: 1. The Starbucks mocha latte (hot or cold) or the cold brew for hot days is the way to go! No one that I personally know gets a regular hot coffee at Starbucks, because it is terrible and overpriced. 2. Butter tart looks amazing, now I need to try one too! 3. PB&J the American way is Jif creamy peanut butter, Smuckers strawberry or grape *jelly*, and any plain white sandwich bread (or whole wheat). The "J" stands for jelly! If you can't get those brand names in Canada, stick to the store brand. Key word again is jelly (not jam or preserves). It has a highly processed taste, but it does hold fond childhood memories and school lunch feels. 4. That poutine has a crazy cheese pull omg! Looks nothing like the poutine I've had several times in Montreal where the cheese is little hard globs they call cheese curds that squeaks when you bite them. Turned me off from ever trying (Montreal) poutine again. 5. Pizza that dips is the best haha. Reminds me off Little Caesar's bread sticks (basically the pizza crust) with marinara sauce or ranch dip. Some may say gross, but I say yum 😋
