Italian Leonardo Next Generation AW249 Attack Helicopter Performed its Maiden Flight 

Anche confronto al precedente "Mangusta" , l'Apache è come un mattone che vola.. l'agilità che possiede l'americano può solo sognarla. Di contro l'Apache offre più sicurezza all'abitacolo perché più blindato.. è come un carro armato che vola ma logicamente perde in agilità e velocità. Non si può avere tutto.in Italia c'è un proverbio: "non puoi avere contemporaneamente la botte piena e la moglie ubriaca "

Im italian and i tell you is very expensive to change a war machine with another one(productions, training, logistic etc) Just upgrade the actually Ah-64 in the Ah-64D v6.5 and in future with the E variant.

The AW 129 has reached the peak of its evolution. It is too slow to support our fleet of CH47F and NH-90 and nee. Plus has not enough range. The majority of the airframes have been used extensively over the years and it is not worth it bring them back to 0 hours. I love Mangustas, but it is time to move on :)

Which di u think is better attack helicopter?ATAK and aw 249 have no chance?

@@georgiantudosie8878 I think in terms of its combat and flight performance it will undoubtedly be better than the AW249, simply because it is newer, more modern and more advanced than the T129 ATAK. This will definitely be the case. And if you meant the new T929 ATAK 2 for comparison with the AW249, then here I'm counting on parity. But Turkey has a plus, the country itself produces a very large range of high-tech military products. Therefore, the Turkish helicopter will have more options for suspended weapons. But in fact, I am now far from all this. I don't want any wars and no opportunities for real use of weapons other than exercises. I like to contemplate looking at the beautiful flight of helicopters. And for me, the A129 Mangusta and T129 ATAK look the best. Very nice helicopters.

A129 has limited capabilities in comparison to other attacks elicopter like Apache and Tiger.

Too slow and no longer suitable for modern electronic warfare platforms.

@@lucianorosarelli-xr5lr gli AW 249 saranno a livello degli Apache, considerato che il Tiger ha ormai ben 30 anni di servizio e il livello di qualità e prestazione degli AW129, non mi sembra strano che stiano considerando di acquisirlo.

Stai dicendo a uno straniero di parlare italiano solo perchè parla di un mezzo italiano.. ??

Dovresti essere contento che parla l' Inglese perché questo vuol dire che l' AW-249 è un mezzo che sta dando interesse a livello Internazionale e che c'è gente anche fuori dall' Italia che è interessata alla tecnologia italiana.

@@CriscCiaddu Ma veramente il mio timore è che finisca per essere visto più come una sorta di clone dello AH64 Apache americano ed essere qiuindi snobbato. Anche perchè di fatto l'Apache si è dimostrato il re del suo già ristretto mercato....

@@alessandrogiannini6415 Beh, se vogliamo essere precisi possiamo definirlo uno stile Occidentale più che copia. Ricordiamoci in passato quando abbiamo creato l' A-129 Mangusta per sfidare l' AH-1 Cobra Statunitense e gli Americani successivamente crearono l' Apache che veniva visto come un Mangusta con i steroidi:) L' unica cosa che l' AH-249 ha dell' Apache è la sistemazione dei Serbatoi ma in quanto motore, numero di pale, coda, Vetrata del Cockpit, postazione del sistema Optronico e cannone, cockpit interno stile F-35, capacità di sparare droni-kamikaze, sistemi EW non si assomigliano.

@@CriscCiaddu io francamente vedo un buon elicottero, oddio forse peggio del fratello turco TAI T929 ATAK 2. Ma la cosa inquietante è sempre quella mancano armamenti per l'elicottero, il turco è messo meglio. Manchiamo di missili loro hanno rocketsan, manchiamo di motori loro stanno portando avanti un discorso di costruzione interna e una "join venture" di forniture con gli ucraini. Anche li abbiamo navi ma sistemi come tomawok o kaliber non li abbiamo. Nulla di cui non si possa rimediare, ma...se vendi un elicottero non tutti i clienti hanno gli armamenti fatti in casa.... Poi sai che c'è non vorrei che finisse come con A129 non c'è lo pippa nessuno. I polacchi subito o sono interessati all' aw149 come gli inglesi salvo che tutti e due li si produca in uk e polonia. I polacchi pare abbiano comprato made in usa. Tedeschi e francesi e a ruota spagnoli non ci comprano gli elicotteri (forse i tedeschi aw149 magari un pensierino potrebbero farlo) Forse ne giriamo un po all'algeria, visto che ci compriamo il gas.

Where? It's based on the A129. It has nothing to do with the Apache. I guess American education isn't the best....
