We were suffering the same tribulations, lands of conquest and domination for foreign powers, both with a history of greatness that faded in the sands of time and both under the same foreign powers, so there was a sense of fellowship between the Italian and polish revolutionaries
He died defending the Roman Republic in 1848 against the french troops who wanted to restore power to the Pope. Sadly French won and the liberation of Italy had to wait a few more years.
@@mxnu9315 the lyrics are by Goffredo Mameli (who wrote the poem in September 1847), while the music is by Michele Novaro, a friend of Mameli who lived in Torino and to whom Mameli had immediately sent the poem to have it put in music. Mameli died in 1849 because of sepsis caused by a wound in his left leg that he had suffered during the battle that took place during the assault of Villa Corsini, during the siege of Rome. He was 21 years old.
I like Italian anthem 🎼 but i didnt know it says about Poland blood o.O 🤯 In our anthem we tell about Italian land too. Italia and Poland - Nations of Brothers 🇮🇹🇵🇱❤️
"They are rushes that bend Swords sold: Already the Eagle of Austria The pens have lost. The blood of Italy, Polish blood, Bevé, with the Cossack, But her heart burned. Let's hold on to a cohort We are ready to die Italy called" The Austria of the Habsburgs (of which the double-headed eagle was the imperial symbol) was in decline (the sold sold are the mercenary troops whose imperial ranks were full) and Mameli summoned the Italic people one last time to to give the final blow to Austrian domination with a parallelism with Poland. Between 1772 and 1795, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, along with Russia (the "Cossack") had invaded Poland. But the blood of the two oppressed peoples, the Italian and the Polish, can turn into poison through the uprising against the foreign oppressor.
@@jezuzdagangzta5313 non è cantato al giorno d'oggi perché sarebbe troppo lungo e offensivo per circa mezza Europa, ovvero Germania, Francia, Austria e Russia
The guy who wrote this antem, Goffredo Mameli, actually died at age 21 in the battle to liberate Rome. When he wrote "we are ready to die", he really meant it.
I am Italian and I love Poland! I have been there and people are very nice and kind, Polish history is very interesting and you have a wonderful culture! ❤
Your anthem is really beautiful! Also what's wholesome is that Italian anthem mentions Poland and Polish anthem mentions Italy. Kind of like friends! 🇮🇹🇵🇱 Best wishes! from Poland
@@tourzrap no, the current Polish anthem was composed during a time when polish troops were stationed in Italy in 1797. The song was also performed for the first time in an Italian city called Reggio nell’Emilia. The Italian anthem was composed about 50 years later when it was the Italians fighting for their independence. The biggest enemy of Italy at that time was Austria which so it happens took part in the partitions of Poland so it was kind of a roast really :DD
Italy and Poland United! Già l'Aquila d'Austria Le penne ha perdute. Il sangue d'Italia E il sangue Polacco Bevé, col Cosacco, Ma il cor le bruciò. Marsz, marsz, Dabrowski, Z ziemi wloskiej do Polski, Za twoim przewodem Zlaczym sie z narodem.
@Your man come home? That would be Scotland then, as we invented football. But yeah you guys rubber stamped it and called it your own, Course you did. Typical England And yeah see how many countries are supporting Italy. Says enough Best of luck Italy for tmrw 🤞🇮🇹
@Your man Not at all my friend, what England done was the norm for them, they took it, stamped it up and called it their own. We're all used to them doing that with most things anyway as you will be well aware of yourself I'm sure 👍
I'm from Ghana... never been to Italy but I love this anthem just because the Italians silenced the Brits in the 2020 Euro Cup Finals. Italy fought its way to the trophy. Vamos Italia
Italian must be proud to have this anthem. Best in my opinion. And congratulazzioni to EURO2021, Viva Italia. Disrespectful England finally kneeling :-) Respect from Republica Ceca
Grande Polonia. Great Nation Poland. With a Great history of Power and defiance. Amid great empiral Powers to the East and west Always fighting for its survival with courage and strenght. Polski Husaria was a Great example of polish prowess in battle
I think the same of poles. Poland was Always attacked from many neighbouring countries and superpowers but Always stood undefied and proud. A Life of struggle but Always ended up.winning. Un Caro Abbraccio. A Great Hugh to Poland
from the polish people in the comments i think poland is my fav country now, greetings, puglia. Thanks for the kindness you too, gonna listen to poland anthem rq hehe
@@uncanalechenonprende9567 I never knew Italian anthem mentioned Poland in it as well! And we both do so as friends, not enemies. Really cool:) Always loved Italy, gorgeous country :)

Fun Fact: the (Aperol) Spritz originates from Venice at the time when the austrian empire ruled the region and the austrian soldiers stationed there found that the italian wine was too strong for them so they always asked for water to be splashed into their wine to make it lighter. They called it Spritzer and the Italians liked the wine mixed with water as well so that's where the austrian word "Spritzer" which means sparkling (or splashing) comes from
Its generally a bad idea to post your opinion on the internet for everybody to see, because people are going to disagree with you. I, for example, like the american anthem. Do i think its the best anthem out of every anthem ever? No, the Imperial March is. People are different. They like different things. To you, this may be the best anthem ever. To others? Not really. Maybe you should revise your comment to something like "This is my favorite anthem out of all of them." or something like that.
@@montypigofthedoodleclan8659 It's always understood any statement is a personal opinion only. No need to get butthurt and write "fuck you" like that other guy.
Bellissima. Di senso profondo. Dobbiamo essere più orgogliosi del nostro popolo e amare di più la nostra Patria meravigliosa. Abbiamo tutto e potremmo essere davvero grandi e stare bene. Mi si riempie il cuore con il nostro inno.
Que hermos y poderoso, How beautiful and powerful. This is incredible and pure music for the heart. Greeting and Blessings from your Mexican cousins! Saludos y bendiciones a nuestros hermanos Italianos desde mexico !
Those kids going on the field with Italy`s players are the luckiest people ever. Imagine having this anthem screamed into your ears by Buffon and Chiellini. Best anthem ever.
This anthem has it all: Cherished historial events. A future of glorious potential. "Together we can rise to any occasion and best all who oppose us" sentiment. Catchy tune which encompasses & marries, in broad tempo variation, both sedate pageantry & passion-stirring gusto. The repeated "cohort" section rising each time from conspitatorial sotto voce to ardent declarative roar .... Oh, to be Italian and know this plays for you .... Best ever!
Thanks for your input in both posts. I'm Polish And I'm surprised of how the Italian anthem is good. First I thought the polish anthem was best , then Chinese anthem , THEN Australian anthem, and now this is my favourite anthem .

Sure, here is the information about the Italian invasion of Libya in short: * Italy invaded Libya in 1911 for economic and strategic reasons. * The war lasted for two years and resulted in the deaths of about 80,000 to 100,000 Libyans and 5,000 Italians. * The Italians used brutal methods to suppress the Libyan resistance, including aerial bombardment, concentration camps, and public executions. * The war left a legacy of bitterness and resentment that continues to this day. Here are some key points: * The Italian invasion of Libya was a major turning point in Italian history. * The war marked the beginning of Italy's colonial rule in Libya, which lasted until 1943. * The war also left a legacy of bitterness and resentment that continues to this day. We will take revenge from you Italy one day. Keep It in mind. You treated very dirt way immigrants and some weeks ago more than 700 people were killed in a way of Italy. Your country don't help them
Went to Italy for our holidays 16 years running.Loved every one, great people, beautiful scenery and weather. We only went to the beach once, spent the time sight seeing on local buses.
I am Italian and I had no idea there were additional verses to the anthem! They only taught us the first part (plus chorus), very interesting, thanks for sharing!
That's the toughest national anthem in the world, you listen to all other anthems and your quick to block your ears. It just has that vibe of go out there and attack.
