Hi Manu -- I'm a member of your program and I love to watch the videos. I haven't read every comment here because there are so many, but I do have a tip if you don't mind. For English speakers, tell them that Sapere means "to know how to do something." That is incredibly common in English and everyone would understand. Every English speaker knows that when someone asks "Do you know how to drive a car?" they're really asking "Can you drive a car?" which is the idea of that meaning, right? I'm just suggesting that you incorporate the phrase "know how to" in your explanation of that meaning of the verb Sapere. Any English speaker will relate. Hope I haven't overstepped. JUST SAW THE REST OF VIDEO AND YOU SAID IT. i STILL THINK THAT YOU SHOULD LEAD WITH THE AND CONCENTRATE ON IT TO MAKE IT SIMPLER AND CLEARER.

Ora so sie fatti sul verbo “sapere.” Ho sapato che sei modi diversi usare il verbo “sapere.” Ora so parlare più chiaramente. It is possible to use the Subjunctive Mood but we do not do it! Usually we use the Indicativo because it is the way to tell something for certain... and "mi sa che" means "I think that..." 😊
I use various forms of online learning tools to learn Italian. I am learning Italian but the more in depth I go the harder it is. It's kind of discouraging a bit because it seems there is SO much to know. Learning to speak Spanish was a breeze compared to Italian. I never studied Spanish for one minute. I learned by immersing myself in the language and culture and I'm trying to do the same thing with Italian.
Don’t get discouraged! Advanced levels may seem complex, but practicing the Italian language , helping you by watching movies, listening to music or reading some text will become more and more familiar. We also advise, if it's possible, to speak with native Italians 😊
@@italymadeeasy I currently follow 5 or 6 cooking channels on RU-vid and Italian lessons that are all in Italian. I find it fun to listen to them speak and I get to learn to be a better cook. I wish I had someone who I could chat with. I know that would be very helpful. I understand far more than I speak. You are an amazing teacher and have helped me greatly.
This is so interesting! I remembered from high school the meanings "to know (as in facts)" and the meaning "to have skills" but the finding out, tasting like, smelling like and thinking seem new to me. Mi sa che ho dimenticato molto....... (sorry that sentence is probably awful!)
Dipende dalla frase e dal contesto il tempo da usare. Per esempio io posso dire "mi sa che domani andrò al cinema" e quindi uso il futuro... Se parlo al tempo presente, è possibile usare sia l?indicativo che il Congiuntivo... ma in realtà il Congiuntivo non lo usiamo mai! Solitamente usiamo l'Indicativo perché è il modo verbale con cui esprimiamo la certezza: "mi sa che" è un modo di introdurre quel che noi pensiamo "quasi per certo", per questo usiamo l'Indicativo 😊
Nel parlato sono talvolta usati come sinonimi... ma se dici "ho saputo" significa che qualcuno ti ha raccontato qualcosa (un segreto ma anche una semplice notizia). Se dici "ho scoperto" può voler anche dire che hai saputo qualcosa di veramente segreto, qualcosa che non era facile sapere! 😉
Well... "Mi sa che..." means "I think that" and I'm quite sure (maybe not completely but quite) about it... while when you say "I guess" it means that you are estimating something without knowledge, so you are just hypothesizing something... something like "I suppose, but I'm not sure". 😊
Per questo motivo quando parliamo inglese noi Italiani ci sentiamo come frenati perché la lingua inglese non ha elasticità non ha parole o frasi per esprimere le proprie emozioni o pensieri su ogni aspetto della vita noi ne usiamo addirittura 4 o 5 pur di comunicare con esattezza ciò che sentiamo ,una stessa cosa e addirittura il nome cambia in base alla regione di provenienza. Dovrebbero comunicare meno con la faccia .Anche perché se noi Italiani gesticoliamo molto, loro quando vogliono comunicare qualcosa di emotivo non usano ne i gesti ne le parole ma iniziano a muovere gli occhi a destra a sinistra ,stringono le labbra e abbassano le sopracciglia in modo davvero buffo a me fanno molto ridere e poi sgranano gli occhi e iniziano a scuotere la testa a seconda se la cosa gli piace o no! sembro io quando sono al gabinetto ed ho mangiato fagioli a pranzo ! yes i do 😂
Bonjour Manu et à toute la communauté. J’adore l’Italie et j’adorerais parler l’italien couramment. J’aime beaucoup cette chaîne même si je suis complètement larguée. C’est le cas de le dire et vous allez comprendre pourquoi dans un instant. Voilà, donc j’ai pris le train en marche et ne parlant pas un seul mot d’italien ( je suis française ), forcément c’est pas facile de suivre le mouv’. Ce n’est ni le lieu ni l’endroit mais j’aimerais savoir quelle serait l’expression fétiche ( en italien ) pour se réconcilier avec son compagnon italien remonté comme une pendule ? Un paquet de temps que ça dure et pourtant on s’entend « comme 2 larrons en foire », du coup ça ne me vient même pas à l’idée d’en parler au passé ( en mode mon ex ) parce que j’y crois. J’ai déjà tout essayé, il ne décolère pas. Je vous rassure, il ne s’agit pas d’adultère. Manu help ! Une petite bouteille à la mer donc...

J’en ai croisé des paquets d’italiens et italiennes à Paris depuis cette histoire mais sans avoir le courage d’oser leur poser la question directement, de peur que ce soit mal interprété. D’ailleurs, j’en avais jamais un seul avant de rencontrer mon chéri. Et depuis, j’en croise quasiment tous les jours, comme par magie. Bref ! Je finissais par me dire qu’il ne me reste plus qu’à aller voir le Pape à Rome. Lol 😂 . Non mais, sérieusement sans rire... Je vais donc suivre cette piste que tu m’as recommandée. Non è necessario usare il congiuntivo quando si usa "mi sa che..."? Per esempio "Mi sa che tu abbia torto"? Abbiamo due soggetti diversi, usiamo il "che" per introdurre la seconda frase ed si esprime una opinione/incertezza. Sa di congiuntivo!
