Thanks! It’s a solution of food citric acid. I use flux when annealing to protect the silver from excess oxidation and citric acid cleans the flux well and whitens the silver. But if you do not use flux, then there is no need to boil in citric acid. I do this because I'm so used to working with silver and gold jewelry and I can tell it's such a culture of production!
