Coin Rings Magic! This is very long video. If you have the patience to watch 15 minutes video, you can see how I recently did a three ring out of coins. It was the Austrian 50 schilling, French 5 francs and the Ukrainian 1 hryvnia. Francs and Schillings is the silver coins. Rings out of these coins are very beautiful and amazing!
Do you want something like this? Welcome to my online store! coinringsstudio.etsy.com
Many people ask about the liquid in which I blackening ring. This is solution of sulfuric liver. You can do it yourself or buy at Amazon amzn.to/25Og1NP or amzn.to/28odJnl or something similar

Beautiful work brother, I hope to buy the equipment soon to try my hand at this craft. There's something about it that looks like real art to me.

Very nice work, CRS...some of the nicest final finishing I've seen. It's nice to see your highliting efforts on coins you can't easily blacken, as with non-silver of the 3 done here. Really good camera work and editing work, as well. Consider me a subscriber. Thanks.

What kind of wheel are you polishing the rings with. It's the wheel at the end of the process. And do you use a wax on your coins to protect the patina?

Ustam, ben başka ustaların yüzük yapımların videolarını izledim, videoyu bitirmeden kapattım onlar tamamen ilkel şartlarda yüzük malzemelerini deforme ederek yapmaya çalışıyorlar, siz tamamen teknolojik imkanlarla paraları yüzük yapıyorsun vede para üstündeki kabartılmış objelere zarar vermeden, sizin videoları izlemekten zevk alıyorum.

I noticed it seemed like you barely used the ring sizer. Any alternatives to that other than a mandril? I'm on an extremely tight budget trying to find tools for this so saving funds is a must. Also, beautiful rings! I want to get these coins for future projects! My favorite is the Austrian one!

Hi. What kind of press are using at 5:30 sec u are using a red press aftrr right the ring stretcher? And is your ring stretcher or a generic brass from India or Asia? As Iam thinkin of gettin one of these too and would like to know your thoughts on them
@CoinRingsStudio
@CoinRingsStudio 5 лет назад
Press on 5:30 is a screw press. It is very old, very massive, very powerful and very convenient to use. This press is 50 years old (or more, I don’t know for sure), my father bought it many years ago and I don’t even know where. My rings stretcher made in Ukraine, but before that I used which was made in India. Normal quality, but I damaged it when I made a lot of rings of steel coins. I don't recommend using steel coins for making rings at all. They are tool killers!)

I made this tool myself from the triangular file (it looks like this: amzn.to/2B3wpzB ) Also for removing edge you can use this tool: amzn.to/2B4eAAo

I see on your web site you use British 2p coins I have been practising with the older 2p pre 1992 being made of bronze which is much easier to work with. did you have much difficulty with the newer steel 2 pence coins.
@CoinRingsStudio
@CoinRingsStudio 8 лет назад
I had no difficulties with British 2p after 1992. Yes, these coins harder, but this is normal for making ring. I also very don't like Italian 100 lire. It is very hard coin. The real killer of my tools!))

I notice that you are using cloth pieces in the dapping block. Is that so the coin won't shift or to prevent marring? Thanks for the excellent video. I am learning a bit more each day.
@CoinRingsStudio
@CoinRingsStudio 8 лет назад
cloth pieces protects relief of the coin from damage by metall tolls. Also you can use plastic balls and plastic dapping block. But I like a piece of cloth)

Thanks for replying. On another note, I just a rude awakening when using the pvc technique to size the coin (I do not have a sizer so I have been inching the coin down a mandrel utilizing a pvc pipe). When I removed the coin from the mandrel I noted a nasty gouge all the way around the ring which was created by the pvc. That method is now off my list!

Hello. First of all Sincere congratulations for your skill !. and of course for your videos. By the way, since I have a lot of passion for rings, I wanted to know if it was possible to buy a Complete Kit for the Manufacture, just like you craftsmen do, obviously without spending an exaggeration! That they are of quality and excellent durability! A dear greeting from Italy. Sincerely. Luca

I cannot answer exactly where I got all these tools and equipment. Before I started making rings from coins, I worked as a jeweler for many years and over the years I have accumulated a lot of different equipment, which were acquired at different times and in different places. In other words, I came into this craft already with the equipment. Therefore, in this regard, it was easier for me. You can buy all the necessary tools and equipment, but be prepared to spend at least 1000 Euro. This is just for starters. I did not calculate with accuracy how much it might cost, this is just an approximate amount.

It's the roughness of the sand paper. Its usually printed on the back of the sand paper we have in the U.S.A. would this help? який пісок паперу з піску ви використовуєте перед тим, як полірувати?

Slava..... My Friend what grit sand paper are you using for finnishing?
@CoinRingsStudio
@CoinRingsStudio 5 лет назад
Honestly, I don’t know what exactly grit is. I buy sandpaper just by feeling to the touch. For finishing I use sandpaper of the smallest granularity or used sandpaper. And sometimes it is even not a sandpaper! Dishwashing sponge (rough side) works very well for soft processing)

Здравствуйте!А что это за раствор который осветлил кольца?
@CoinRingsStudio
@CoinRingsStudio 7 лет назад

Why use the doming block in stead of the reducing dies?

In principle there is no difference but sometimes the doming block is more convenient for me ..

I had the same question regarding what looked to be like black die the rings were soaked in to give them the darker backdrop and contrast from the stamped lettering after polishing. Anyone know - I'm new to the hobby.

This is solution of "sulfuric liver". I do this out of soda and sulfur. But you can buy it on Amazon or Ebay. For example this: amzn.to/28odJnl or something similar

Thanks for the tip! I purchased the same ring sizer you have and should have everything else within the week to start tinkering with the hobby. I've subscribed, keep those tutorials coming in and thanks for sharing.

@PatriotCoinRings
@PatriotCoinRings 7 лет назад
+Trinh Nguyễn Are you saying you use soda and sulfer or are you asking? I'm not impressed with giving an otherwise beautiful coin a yellow or tarnished look as it brings the coin down in value but if you know how to "rainbow color" the coin, that brings it up in value (the reason I ended up on this page).

steel ball bearings are a no no!
@CoinRingsStudio
@CoinRingsStudio 7 лет назад
I used plastic balls and steel balls. Ball affects only the inner edge of the hole, which then processed and polished. And I did not notice the difference! Even for Morgan Dollars and other coins minted from soft metal. Therefore I prefer the steel balls. But lately I've been use different cones instead of balls. Steel, plastic and wooden cones. BTW, I have signed for your instagram) You make a very beautiful photo!
