No Alfa Romeo bad talk unless you are an owner or past owner that have experienced it for yourself. I don't care what you heard for read as it's gossip. Got a 21 Stelvio with 91K miles on it as I use it for my daily and have not had one single problem with it. All I've done was oil changes, tires and brakes. Vehicle is very reliable, quick and still turn heads. The 2024 has the new lights and digital dash which gives it a little perk.

Well said. The amount of ignorance being spouted against this brand is absurd.

I agree it depends on personal experience and you're not the only one I've heard say that they don't cause problems even at close to 100k miles I don't think they are a bullet proof lexus but I don't think they are as bad as people say I'm thinking of getting one in a few years they look and perform well and are one of the few suvs that I kind of like.

I’ve heard of many people switching from German cars to Alfas for their dynamics, even if reliability is questionable. Alfa’s CEO even said recently that their customers didn’t want big screens and even mentioned Mercedes’ EQ screen applications, saying that they will never do something like that and instead will stick to a traditional interior as they do now for all of their newer cars. I respect them greatly for that.
@aritruths1452

Owner here and the screen is good enough. I don't need a big screen, it's overbearing. Alfa is about the driving dynamics and not screens.

I WISH EVERYONE WOULD STOP WITH THE NONSENSE RELIABILITY CLICHE....HAVE YOU EVER OWNED A GERMAN CAR ??? These cars are BULLET PROOF !! M 3 Subframe Cracks M 5 Rod Bearing Failures 911 IMS Bearing Failures When a German car CRAPS OUT it's "Over Engineered"...when it happens to an Italian car it's "Unreliable"....this isn't 1975 with Alfetta GTs two piece head gaskets !!! ENOUGH WITH THE BS...PEACE OUT DAWGS

Here's another point of view. I've decided to buy mine (Veloce) in 2021. I have no problems with Italian cars reliability, in fact it's the opposite, I've been driving mostly Italian cars for the past 40 years. And because this is a car to keep for as long as possible for those like me that enjoy driving and have a bit of a petrol head mindset. This would probably be the last 100% ICE from the brand ...and one of the last 100% ICE from the industry. Its dynamics are better than many non SUV vehicles due to the engineering behind (full aluminum engine and suspension, body mostly made of aluminum as well, carbon fiber drive shaft, engine seats behind the front axle for 50/50 weight distribution, very direct Ackerman geometry steering, etc.). it's a pleasure to drive, fast or slow. It brings me a smile every single day. This car is that good! My next car will have to be electric or at least hybrid. That's a certainty so, no leasing, no renting, I want this one for as long as possible.
@frumpd63
@frumpd63 Год назад
The people who worship Japanese refrigerator-vehicles will not understand Giulia / Stelvio. I owned one for five years and it was the best by far of the many vehicles I've owned. Only sold to go electric and miss the Alfa sport seats, gorgeous paint, superb ride quality and driving dynamics every day. Way better than the Germans.

I'll echo most of the other owners here, I have this car and it's surprisingly well put together and reliable. Handling blows the competition out of the water and despite what looks like a high MSRP, you can get killer deals on these cars.

I have a 2019 Stelvio with only 27,000 miles Love the vehicle no problems once I changed the Battery with an AGM. At 4 1/2 years old I was considering a new one but there is not a whole lot of improvements. I considered the Maserati Grecale, but it was the Stelvio with a few added bells and whistles for 20,000 more and those "Buick Portholes" so I discounted that. The Tonale might have done it but I live and park in a high rise garage and don't have an outlet to plug in at night. After watching the above I am going to keep my 2019 spend a few thousand in maintenance. I also have the Mopar extended warranty for major problems. Thank you Kirk for helping me make a decision.

The Tonale is great, but it's a segment below the Stelvio and it shows on how they both ride and how isolated we feel from the exterior. The Stelvio is very good at this. Dynamically they don't compare. I'm not talking about acceleration, I'm talking about the way they drive. The Tonale is not built over the Giorgio platform, it doesn't have the superb Stelvio suspension nor its very direct Ackerman steering and, despite being smaller, weighs just as much as one could expect.

People don't want to buy an Alfa because don't like their US sales network? Ok, I understand that; don't want because the infotainment doesn't match up the competitors? 100% true, I understand even this; They (simply) prefer Bmw or another brand? Totally acceptable; What I cannot understand and be agree instead is this BS (written by people who in 99% of cases never owned an Alfa) who I always read regarding this supposed unreliability: Alfa Romeo never had any reliability problems (not more than any brand, Germans included). I'm tired of reading this sort of "fairy tale" under every Alfa Romeo video, it would be time to talk about what one knows and not by hearsay.
