It's quite precious to see the three of you being spellbound by Angelina :D Loved that. Next - try her original "Million Miles", she released a live studio version in black and white of that after she turned 15. Or if you're up for another super nice cover, do "All I Ask", originally by Adele. These are both excellent, and really shows how far Angelina has come since "I Put A Spell On You". Or if you want to move even further back, she did "Summertime" in the "Norway's Got Talent" show, which she won at 7 years of age by a landslide. Angelina was 9 years old in this video. This was her own arrangement paying tribute to the original artist Screamin Jay Hawkins. Many people don’t know that Sreamin Jay Hawkins was a boxing champ. He joined the army at age 13 using forged ID. He was a formidable opponent in the army and later in the airforce boxing circuits. He won several boxing golden glove awards mostly in his hometown of Cleveland. In 1949 he won Alaska’s middleweight title. 9 years old Angelina Jordan just delivered him a TKO. #AngelinaJordan began studio work training at the music academie in Oslo when she was six. Here at nine she hands the production director score change notes. The musicians who were invited to participate were not quite sure what to expect. But at the finished product they realized that something very special had happened. They call her "The Boss". Try listening to her to originals that she just put out this year million miles in seventh heaven try the seventh heaven in the studio version. That is why her child hood dream and desire was and has been to sing for the entire world. She somehow knew from the start of her life what her mission in life was, and she has not wavered from it . .She is a rare gift to the world!! Thanks for a great reaction. Angelina needs a separate dictionary with special words to describe her and what she does! It is truly a conundrum when we try to rationalize how it is possible that this tiny sweet-faced 9yo Norwegian girl can step up to microphone, flip some switch within her, become this "beast-mode" version of herself (most probably named "AJ don't play"), deliver an extraordinary and musically and socially sophisticated performance, then just-like-that return to the pensive young lady once again... There just aren't words for this! "I Put a Spell On You" has been covered many times and is recognized as a jazz classic, yet almost never is the tone of the original 1956 "Screamin" Jay Hawkins version captured. This is because Hawkins was the original shock rock guy (think Ozzy Osbourne type craziness) and his style is difficult to emulate and also because his dated delivery is uncomfortable and stereotypical to our modern sensibilities. Yet Angelina respectfully sings his own song in a manner that exceeds his (Hawkin's image is on the candle she holds at the start of her video). She starts low, rising in intensity throughout and finishes in an unexpected and practically operatic style. You must go and listen to Hawkins' original (and throw in a couple of "famous" covers as well) to see the true genius in how AJ incorporates many of his vocal elements [usually omitted by most singers]. This shows another aspect of her musical IQ and arranging genius (not to mention her masterful control of her vocal instrument equaled by few others regardless of age). I could tell Simi and Roxy were reacting to the sounds, and both obviously were shocked and pleased. For Simi, she joins 90% of the reactors who have this "What-?!!" look on their faces as hearing just the first 2 lines. And after the Scream-Screech Moment, her eyes bulged in disblief like most of AJ's fans did they first heard this.

Let’s analyze the video: 1st you see how small and cute she is. 2nd you see she is barefoot (story below) 3rd You see her making her “list of suggested changes” to the song. 4th the band leader taking note of the changes. 5th Angelina is holding a candle with “Screemin’ Jay Hawkin’s (original artist 1956) picture on it. 6th the old soul in her voice. She is the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina wrote and her Grandmother illustrated a book about why she sings barefoot. She was on a trip to Iran where her grandmother is from and met a street girl weighing people for money. Angelina sat and talk with the girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, a Doctor but that it could never happen. Angelina told her to never give up hope. The girl complimented Angelina on her shoes and Angelina noticed her scarred bare feet so she gave them to her, and the little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina sings barefoot to this day to remind the world that there are still children in need. All book proceeds go to charity.

"FEELING GOOD", Live on the Stream Gir Tilbake at 10 years old truly shows her extraordinary skills in a live televised broadcast in Norway with an incredible jazz band. After that you can be more amazed with each and every song Angelina performs from 6 years old to now 15 years old. It's a rare treat to see the growth through the years. Good reaction! There are so many more to check out. Norway's Got Talent at 7/8 includes two Billie Holiday jazz songs, Bang, Bang, and Gershwin's Summertime. Feeling Good at 10 is great. Many others at this age. Adele covers are more emotional than Adele (her latest at 15 is All I Ask). Rhianna, Miley, Lana del Rey on and on.. Also, Michael Jackson's Heal The World is most recent. I am one of the many addicted followers...they must be in every part of the world by now ;-) The fact that I am listening with excitement to your reaction in original Italian language probably shows how addicted we are.....ultimately I refuse to accept that Angelina is not known globally in comparison to many so called "stars" who cannot even sing very well. We as her fans will hopefully help to support Angelina in this aspect. I personally, like you, have never seen/heard anything like her - a generational talent for sure ! I recommend that you look up Screaming Jay Hawkin's original version of this song. THAT is what Angelina is paying tribute to (not Nina Simone's version) - a rather bizarre and farcical number that this little kid transforms into a world-class performance. Mind you, she was apparently "primus motor" in all the arrangements, the notes she is making at the beginning were her final "wishes" regarding the arrangement, the ones the musical director looks at - and smiles!

The original was sung by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. 1956. His face is on the candle that Angelina is holding at the beginning of the video. She requested that it be filmed in black and white - like the original. You can see her making HER arrangements and giving them to the director. These arrangements, her very own, are called her 'wishes' by the musicians, even though they know that she is the boss and will insist on it. She is unique, which is the least that can be said about her.
