We always stay at least a week in each little place we visit. It even that short amount of time gives you a chance to meet local folks. We usually stay around 6 weeks each country we visit. It’s incredible. We are very blessed with wonderful travel memories. But we’ve never taken a cooking class! Brilliant idea!

I remember watching you guys years ago when you were just starting out and I was on a mission to sell up in Canada and travel. We did just that and this year we travelled from Mexico back to Canada in our camper van and then this fall we spent six weeks in Sicily. It has been an amazing 3 years. Currently we are spending Christmas in London:) I wanted to thank you for the inspiration and wish you both a Merry Christmas!

We lived in Germany, not far from Cologne. In our neck of the woods, archeologists were uncovering Roman ruins. In Cologne, when you stand in front of the Cathedral to the right there is the Roemisch/Germanische Museum. The Romans had heated floors in winter! Their baths were very similar to ours today. Amazing!

Lived in Sicily when stationed there in the Navy, totally emerging yourself is an amazing perspective on different ways of living. Loved watching your adventures when back in the states and now in Italy. Ciao

this is dated, but my "sis" and her husband were military, hence Navy. They were in the states but transferred to Italy, they cried prior to departing and arriving. Obviously, everything is very "condensed" verses the states...one year later they were in love with the region. It provided many experiences relating to Italy and beyond! They traveled Europe extensively, and their two children were educated in Italy. Following 10 years app. they were transferred to Virginia Beach. My "sis" had collected so much "STUFF" it was an issue when the Navy moved back to the states, Lol. BUT they cried leaving Italy, and all their friends, they wanted to stay/remain and always reflected on their lives in Italy...

So wonderful to see you appreciating great REAL EVOO!!! Not every Italian olive oil is great, just as not every French Cabernet is great. I work for a specialty shop that only sells oils like you enjoyed: fresh, authentic and sourced from the best growers and regions around the world and not as expensive as you might think when compared to the rancid junk we get in grocery store and some “gourmet” markets! So glad you had the chance to experience the real thing!!! Abbondanza!!$

Great video! I visited a "Mom & Pop" olive oil factory (?) in Sicily in the late 80's, It wasn't nearly as sophisticated as this one, but the experience is one of my favorite memories. I never got to visit mainland Italy except from the airport in Rome. But Sicily was one of neatest places I have ever visited. The people, the history, the FOOD was beyond description. Y'all are having a blast...keep on keeping on.

A good Christmas seasonal topic is the xmas meals that some RV parks provide. I was surprises to see this when traveling and enjoyed the meal and camaraderie very much. it was nice for the RV park owners to put this on. Regards. Steve D.

Amazing video, ya'll. This absolutely seems like the vacation that you don't want to end and have to go home. It's terrific that ya'll are able to be there long enough to get past the tourist stuff and actually see the area for what it is. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels. Hey Phil - from a fellow red wine drinker - welcome to the club! Just FYI - just this week my doc was telling me that drinking red wine daily lowers my chance for heart attack! In essence he 'prescribed' my evening cabernet! And it's lower carbs than beer! Win - win - win.....

Did you try & buy some Lemoncello ? Keep it in fridge or freezer. I stock it in the cold side of wine fridge. Cheers for trying the wine Phil . We brought 2 cases back& will order more.

I'm not sure that cooking class was any good. There used to be a billboard around Rainbow Springs FL that said "Tiny says never trust a skinny cook". Just sayin'. I couldn't agree more that staying in a place for more that a few days is the best way to get to know a place. In our travels we try and stay at least a month, but we've also found that sometimes you need to do your research to make sure there is stuff to do in the area. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

We go to Italy every September. Fact= We always lose weight as everything is fresh...no preservatives. Check out ham in US stores...even best has chemicals. Italy...never. Thanks for sharing.

Weirdest thing, I am at an RV resort in Southern California, just took the dog for a walk and I see a Tiffin class A + Jeep Cherokee at a site and they have a sign up "today is someday" with their names on it. The Jeep is grey and the rig is a Phaeton. So come here to check and its not you, but someone using the same name with similar stuff. Weird!

The first time I visited Italy I was told to look the other way when you cross that way if someone hits you its their fault. LOL I was never that brave the traffic is crazy.

I'm no camera expert but it seems like your white balance or something might be off, all the videos are super bright or gray looking great video though, I have really enjoyed your time in Italy. Immersing yourself in the culture seemed like the way to go versus driving all over the country

Color may be completely off. We are using a gopro most of the time so white balance is iffy all the time!

I've only had olive oil on rare occasions. To me it had no taste/flavor. Like eating cooking oil.

Sadly, that’s what most of the olive oil imported into the US tastes like… not much. The real thing is very different and like wine grapes, each type of oil has its own flavor profile, from buttery smooth to gosh-darn spicy!
