This was not your typical day of going out for coffee and pastries in a typical Italian town. Sure, it started just like one, but then it turned into an interesting morning of learning how a SMALL ITALIAN VILLAGE was touched by America during World War II
Come along with me and my family and visit Campomarino in the beautiful Italian Region of Molise.
Newly Found Friends, Italian hospitality and Village life, what else can you ask for on a Saturday Morning?

A beautiful story. Thank you for bringing this to us. I am always surprised and saddened when I see and hear people discriminating against others based on race or skin colour. We are all human and embracing difference brings colour and interest into our lives. I can understand why these young men are so proud of their town and it's history.

I love how passionate and eager they are to share their knowledge. Growing up on the west coast of America, we were never taught about the Tuskegee airmen. Such an important role they played, and I look forward to learning more from Marco's book. Thank you for sharing. Lovely people and your neighbors pasta dish looked yummy.

Oh Fiorella, ❤ what are great vlog. I so enjoyed this learned so much and now I'm thinking my father was Albanian and my mom was Neapolitan. And I have a feeling not a feeling I know that the Scura is somewhere around where I'm thinking of moving. Oh my goodness can you imagine I can find them. Keep my last name in your head in case you come across my family.❤😅 Thank you again so much for this great video your husband was having the time of his life it's just wonderful.❤

Fiorella, it’s a beautiful vlog! Thank you for making it. The place in Alabama is pronounced: tusk - KEE - gee. (like the ivory on an elephant, like the English word “key,” and like the Indian clarified butter “ghee.” The G is hard, like “go,” or “get.” You are such a talented linguist, with your command of Spanish, Italian, Australian English, and American English-and probably British English also! Tuskegee is a Native American word … I think from the Creek Confederation of tribes; so now you know another language. The Tuskegee Airmen were treated less than human because of their color! Many of them lived shorter lives than they should have, because of the medical experiments that were done to them without their knowledge or consent!

Thank you for sharing this story! As an american, I have heard of the Red Tails, but I didn't know this part of the story. I will definitely have to head down to Campomarino when I am next in Italy.

My uncle was in the Army and in charge of African American troops. They were in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a kind man without prejudice.
