So here I am opening up and finally sharing why I quit the corporate career I had worked so hard to build since I arrived in Australia.
Why on earth would this crazy woman QUIT a
6 Figure Paying CORPORATE JOB in a growing industry with perks and the possibility for further career progression?

Thank you for this open, honest video! I am currently at a point in my life where I'm feeling desperate to leave America, to make my dreams of living in Italy come true. It's been too many years of dreaming and not enough of doing. Your perspective is very helpful!

Aww Fiorella your video came at the most critical moments of my life when I have to make an important decision in my life at age 61 , " do I stay where my 2 adult children are living or do I move to Italy alone "? I know that nowhere is PERFECT and I also know myself better than anybody else. I don't compare myself with anyone and I follow the herds , I just trust my heart . ❤🙏💝💐♥️ for your Videos

Such an interesting video. You were right to follow your heart. I was stuck in corporate jobs for years and hated every second of it. Just to keep going I ate badly and drank about 12 cups of coffee a day. I had to commute 2 hours each way each day and was too tired to do anything else at the end of the week. Eventually my health gave out and, to cut a long story short (kind-of), I had to give up work whether I liked it or not. Not quitting when I should have, not taking chances and following some of my dreams, has ultimately rendered me, due to health problems, unable to even pursue those dreams. Follow your heart and good luck to you both.

Hello Fiorella - I just subscribed and liked your very honest true-blue vlogs about Italy. All of my grandparents immigrated from Italy, and I grew up in a household that was very Italian. My mother and father spoke to each other in Italian so that me and my younger brother, Luigi, wouldn't know what they were saying. Cooking was every day and holidays always a big family gathering and special foods. The way you present simple activities like shopping or just walking around is very enjoyable, engrossing and informative. My wife, Nancy, and I look forward each evening after dinner to tuning in to one of your vlogs. We hope you continue to make many more of them. All the best of health and happiness to you and Aden and your family. I love your story of preferring the home-made basket as being more valuable than having lots of money. I migliori saluti a te- Mario & Nancy

This was such a poignant video. The best decisions are the ones we make for ourselves after experience and much evaluation. I left teaching a year before I was supposed to. My income was cut down to one third of my previous income. It was the best decision of my life. I felt lighter in my soul. Thanks for sharing, Fiorella!

Love your videos, I guess many people wish for a different life but for whatever reason it doesn’t happen. Good on you for making yours happen and what a country Italy is. I’ve been there for a few holidays & absolutely love it & always can’t wait to get back there. All the best to both of you.

Thank you, Fiorella for your beautiful story. I'm sure you don't remember me, but my wife, Rosina was born in Molise near Compobasso. It's wonderful to see the similarities between your life and my wife's. In California, Rosina worked for a medical device company that sold to Columbia, just to name a few. She frequently travelled there to visit doctors, respiratory therapists and distributors. She always came home with wonderful stories about the warm people of Columbia. She too was caught up in the well paying job where the company was never satisfied with making more and more at the expense of its employees. Thankfully, she was finally able to retire and leave the madness behind. It is gratifying to see you were able to leave the corporate world behind you at a much younger age than we are. Keep making your wonderful videos. We truly enjoy them! Michael Cefaratti

Thank you for sharing your story. I am an Ex-Aussie, in that I left in 2014, and I don't see myself returning, except for a holiday, perhaps. Moving to Italy (Sicily) in the coming months, and looking forward to new challenges after living in Eastern Europe for the last few years. Keep sharing your travels and stories.

Hi Fiorella, Thank you for sharing and letting us know your story! I can definitely relate to giving up the high salary for my own business! Can I ask you if you guys can do a video on how you handle being paid from another country and getting your money there in Italy. That is one of my concerns being able to handle the transfer of funds and having money available to live there. I'm so ready for the simple life!

What a heartfelt video Fiorella. I am now 70 and worked in a man centric corporate world my entire life until I retired. The money was good but not worth stress nor the mental breakdowns that would occur with each lay off or company closing. Thank you for being so honest and I am so happy you have peace and happiness in your life and the fact that your Adan has been your rock. Love from Canada 🇨🇦

Thank you Fiorella. I'm sure having Aden by your side makes your decision-making so much easier. I can't believe the multitude of people out there who, like me, are ready to "leap" but can't or haven’t for one reason or another. Maybe we can all move together in one leap!! Wishing everyone the courage to make it happen. 🙏

Ciao. Perhaps try the colder season as owners put their prices down then. If you stay away from the sea side cities you might be able to get a good deal after October and before May. If you plan on staying in our town will be happy to put you in touch with someone

Yes Australian government has gone whack since COVID and it's just getting worse over there. But on the other hand, Italy was very bad as well. You couldn't even get out of your house in Italy. So I hope it stays ok I love Italy. I think it's gorgeous. I would love to move there but I am afraid to go there because of what happened during covid Anyway this was a great video and I wanted to tell you before how beautiful and young your mother looks 🥰I
