The whole Italy team is complicit. Other players on the pitch didn't overrule #7 and the manager, captains and spirit captains all allowed him to continue playing the rest of the game

Italy tolerates cheaters. Disgusting. Their national governing body should discipline those players. Rossi did ok. I've never wanted a team to lose as much as I wanted Italy to lose.

57:11 would have been a red card in soccer. Clear and intentional foul that prevented an immediate scoring opportunity. Same guy as from 39:00 too. Advisors and observers really need to get a handle on this stuff. Honestly, I think the spiking and celebrating is over the top and it's really been the bellwether for poor spirit to me.

That's not how I see it. On that play, the players reached the right outcome, in about the same amount of time it takes for VAR in football or rugby or cricket. It did rely on Rossi coming through with some excellent spirit, the kind that has to be commended and encouraged. Some of the other plays I wouldn't have agreed with the outcome, based on the video angles we had available. But then, referees make mistakes all the time too. For some of the more contentious ones, which the commentators did a great job of calling out, there might have been opportunities for a spirit timeout, or words between coaches for specific players to calm down. I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of suspension as a backstop. Either blue/yellow cards by consensus between advisors, or maybe the TD can review evidence and suspend somebody for their next game.
