Welcome to a throwback when the weather was lovely, cool cars were out on the road/track (instead of being tucked away) & we had some of the best experiences ever!
Join us as we take Dan Lawrence's cammed, K20/K24 Frankenstein Honda S2000 on individual throttle bodies onto Castle Combe Circuit! Not only were there some interesting cars on track, but we got involved in am epic track battle with a BMW E36 race car on semi-slick tyres!
We also look back to the first "shakedown" track session when the Accelerate Mk1 Mazda Mx5 was first Supercharged! After reading well above 100DB on my decibel reader (above Castle Combe's limit) I was very nervous!

Take some wire wool and put up your pipe for testing if your worried take it out later and know where the drive byes are 😊

Hi guys, just literally found this video 📹!!.....it's great to watch, that S2000 is a joy to see in action!!!. Just point 👉 and shoot... car is so nimble!!!🚘.. couldn't believe how it breezed past those imprezas!!!😱!!! Being a subaru driver myself!!! I am a motorsport photographer and always enjoy my visits to Castle Combe race track 👍 Great footage and well presented!! Have subscribed to see more videos soon ☺ 👍👌

Wow! Thank you for the kind words! 🙏 We do enjoy Castle Combe, and have a few videos coming soon...including my first "mishap" on track lol Dan's S2000 really is one hell of a track weapon! He inspired me to buy my Honda S2000! Plus, Dan is an incredible driver and knows how to get the best out of the thing! Really appreciate the support! Jesus!... the driver was epic!!!... we came out of the pits last, and he said we will be 1st in a couple of laps!!! Bloody hell!! He wasn't joking!!.😱🏁.. so yeah, love speed and watching the action as well on track! Will look forward to watching your up coming videos!! Keep up the fantastic work both of you!! @@paulwolfie4395 my pleasure mate! Wow! Purpose built race cars really are something else! Especially when they are driven by people that can drive! Very lucky man you are! Lol I have been fortunate enough to drive a Jaguar JP-LM and a Formula 3000 car with an instructor. And he told me I had to go faster in order to get the aerodynamics to work 😂 learned a lot about track driving from that day! Balls deep into my 350z track build and you've got me questioning my car choice... That S2000 looks so nimble yet planted, something I don't think I'll ever achieve from my fat Nissan. 'Sigh' *opens autotrader*

😂😂😂 In fairness, Dan has put A LOT of time, effort and money into this S2000! And he certainly knows how to handle it. I now own an S2000 and Dan was one of the main influences of that decision, great cars! Ooo, not many people seem to build 350Z track cars, most people build them to go sideways! @@accelerateyoutube That right there is my ideal track car. Only reason I have my Z is because I'm a big V6 fan and always wanted a 350 as a kid. It's heavy and quite sloppy out the box, but hopefully a full polybush overhaul with some decent coilovers will sort it out. Still will never be as sharp as an S2000, but I guess if all I wanted was lap times & cornering speed, I would've just bought a Radical. Cheers pal! Look forward to videos to come from you

What was lap time? I've been twice and I'm around 1.21-1.22 in my fn2 civic. Once I have cooling for brakes sorted I want to break the 1.20 mark if I can

Hi mate can you just confirm this is an actual track day and not an action day. I’ve got a track day tomorrow and I’m just trying to gauge how busy it will be.

My apologies for the delay! I didn't receive a notification for your comment. This was an Action Day not an actual track day. Action Days are always chaotic, and full of "hero" drivers who think they are Lewis Hamilton. Track days tend be a lot more sedate, with driver's who respect each other. Really hope the track day went well. What car did you use on track? - Drew

I’d definitely not say my wanked out scrap build BMW is a race car 😂by any means. But it was fun but I really do have to hold back on public action days due to the shear speed difference between a well driven fast car and all the others. Sad to see that Honda smashed to bits a couple of weeks later at Pembrey having failed to keep up with said scrap built BMW 😂
