In this tutorial we’re going to create a simple item magnet scene that will attract items to it, and use it to make our player AND boomerang sticky and grab those items!

Your explanations are really chill and clear! This one popped up in my recommends but I'll have a look at the full tutorial. This looks like it might be a really good one to try out as I start trying to figure out what I'm doing with Godot.

another banger! does godot script have a dictionary item? in C# you could have a dictionary[item, speed] so that you would only have to deal with 1 array. I know its semantics on if you use it or not, but it got me wondering if godot even supported dictionaries like that? That.. and the more we comment the more engagement score you get :D

Haha, thanks for the comments! So… yeah, godot supports dictionaries, not sure why I didn’t think to use them (other than habit I suppose) that would simplify the code a little. In fact I wonder if a totally different approach would have been better here… open to other ideas 🙂
