Ukrainians are stuck after capturing a string of villages in the middle of nowhere at a staggering snowballing cost and this string of villages can't be held anyway due to horrible logistic. This operation proved to be an unmitigated disaster for Ukraine from the military standpoint. Both Zelenskyy and Sirsky are heavily invested in this failed Kursk misadventure, so they are just reinforcing the failure as they did in Krinki, Bakhmut or a failed Zelenskyy offensive in 2023. It's their usual pattern. They kept Ukrainian troops in Bakhmut when all escape routes were under Russian fire control and it turned into a senseless slaughter. But they didn't stop even at that, after May 20, when Russians took Bakhmut they launched for months wave after wave of suicidal attacks in a futile attempt to recapture Bakhmut. I remember even NYT called it an obsession.

The other side didn't only want those oblasts but wanted territory lost in a previous conflict(despite that half of these oblasts had armed rebellions prior to the current war). Essentially Russia did negotiate since the original terms had been much MUCH more ambitious than the terms Russia offered. Ukraine in turn did not negotiate and wanted everything. Whether you are pro Ukrainian or Pro Russian, it is a fact that Ukraine refused to negotiate.

Btw Kabul fell to US- supported radical islamists 5 years later, not during the withdrawal. US could win this war for Ukraine, tomorrow, freezing current situation + return of occupied Kursk lands. The thermite drone looks impressive... in infrared, but in daylight it shows that it is essentially glorified Bengal fire stick, it will do fire damage if it is concentrated into one place, but spreading it over a wide area will likely not be that bad, it is doubtful if it can even burn through or ignite a standard wooden ammo crate. And it is just common sense to actually not store ammo crates in the open, but rather in trench niches, where the top soil will insulate it from any fire. Thermite is just a shower of sparks, it doesn't have weight and momentum to penetrate, and it won't burn long unless it is dumped at a single spot.

Good information although would be good if you can detail more information on what Squads are being used because when you see some front line changes its like 8-12 soldiers but the media spins it to be like a full brigade when it is a squad or a platoon And if it is more like battalion how far are they from the forces they send to the front Although your analysis is good i think their is even more detail you can show and maybe this is why you have low numbers as some mappers talk more about the different aspects and not just do analysis also you could be being blacklisted as the media does not like the truth to be told they like it to be muted also not sure having 2 channels helps although i get why you did it i actually think the open mic gives alot of detail but i never really see you do a lot of these. but yes maybe you don't do these all on you-tube and that is why you know like if their was more detail on the death accuracy that is not really reported on in the war the war might actually end faster but the main stream is not doing that either. Ukraine best option at the moment would be to accept their going to lose territory and withdraw their troops to the area that Putin said in his agreement he wanted from them then make a deal with Russia. Although he may now want even more territory now Ukraine is in a no win situations that can only get worse for them. Their are options for Ukraine but throwing out your government i mean this seriously is the story no one is talking about but this will not benefit Zelensky it puts him in an even weaker position it just looks more and more like he is the one that needs to be removed to solve the war weather its to carry on with war or get a peace deal.

"can't do $hit about" Russia maintains a few battalions of peacekeepers in Transnistria, and already even 2008, we witnessed how an UNPREPARED Russian battalion was capable of defending against what was effectively TWO DIVISIONS worth of troops after a 12 hour extremely massive artillery barrage. The Russian troops didn't even take serious casualties while the Georgian advance units were completely gutted. The Russian troops in transnistria were better prepared even before 2022. If Georgian troops couldn't crush an EASY target in 2008, with their most elite troops, i really doubt UA would have an easy time about it against a wellprepared and heavily entrenched target NOW, when they have trouble scraping together anything but civillians in uniform with a rifle.

I agree with your analysis. Having more ressources the Russian probably consider that a longer front gives them a strategical adavantage. So they do not want to suppress Ukrainians saillants like in Siversk or Kremina forest where their rears can be bombarded by artillery and drones easily. They do not want also to make the positions with the back to the Oskil river in Koupiansk fall too quickly as it is a very bad position grinding the Ukrainians a lot. It is also thus highly possible that they will not try to reduce completely the kusrk saillant but will try to transform it into an artillery pocket death trap. The wise movement from the Ukrainians would be to reduce the front length just as the Russians did when they were lacking troops leading to sucessful Ukrainians offensives in Kherson and Izium. So they should get rid of their positions across the Oskil rivers and the Donetz canal completely to reconstruct an operational reserve. I am not sure they have the political will to dit nevertheless.

I will tell you WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING (12:34). RF carry out *raids* close to the urban centres like Kostyantynivka so the civilians pack their things and go. If the front line was too close too fast, you would get panic like Pokrovsk and RF could not storm the city anyway. They are not animals.

One interesting technical issue (at least to me) in the Ukraine War is: Why can't Russia destroy the commie blocks in Vuhledar? Vuhledar is within easy range of all Russian weapons. It is difficult to believe that the fortifications in Vuhledar are impervious to destruction in 2024. Has Ukraine along with the Soviets of long ago, been able to build an indestructible fortification? Would Tall Boys or Grand Slams work?

It is not an interest of Russia to destroy city after city. Simple as that.

The FAB1500 and 3000 are the heaviest bombs they have. To my knowledge unlike the tall boy/grand slam they are not equipped with penetrative bodies and delayed fuses. They could knock down the buildings but bunkers and tunnels underneath might remain intact. The kinzhal probably enough kinetic energy to initiate a seismic effect but they aren't generally used on tactical battlefield targets.
