Brings back memories! We had an old Sears reel mower (made by Toro?) back in 1960 and we would dump our clippings on the driveway to dry out. They would reduce in volume by about 75%. I know you were frustrated with your neighbor but you did get a lot of free water. You needed my Snapper with the old Pac-N-Sac catcher to pick up all of those cuttings. I use it to mulch and catch all the leaves in the fall and then dump them immediately in the compost pile. Your front yard is already looking great! Finally, McLane was great to work with - they are already sending out the new master link for the drive wheel chain that fell apart. Gee - maybe I need another reel mower....

I ran into the same problem with my bermuda. Too thick! Cut north n south, east n west. Diagonal and was still cutting. Pulled out the Sunjoe and finished it off! Ran the mower one more time to clean up. Put my seed out on Sunday. Will see how it went in a few days.

I used a detacher last year on my lawn but it was very aggressive. I wanted to take a simpler path this year and see what kind of result i get. Good luck with your overseed and keep me posted on how it comes out 👍🏻

Should have kept mowing with the grass catcher cause no matter what you have to remove the clippings off the lawn

Oh trust me. I ran it so many time off camera. I agree you have to remove all the clipping you can 👍🏻

Overseeding Bermuda with Bermuda is not a good idea. The textures and color won’t match. You maybe able to get away with some varieties of hybrid Bermuda grass seed but not many on the market. Don’t goto your big box store as most Bermuda sold is common Bermuda and will absolutely have no chance of matching hybrid Bermuda. Thanks for comment 👍🏻

Only time will tell. Looks like a great mower. I do live in California so i am unsure if i will be able to get a gas powered one when they go on sale In 2024. I appreciate the comment and support 👍🏻

Dwayne what about the ban on gas engines in Cal-i-for-nut-ta? Let's see first they ban gas engines starting in 2024 next they mandate that fast food workers will be pain a minimum of $20/hour and now you use the pretense of over seeding your lawn with rye so you can purchase the new Revolution-26 so that you can produce new content over the winter months. I for one would love to see a video of how you explained this new mower to your wife. I bet that would be quite interesting but it does show that there are a few citizens of your State that have not lost their minds.

Lol. My wife is very supportive. I won’t lie that timing is important as you mention the law goes into effect in 2024. We will have to see if there any loop holes. For example i am Still unclear if you are able to buy a mower from a different state and have it shipped to you. Yes you won’t be able to goto a local dealer and buy one. Only time will tell. I will give it some thought on having a video on how to convince your wife. Lol . I appreciate your comment and support !!!
